people...45mph in a pontoon boat is quite fast..plus these boats seem to be the best of both worlds...chillin...fishin...boarding...skiing....awesome boat!
I must be getting old because these really appeal to me now. I've seen the videos of ones down in Florida running triple 300's or twin 400's doing 60mph+. Out of my budget, but impressive machines.
A Molson there's sombody in the midwest building them with the option of triple 7 marines on them. 7 marine 627 hp. Basicly a supercharged 6.2gm ls motor mounted on a lower unit.
My grandparents had one --- in the summers me and my cousins would stay with them(4 boys). We water skiied everyday -- had hot babes on board 24/7(literally)! The MasterCraft nerds had nothing on us. Everybody wanted in the "Viking" deck boat.
Rented a pontoon at Lake Meade a couple of years ago - full throttle she hit half the speed of smell. I have a new found likeness for pontoons!!! Thanks for sharing this video. :)
Back in my highschool days, my dad had a Chaparral 23 foot boat, it had a 5.3 Chevy V8 (I don't remember if it was an LS/vortec or not) and a Volvo Penta dual prop out drive, and it'd do 45-50 depending on load. One day his buddy showed up to the lake with a tritoon, and it was the first one any of us had ever seen, and it had a damn Chevy 350 in an inboard/outboard setup in it, LOL. That bastard kept right up with my dad's Chaparral, it was hilarious. The funniest part was that at speed, it threw HUGE waves off of the front of the pontoons since it didn't have any little canards to deflect the water spray, so he'd pass you basically looking like a rolling wake with a Bimini top and people's heard sticking out of it. Thing was hilarious. I didn't know they were still making tritoons until this video, nice to see there's still demand for silly awesome stuff. :)
Was in Branson on Tablerock Lake last week and caught one of these cruising out of the marina at night, one hell of a sight with the lighting on the water...
Nice boat there. My 22ft Veranda with a Yamaha 250hp will almost hit 50mph. I never thought I'd own a pontoon until I test drove this one. Best of both worlds.
Corp Vet you can grab a portable toilet for $80 at any camping store. Flushing & self contained. They can cover up with a towel or something. If sombody has to drip a deuce they can just go swimming.
I had a friend that a 30 foot tritoon and we loved that thing. It would do 35 with 10 head on it but it never ran like that but we enjoyed that boat because we had a large group of friends and we would usually all carry our boats but around 4 oclock we were on the pontoon for the rest of the night. All it was was a party on water. Definitely worth the money
Never watched a One Wake Video as I don't have a interest in Boats. But watched this and actually enjoyed it. Look forward to seeing mor boat videos Matt.
I recently rented a tri-toon boat while visiting Lake Havasu - it couldn't come close to the speed of this one but it was a good fit for a family with kids.
Forget testing this 300HP pool float for 10 on turns and wakes. Add TST staff and start jettisoning them at 30, 35, 40 MPH to test their survival and satisfaction. That will be reality once alcohol is added.
Growing up, my father always had speed boats. I would make fun of pontoon boats as we flew past them. Now hes starting to get a little older, he recently traded the speed boat in for a Pontoon, and I'm in love. When I buy a boat, itll definitely be a Pontoon. The truth is, when you're flying 40mph or so, the engine is loud, the wind is loud, it's fun for a little, but on the lake theres no destination. I'm just driving on the lake for the sake of driving on the lake. I can comfortably bring 8 or so friends out, and just park cruise along. Park somewhere and drink beer, swim, grill, and hang out. Theres multiple decks and doors. Overall, I just get a much more fun experience in a day of boating on a pontoon boat.
Benjamin Burkhardt yea...the heaviest outboard per hp on the planet. No thanks. I'll stick with an e-tec. If I want a four stroke I'll go 7 marine. Screw honda.
Bad ass! I've never owned a boat. I've never had any interest in them. This boat might change my mind. Very cool! It's a floating room on the water. I dig it
I don't know anything about boats but a boat like this looks awesome. I'd love a big, flat boat so I can fit 13 friends and spend the entire day drinking in the water.
When you are in CT try and make a collaboration with UA-camr Nick Murray he makes some car content but occassionally did helicopter reviews as I believe he was a pilot
I grew up on boats. My Parents had boats on Lake Michigan for 25 years. I love em but I also remember a sign my Dad had on our 42 ft Christ Craft. It said definition of a boat: it’s a hole in the water that you throw money into!!! LOL!!! Which can be true, however we used ours like a vacation cottage. So if you subtract the property Taxes’s and the higher cost of the land based building. It probably was not that expensive, (yea rite!!!) except the yearly maintenance and the fact that it got about 7 th’s of a mile to a gallon of gas!!!! It was powered by 2-283 cid V8 motors swinging 2-22inch props!! Ours was a wood boat so the bottom had to be repainted every year and it had to be completely checked bow to stern for any dry rot. It typically toot us a month of weekends to get it ready for the water each season. But it was worth it!!!! It also provided my Dad and I a great father and Son bonding experience. One year we both took the US Power Squadron Course where we learned how to plot courses and other cool marine stuff. Of course who needs Course plotting with all the GPS technology that we have today. However that was back in the 70’s.
Damn!! Wish we could have had these things back in the 80's on Lake Hamilton back home in Arkansas. All we had was ponderous and slow as hell party barges.
My first experience with a pontoon was when I was 15 and a developer on our lake in NH hired me to show perspective customers around. Absolutely HATED that thing. 40HP Johnson, top speed of about 10mph. Took what felt like hours to get across the lake. Fast forward to today and these things rock. I'm really thinking about getting rid of my 23' Chaparral and going with one of these. So much more room and you never have to worry about chipping or scratching the gel coat. If you're boating on a lake these things are just way more practical.
I love this style of review talking about it while testing it alot of boat channels will walk you around it then show you a minute of it performing and I prefer this much more good job
I used to always have runabouts or ski boats with big American V8s and the only thing my pontoon doesn’t do that those would is sound good. The new pontoons are awesome. Ride good, good top speed and tons of room. Only thing you can’t do that specialty boat can is probably wakeboard or surf.
Look's sweet. Did a 2 part rant, about the Duck boat roll over in Branson last month. Someone asked if I approved the Tritoon? Great looking boat. Look's stable, but not cheap. Fast enough to get out of its own way. Saftey issues aside, ( P.F.D.s) for everyone. And (SHOW ME YOU CAN SWIM) . Last (NO GRABASS) . Let's have some fun. (RABBID BOB)
Is it just me or does the idea of a dozen people on a pontoon boat drinking beer going 60 mph sound like a recipe for disaster.? I guess I'm just getting old. lol
Man pontoons have come a long way! Matt if I could give some advice...you should start going over the features of the boats more. Do more of a quick walk around showing storage, live wells, etc...
We called em party boats in the 60s. They had an upper sun deck that had no seats, and there were always kids up there. The ones I saw never went to fast though.
Very cool boat, I'm loving the One Wake series. That price is batshit insane for a pontoon but I live in SoFl and frequently see center consoles that sell for 500K or more so I'm sure there's a market. If my numbers ever come up in the lotto a 100mph pontoon sounds like an excellent way to scare the living piss out of my friends and family.
Matt, some corrections on the Yamaha F300. It shares a Naturally Aspirated 4.2L V6 that is available in models from the VF200/225/250 SHO & F225/250/300. people...45mph in a pontoon boat is quite fast..plus these boats seem to be the best of both worlds...chillin...fishin...boarding...skiing....awesome boat!
Dirt Goon there's a few out there that are capable of nearly 70. 12' wide with 3 (yes, 3) 300 hp etecs clamped on the back.
200hp in my 22' does about 45mph. thats MORE than fast enough for any boat
I as a 21 year old, am trying to talk my 53 year old father out of a speed boat and onto one of these. Times are a changin'. His mind is not...
mike carf 45 isn’t “quite fast” there are pontoon boats the go more the dibble that
chris economides yes, but 45 is still fast on a pontoon
I must be getting old because these really appeal to me now. I've seen the videos of ones down in Florida running triple 300's or twin 400's doing 60mph+. Out of my budget, but impressive machines.
A Molson Now those ones "down in Florida" are doing about 60 without even having to move.
MrCarGuy20 oh god 😂
A Molson there's sombody in the midwest building them with the option of triple 7 marines on them.
7 marine 627 hp. Basicly a supercharged 6.2gm ls motor mounted on a lower unit.

Where do you piss? Just off the back free style? Must be fun drinking beer and having 13 people on board and you need to piss.
Princess Peach you get in the water and piss then get back in
God damn I loved reading this story...but its shocking how much i dont know shit about boats 😂
ThisAccountIsNeverUsed not anymore...volvo now owns 7 marine. The most powerful outboard on the planet.
My dad gas a 21ft glastron right now with 5.7 in it goes 60
Was in Branson on Tablerock Lake last week and caught one of these cruising out of the marina at night, one hell of a sight with the lighting on the water...
Awesome boat. Looks very comfortable, convenient, and well-rounded.
Seeing a pontoon go fast is quite possibly one of the funniest things I've seen. Reminds me of the movie "Turbo".
My neighbor just bought a pontoon boat....I thought he was nuts but now I'm thinking it's actually pretty cool. Seating for 13!!!!!!
Nice boat there. My 22ft Veranda with a Yamaha 250hp will almost hit 50mph. I never thought I'd own a pontoon until I test drove this one. Best of both worlds.
In land you can't beat a pontoon boat.
Great for hanging, cruising, and fishing.
I wasn't even aware of this category. Looks fun enough for inland waters.
That looks like one FUN toy!!! Liking the One Wakes, too! Thanks for sharing, TST team!
Party barges are were it's at, I don't understand why more people don't go this route.
agreed. most people spend 90% of their time at 0-15mph. i mean, gas is expensive and it's hard to drink at 60.
no where to piss, well more difficult for ladies unless she has a shooting clit
Your wakeboarding boat you spent $80k on but never will really wakeboard behind because you're too old ain't got a pisser on it either.
Corp Vet you can grab a portable toilet for $80 at any camping store. Flushing & self contained. They can cover up with a towel or something. If sombody has to drip a deuce they can just go swimming.

Never was interested in Boats. Now I am. Thanks Matt, giving me ne targets in life :)
Don't buy one though, You won't be able to sell it again. That's the boat life.
Never watched a One Wake Video as I don't have a interest in Boats. But watched this and actually enjoyed it.
Look forward to seeing mor boat videos Matt.
Audio is on point. Glad you figured it out.
I love My Southbay pontoon boat ....fantastic boat company , craftsmanship is right on !
24-28 footers: "we hit 45 to 50".
Tri-Toon: *HOLD MY BEER*
I've never seen a pontoon boat before but I really want one now - that looks like a great place to be
I recently rented a tri-toon boat while visiting Lake Havasu - it couldn't come close to the speed of this one but it was a good fit for a family with kids.
Forget testing this 300HP pool float for 10 on turns and wakes. Add TST staff and start jettisoning them at 30, 35, 40 MPH to test their survival and satisfaction. That will be reality once alcohol is added.
$95,000 .......P.T. Barnum was right . " There's a sucker born every minute " !!!
Lmao really
They're living rooms on the lake
Yessssss
Only problem i see with 13 people drinking on a boat....Where's the toilet? 🤔🙄🥴
I see they did some weight reduction on that Challenger.
Juan Perez LOLZ LE EPIC TROLL XDDD
Pontoon boats remind me of driving around in your living room.
I love pontoon boats! There are not many boats that you can have a party/BBQ on! They even make them with inboard/outboard motors. Very cool boats!
wo!
I love how you are doing Boats now!! What a refreshing change of pace! I love Boats!!
Thanks a Bunch!!
One Wakes are awesome. Keep that up!
Awesome video, didn't realize how cool pontoons are.
These one wake videos are pretty cool.

The new Dodge Challenger.
GamerNRetro probably lighter than one
according to their website, 2970 lbs dry, so probably 3400-3500 lbs all in.
Which is what? like 900-1000 lbs less than a hellcat?
HA!
Naw this handles better.
GamerNRetro unlike a dodge...the boat is capable of turning at speed.
That's a weird looking civic
John Roberts VTECCCCCCCCCC
I totally see it.
Benjamin Burkhardt yea...the heaviest outboard per hp on the planet. No thanks. I'll stick with an e-tec. If I want a four stroke I'll go 7 marine. Screw honda.
Looks like a great platform for inland waterway photography.
this one has a nice suspension, almost no body roll, whatsoever.
Think its time for a refresh of the 'One Wake' series since its near to spring.
First OneTake
Now OneWake
I can't wait for OneBake!
Love the spill bear test. Winner!
I love these boating videos. This time in a mopile livingroom-porch at 50. ;)
I really don't care about boats . I'm here for the cars but that is a Sweet Boat . A very nice video I enjoyed it
thanks for more boats Matt i love these one wakes
When you said "can you zip up your jacket" I thought it was going to follow with "so you don't catch a cold" lol 😂
And.....that’s why women look even better when they keep their 🤐.LOL
@@MJ-fj9yv what the fuck? You must live a sad shitty lonely life LMAO 😂
I thought he was looking too hot with his jacket unzipped lol
That's one bad ass pontoon boat! Beautiful too!
My grandma's gonna love it.
AWESOME video. PLEASE do more boats.
95 grand? It's nice but not $95 grand nice.
Slam Dunk Slam Dunk agree
Slam Dunk Slam Dunk ya totally agree , that's just fucken retarded, no way near worth 95 grand in my book
The engine is 65.
That’s brand new. Buy a used one and it’ll be 1/2 - 3/4 of that.
Marine 7 makes a 625hp outboard engine for $95k
now that looks like a comfy boat
You should get your pilots license for when you are done with all the boats
vikram I just did my first flight, it was fun, but it didn't make me want to commit to the whole process.
TheSmokingTire Glad you love life man. Keep up your dream alive. Peace.
When you are in CT try and make a collaboration with UA-camr Nick Murray he makes some car content but occassionally did helicopter reviews as I believe he was a pilot
Not to mention the cost!
'TheNoSmokingTire' One Takeoff a new series.
Matt, you should start reviewing small planes next! (after you get your Private Pilots License of course).
If he starts small he doesn't even need a license
He should start reviewing trains next.
funkingitup Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Perfect.
Apple butters planes, trains, and automobiles. and boats.
Luminda Gunawardena oo
114 (!!!) mph in a bathtub? Holy jesus!
WindmillStalker yea that boat had triple merc 300x on it, which they don’t make anymore. However they are still they fastest
Omg no way!! I live 30 minutes away from Lake Lanier. Wish I'd known you were coming I would have met up with you on my
Sea-doo.
Next week Matt puts his entire life savings on red in our new series "one stake".
I grew up on boats. My Parents had boats on Lake Michigan for 25 years. I love em but I also remember a sign my Dad had on our 42 ft Christ Craft. We have a Bennington tri toon with two 350hp Yamaha engines a customer ordered just under $200k. Clocked in at 64 mph
I have that boat with the Yamaha SHO 300 AND I'm running 58 mph to 60 mph 2 people added a 6" jack plate made all the difference
MrBikerbuck1 Yamaha doesn't make a 300 SHO.
Damn!! Wish we could have had these things back in the 80's on Lake Hamilton back home in Arkansas. All we had was ponderous and slow as hell party barges.
pretty rad boat, Im digging the one wake trend man! good job at overtaking chris harris in many ways! keep up the good job man!
Wow, talk about the best of both worlds.
But does it take Glock magazines?
I love this style of review talking about it while testing it alot of boat channels will walk you around it then show you a minute of it performing and I prefer this much more good job

Shout out from Atlanta! Glad you are finding some cool stuff!
Bulllshit
That is genuinely astounding to me. Not my grandfather's pontoon boat.
Look's sweet. Did a 2 part rant, about the Duck boat roll over in Branson last month. Someone asked if I approved the Tritoon? Great looking boat. Look's stable, but not cheap. Don't forget to update the title intro! ;) Nicely done video. I like that you're shaking it up and keeping it fresh Matt.
Good lawd that's a fast pontoon! Bet it's got a hell of a price tag too.
Scott Shirley 95k
Get this man a speed boat to review :)
SPEED AND ALCOHOL SMART DUDE. THE AMERICAN DREAM.
When you absolutely positively have to get your drunk ass to the other side of the lake in a hurry LOL
My pontoon boat has triple merc 9.9s.......ya it does!! Champion
People hate these? These look awesome! Damn I wish I had one lol.
imagine cruising up next to a baja or cigarette boat and proceeding to pass them at 100mph in a f*cking pontoon lol
Looks like a smooth boat
Is it just me or does the idea of a dozen people on a pontoon boat drinking beer going 60 mph sound like a recipe for disaster.? I guess I'm just getting old. lol
Man pontoons have come a long way! Matt if I could give some advice...you should start going over the features of the boats more. Do more of a quick walk around showing storage, live wells, etc...
Cool vid of an awesome boat! I just got a Bennington.
i don't even care for boats but that was a good video!
Honda makes 250hp outboards that are basically Acura TLX engines modified for marine use. They even have VTEC!
Driving it looks fun.... but WHAT do you do with yourself once your out there? Just sit around and talk with friends?
That is CRAZY fast in a pontoon boat.
Cool video about watercraft. Thanks @thesmokingtire for the interesting content.
Wish I could thumbs up more than once
We called em party boats in the 60s. They had an upper sun deck that had no seats, and there were always kids up there. The ones I saw never went to fast though.
Very cool boat, I'm loving the One Wake series. That price is batshit insane for a pontoon but I live in SoFl and frequently see center consoles that sell for 500K or more so I'm sure there's a market. Nice to see Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys has gainful employment
Beautiful boat, and it's fast !
That's a fast hellcat
Matt, some corrections on the Yamaha F300. It shares a Naturally Aspirated 4.2L V6 that is available in models from the VF200/225/250 SHO & F225/250/300. Almost all current Yamaha four strokes are designed to rev to 6000rpm at full throttle. The F115 revs to 6300rpms. That boat may be propped incorrectly, and may need to come down an inch in propeller pitch.
Yeah, I work for Yamaha! We're headquartered in Kennesaw.
Loving the boat reviews, keep it up!
I hit 48 MPH with Evinrude G2 200 HO and a 24 foot Montego Bay pontoon and 7 people.
The living room of the lake!
Love our pontoon. Nothing near this fancy but wouldn't want one that nice for fishing. That's probably 100k.
Love these one wake's
Basically, they're 3 canoe hulls lashed together. Should be quick.
I live 30 minutes away. Love lake lanier.
We have a 2012 230 Boston Whaler with a 250 Verado if your looking to do more reviews! Love this series I'm a boat guy!
