There was some information missed on Tip #2. The default commands are in place first so you can’t change them. You first pick make a copy on the prompt first after you chose your command keys. Then save them as an option to go back to. Default commands blocks you with the make a copy prompt before your custom command is made.
Tip #1 is going to be used every time! I drove myself crazy re-edited my whole movie l, because the music was a fraction of a second off due to an afterthought edit, and I didn’t catch it till the end.

I find I have so many of these long clips that I can’t find my short intro, extras, etc. I was going to ask about cutting down the size and as I’m typing you just told me a tip for reducing the size! Thanks!
Thanks! Something that I do is I set up a folder structure on my harddrive to work on my current videos but then I have specific folders for stuff that I use a lot like assets, etc. Also, in Final Cut Pro I make an event with those assets (in your case, intros, extras, etc) to access when I need them on specific videos. I hope this makes sense and was what you were looking for. I could maybe make a video about it
Yeah, a video explaining that would be awesome. Right now, I have 15 thirty minute videos in the library. So I’m scrolling forever (and missing) to find the intros, extras and other like four to ten second videos I insert. In Finder, I’d sort by file size, but I don’t know if that’s in FRCP. But it sounds like your idea is better. Thanks!
@@willhallfilms it is just a little easier I find bc you just need 2 keys instead of 3....Lol And I Can go between Command Z and Option Z quickly if need... Actually I use the Key between Command and control which is Alt I think and not. option, sorry, but either will work..

I made the automatic speed command to Option Z and it is much easier than pressing 3 keys. I also shoot 90% in 60p and that saves a lot of time.
