Criminal-Eminem
when em was still real and homophobic, the best em has ever been
Yes. Great flow with early em.
no favors Eminem
Criminal and role model is the best Em period
Fire asf 🔥 🔥
Bro on the left has come such a long way from the initial EM reactions. He was cold / non-reactionary but as he’s warmed up to EMs songs he is straight into it. He’s also upped his game and catching bars / becoming a lot more knowledgeable in backstories / general knowledge. Kudos to you my man.
Was great to watch how he's changed from his initial reactions to now where he's really enjoying himself. Eminem has definitely grown on him.
One on the right had a couple of special ed classes
I also noticed that months ago, glad Em has grown into him
@@auto1640IM CRYING AT THIS LMAO
So True
This album never deserved the hate it got. Such a masterpiece of storytelling and crazy bars.
Its actually kind of a cult classic now
Me and all my buddies in my neighborhood bumped this shit in 8th grade when it dropped . Good times
I can guarantee that every person who says that Em "sucks" would completely change their tune of they just sat down and actually listened to him. We most likely will never hear someone like Em ever again in our lifetime so enjoy him while he's still here
In an Eminem song the answer is practically never “because it rhymed.”
Heck yeah
1000%
Ehhhh, but he’s also almost always painting a narrative or telling a story. Like the placenta line, he’s setting up the narrative of him desintegrating babies / horrorcore imagery.
He even had a line stating that he’s "got no filler"
Exactly! He doesn't do it just to rhyme; it's either he's telling a story or he's passing a message. Like in this song, he's telling a story about a serial killer from first person perspective.
This is from the album “Relapse”. It’s a dark album where he takes on the persona of a serial killer throughout the whole album. And talks in this accent in the whole album. It’s like a horror movie on an album. It got bad reviews because people didn’t like his strange accent, but it was a crazy lyrical master piece.
For real. It's his best album imo
One of my favourite albums
Fucken great album
One of my favs also along with revival people trash revival and it went platinum it just goes to show people gonna hate no matter what
Relapse is one of my favorite albums. And stay wide awake has always been one of my all time favorite em songs. I even liked the couple of extra songs he threw in years later on the relapse refill like elevator and the buffalo bill song.
Em"s storytelling is unmatched. It drives you inside on horror movie. He is true artist
Nas is up there easily. Check his song "I gave you power" to convince yourself if what I said is true or not.
@@eduardmanecuta5350 They mean horror... Idont think Nas can make scary songs
@@VsAngeel They? I was replying to @entelapollozhani3227 who said "Em's storytelling is unmatched". There are other master of storytelling out there like Chino XXL who has "Dance with the devil"- I am warning you... it's very dark.
@@VsAngeel I was replying to @entelapollozhani3227 who said "Em's storytelling is unmatched".
@@VsAngeel I also suggest you to lisen to "Dance with the devil". I'm warning you. It's dark, like really dark.
P. S.: SPOILER
The story did happened, but Immortal Technique, the rapper who made "Dance with the devil" wasn't involved like he says in the song. The events took place in Harlem and people who where involved start dying. It became a urban legend that devil was after them.
This is literally what I love about Eminem. He lyrically paints a picture
The scent of a placenta rhyme was in relation to Tupac's song "Brenda's Got A Baby". Also, the Fee-fi-fo-fum was from the fairytale Jack and the Bean Stalk and when he said sit down beside her like a spider was in reference to the Little Miss Muffet nursery rhyme.
Em was definitely in his bag when it came to rhyme schemes and cadence on this song. You guys did nice to notice that. Try the song Stimulate also if you wanna hear another master class in rhyme schemes.
I think he just means he smells a woman
@@michaelbryant3643 yeah thats what he meant
@@michaelbryant3643 scent of a placenta, brenda from tupac song brendas got a baby threw her baby in trash can at the park
Yeah. I think it was just foreshadowing the horror/murder theme of the song. But I understand "over breakdowning lyrics" with em. I've done it myself. Maybe you're right?

Love it when people can enjoy the song and not being turned of by the imagery, shady is insane, you guys are legends.
“Music Box” - Eminem!! He basically tells a horror story in just a few mins! ✌🏼
This is Slim Shady, you're gonna get used to it😅You should check out My Darling. It's my favorite song on this album. I'm your age, most people my age really love that song, it's really dope
i made my song called "Demons" bcuz of that song lol. love it. i used the devil voice in mine is what i meant. check it out!!!
That's my favorite Eminem song
Shiiii my darling is too amazing
My darling for sure
Yes!!! My darlin!!
Ayo Brandon (I think that's your name, the one on the left), just know you are catching so many bars and you've earned many respects from em fans. Just seeing your reaction now compared to how it was the first time you reacted is so different. Fans get so excited when we see new people actually seeing how skillful this man is. Keep it up
Yeah, he caught the internal rhyme scheme. That takes an ear and attention to detail. My guy also caught that the story changed POV mid verse. He's paying attention. I dig it.
Truth 🙏
Amen!!
We about to see another success like NoLifeShaq is getting now. Got shout-outs from em a while back and from snoop a couple of days ago. 4mil subs
@@BeardedWolfKing where are the shoutouts? Are they in songs or interviews? Can you post link(s) please. Thanks
"I'm the kind of guy that's mild but I might flip and get a little bit wilder" - If you flip the word "mild" you get "wild".
When it comes to his wordplay and ability to tell a story the man reaches genius level.
"Stay away from me 'cause I'm dancin' to quite a different drum beat" - this line gets a new meaning when you realise that the beat of the song is a heartbeat.
You guys have a great back and forth between the intellectual and emotional impact to what you react. I just found you recently, but I'm loving everything I'm seeing and hearing.
"Underground" by Eminem is HARD!!! You guys should react to it, for sure..

This the one
Easily one of the worst albums ever - It was such a letdown. Younger crowds tend to like this one. True EM fans that were down since day one don’t see this as one of his greatest. All the accents and all that were just trash. EM even said it himself so that should tell you something.
The beat in this track is a heartbeat. If you listen closely. You'll hear "thumthum" like a heartbeat. From the person he's killing in the song.
This shit blew my mind when I found out. He does so many subtle things that alot of people dont catch. Relapse just might be his best work, from a technical and writing perspective.
People always say the Best Friend verse or chlorosepctic verse are his best, but the second verse on this song is nuts. Every line (minus the first) carries 3 rhyme schemes that rhyme with all the other lines. All while telling a very graphic story in detail. 🔥
That's y he says "stay away from me cuz I'm dancing to quite a different drum beat"
Talking illuminate/ controls in our world
Bringing into the light just like he's always done.

I love how each verse gets progressively better than the previous one and his flow gets even more insane, sooo good..🤯
2nd best
Buffalo bill and music box next 🙏🙏. The whole relapse album he made is from a serial killer perspective. you have think from the point of a killer . it's pretty genius. Damien also referred as son of Sam was a serial killer in new york back in 1980s. Later he admitted he made up the whole son of Sam story. It's pretty crazy. The song you were talking in the end was medicine man
thought it was Damien from The Omen movies the evil child.
Music box is nasty
@@TwistedFnJoker you could be right. Son of Sam was David berkowitz
@@lackofabettername3589 yes he was referring to the omen.

I'm right there with you.
Same bro. Great times
I've been listening to Em since I was 4 years old riding in the back of my daddy's shitbox town car and I have always been fascinated by language and the way words could be interchanged to convey different messages/ideas/emotions. So, from a young age I learned to pick out bars and make connections (especially when it came to all the controversy and fueding of the early 00's). That being said, watching you guys listening to these songs for the first time has forced me to catch shit that SAILED over my head my entire life. Thank you for the gift of a new perspective 🥂🥂
real (I liked my own comment)
Best song Eminem ever laid down.
The rhyme schemes and flow is unparellelled
👁🤔
That boy Brandon got them Eminem ears for sure these days. Top of the cartier family class my man. Boy is glued into eminems flow. Delivery and catching bars... much love all you guys from Ireland. Great channel
Just thinking that. He really gets what he's listening to. He's not just hearing the song he's really taking it in
Brandon knows shit
he needs re-react to ‘The Way I Am’ cuz he was sleepin’ on it
This song was actually made by Em while he was quitting drugs and was in a pretty dark place, that's why he putting such bars out from the perspective of a serial killer.
Them bars and them rhyme schemes are discusting
Much love fam!
Hey Brandon, love how far you’ve come with these reactions to Em. Real one. I’m sure somebody mentioned it but just to let you all know, Son of Sam was a serial killer in NYC. Happy belated man.
Love y'all's Eminem reactions they are so fire glad I found u guys 🔥🔥🔥🔥
‘My Darling’ is another good one from this album. Whole album is like a horror movie. You might not like the accents in every song but it helps with rhyme schemes
yesssss
and Buffalo Bill
That album as a whole is mad underrated imo.
yea guys do this one
Music box is the best
This song and the whole album it comes from, Relapse, is pure horrocore brilliance. The whole album plays like the greatest of horror films, where Eminem stars as an insane, blood and murder hungry, truly evil, even possessed, serial killer in the same vein as characters such as Norman Bates, Buffalo Bill, Hannibal Lector, Jason Voorhees, and even Leatherface; and real life serial killers like Ted Bundy, Son of Sam, and Ed Gein. It’s a certain horror aesthetic, pushed to the very limits of the extremely dark, horrific, and even scary, more extreme than he ever went before or since, an aesthetic that many of his more casual listeners don’t like or appreciate; even a lot of fans panned this album when it came out. When actually it’s perhaps his most well conceived and most concise, authentically artistic, perfectly executed work of genius that he’s ever made. Or likely ever will make. It was the furthest extreme he’s ever gone, and it goes all the way. He even uses different accents at times, like embodying different characters. And speaking flow wise, lyrically and storytelling wise it’s an immaculate and brilliant piece of work. And the rhyme schemes?? INCREDIBLE. It’s nearly all Shady, no Eminem…and he conceives Shady in this album not as a rap alter ego…but as an actual demon, working through him, that used to only come out in glimpses, but here, he’s taken over completely. Also Dre produced the entire album and made nearly all the beats. And it’s utter perfection. The whole album truly is a work of genius, a brilliant horror film in an album, who’s songs can’t even fully be appreciated unless it’s been listened to from beginning to end. When this album first came out in the late 2000’s, it was poorly received, and wholly misunderstood. It’s only in the last half a decade that it’s been recognized for the work of true artistic genius that it actually is. Eminem isn’t even my favorite rapper. But Relapse has always been my favorite Eminem album, and one of my favorite albums all time. And likely always will be. EDIT: PLEASE DO THE WHOLE ALBUM?? 🙏
This album is a masterpiece
I’m so glad you explained it the way u did…respect…..people don’t understand what Eminem was doing when he made this album…he’s reallly the best to ever do it
when people relapse in drugs they bring out the monster in them... em brought out Slim Shady on the whole album his darker evil side! one of my favourite album from em!
Yeeh the best album ever
You did a great break down of this, thanks for that! I appreciate it when someone geeks out over the genius that is Em
You guys have an awesome channel. You guys actually catch a lot of bars, a lot more than other channels and you pay mad respect to em and those other old heads, much love
I love your channel and watch your reactions every day but sometimes I just love watching y’all’s interactions with each other! Good morning from South Carolina 😊♥️
Haha 😁🥰 love the genuine shock you lot have on your face As a 34-year-old who listens to Eminem for 21 years, there's nothing more gratifying than witnessing somebody else acknowledging his greatness 🙃🙂 I love your videos guys! Greetings from Croatia!
Also 34 here and have been listening since 1998. People's reactions are hilarious
37 here been listening to Eminem since I was 12 13 something like that and. That is the exact same reason why I watch these videos I recently just started watching reaction videos I didn't even know they were a thing but watching these kids listen to some of these Eminem songs for the first time is so gratifying to see them understanding what Eminem's talking about and I'm glad that Eminem has grown on them.😊😊
This whole album is insane. The storytelling & the schemes…I hope you can look into this album & see the horrorcore rapping
Relapse was the peak of slim shady. Em fighting with him ever since
I gotta say I LOVE yall watching videos from MY generation...... I love your reaction and it makes it so much better than it was when it was new:)
No cap…This reaction is legendary
React to “Darkness” & “Never Love Again” if you want to see master class lyricism on display by both of those entire songs being double entendres.
Dude. Never love again fucking 🔥
25 to Life also
Every fucking song literally
"Favourite bitch" is a classic also , imma leave it to the guys to catch it ;)
Both songs blew me away when I first heard them. 3/4 of the way through them you realize the songs are an entire double.
Great reaction! This is the only song that ever took me to a scary movie in my head. This is like reading a good Steven King book. Crazy to be able to rap fiction that is crazy like this and rhyme it all and scheme it all. If you get the chance, check out the color-coded lyric version of this.
Love these guys reactions, reminds me when I first listened, I’m 38.. Been around from when EM started ❤
i been watching yall videos for a co9uple hours now, ytall got me laughin but yall gotta remember, alot of eminems shit ur reacting to is well over 15 years old. Respect the skill homeys.
This song is incredible on so many levels. The technical ability displayed with the rhyme schemes and flow is crazy. But, the craziest part is that he's trying to see how much crazy shit he can say but still get you to listen just by flexing his rapping ability. One of my favorites
Couldn't have sed it better..
Relapse is my fav Em album. Massive visual story-telling from start to finish. It's actually a masterpiece.
I thought I was the only one. It’s still my favorite one
Same, fellas! I've always felt this album was an absolute masterclass. Amazing, abstract beats and just wicked lyricism.
Didn’t appreciate it at the time. I just still wanted his real accent back too much. But going back and listening he was way ahead of his time. It’s an absolute masterpiece
"Fee Fi Fo Fum" is from the story Jack and the Beanstalk where it goes "Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell the blood of an Englishman." I only know this because I heard it as a kid but not sure if that story is still read in schools(elementary).
i think i love this shit so much is because i've been such a fan of these bars for so long that it feels good to see somebody appreciate them the way that i do
It's a horror story basically.
Props for writing it. Having creativity to write fictional stories like Frankenstein, or this...something that can send shivers through your spine, damn.
How many horror novels have been made into movies, or how many original horror scripts have been put on the screen. This Wide Awake by Eminem could easily be put in the same category. Crazy Horror writing. It's well written. Very vivid. Of course the imagery is disturbing, but that's what the horror genre is about.
Space bound is a brilliant tune. Fuck! you could put every tune of Eminem's catalogue on every page of the Bible! he has that many banging tracks
so many better songs to react to lmao
Your reactions to Em's music remind me so much of me and my friends reactions when the albums dropped. Lol. Em is phenomenal!
A song from Em you will love is from the 8-mile track called run rabbit run.... straight savage. 💯
it's not run rabbit run it's just rabbit run
I love this dude with the curly hair… he be catching all them insane bars
Best thing is, he only catches about 20 percent of them🤣
He's my favorite out of the group because he's taking reacting to Em's music seriously. He really appreciating Em and trying to catch the bars.
The guy on the left catches the bars. The guy in the middle looks fried. The guy on the left is on crack or something.
Should start his own channel, he’ll definitely learn a lot more
they black, they all got curly hair LOL
"I'm the kind of guy that's M-ild but I might fip and get a a little bit W-ilder" ... Flip M and you get W. Some artists play with the way words are written. If some artists do it, Eminem does it for sure. Crazy man.
Relapse was a special album because he used accents to make different words rhyme on different things, just to bring writing on another level!
This is one of my favorite songs ever and I never caught that. God damn

Alot of people didnt understand when eminem ran out of rhyme schemes that he wanted, around 2009 he started using accents and came with a whole new catalog and it was crazy. The accent helps him twist words to rhyme differently and its genius. unbelievable
Every line almost rhymes, per syllable, with every other line... while telling a story. This is the genius of Em.
I'd suggest "Darkness" a newer song with a double entendre storyline about something pretty important.

This album is hard, he puts it down after he got sober, but it still has some of his undeniable genius. i think his storytelling is brilliant in "3AM" ... but not sure if you've done that. I'll go look at your Eminem playlist & see what's missing. Really enjoying your reactions.

Most people miss that this best is a literal HEARTBEAT!! It’s so sick!!!
Crazy how when this album came out everyone hated it and knocked him for the accents. Me personally I love the accents and it just confirms how much of a word smith he is
Yeah in an interview he said that he used this middle east accent cause it allowed him to rhyme more syllables
He hates it too
@@nicholasdunlap2275 no not really. He as any artist would liked it when he put it out. After a couple years and not much love from media and fans he said he didn't like it and admittedly used too many accents. But as of late he has actually said he doesn't mind them and is coming around to the album more. You can see that in the song discombobulated where he brings them back
Scent of a placenta is a tribute to 2pac's song Brenda's got a baby... he sits next to her on the park bench...every syllable in em's songs have meaning, for those willing to dive into the rabbit holes.
idk if anyone has mentioned this but this song is about staying awake on ambien if you stay awake long enough you start tripping hence the chorus and all the lyrics essentially 😂. This album is a horror movie but lyrically and its so underrated.

It's so cool to watch how geeked out you guys get on m's flow. That's why I love your videos because I know as you guys get older and start learning more you will see the references like placenta and son of Sam are even MORE deep than you already know it is. Keep reaching with an open mind because that's the path to a united country OPEN-MINDEDNESS. TOLERANCE AND CONSIDERATION. I like that you consider things you might not agree with (white boy anthem Tom MacDonald) and see things from a different perspective. You should react to Robin Williams scene in dead poets society when he tells his students to stand on their desks so they can experience a different perspective
The beat….is a heartbeat.😮
