I've got a 28foot tri tool with 3 merc 450 r s and you should really get faster than that I'm running 138mph

Given the weight of this boat I'm doubtful that trips add to the top end speed. I've been wrong at least once before but twin 300s would probably get it to the same top end. I've been building and running fast boats all my life and I don't care what anyone tells me, I'm not going over 50 in any pontoon anything. I picture them coming apart at speed and the mess that would cause.
