Give them3 to 4 weeks burn-in and they become transparent, sound wise. Before the E5 I had small Wharfedales. The voices and instruments are so much clearer on the E5 and the highs never fatiguing, response quite flat. I did not regret the purchase 3 years ago. Plus I have a BW sub, so, high pass set at 100 hz, it is total hapyness ! For that price, they give you a lot for your dollar.

if you are using cheap cables yes they have hiss and even buzz but if you get good quality cables they work and sound fine
