Great review. Thanks for sharing. Too bad we don't get the ID.3 in USA/CAN, it would be a great commuter car. Also, wanted to highlight that you blasted past the police at 10:51 up to top speed...Love the autobahn 😎
I was somewhat dissapointed that the 58Kwh battery is in fact 55kwh in day 1, decreased to 52Kwh in 6 months and further down to 50kwh in 2-3 years. Smaller capacity to begin with and degradation at higher rates. Are the new batteries 52Kwh (net) and 59Kwh (net) different than the old 45Kwh (gross 55) and 58Kwh (gross 62)? Or is it just the buffers which are different?
@@zminski The highest I have seen with the 52 kWh battery was 53 kWh, but it is now down to 49.75 kWh after 11 months (lowest indication has been 49.55).
I’m on my third ID.3 since October 2020 (company cars). I have four years practice and I am *still* unable to reliably get +1/+10 on the cruise control switch. The UX on that is terrible. It pains me to see that for all the improvements they’ve made, we’re still stuck with that absolute horror of a steering wheel. The sporty GTX would have been a great excuse to replace that. It’s so frustrating, truly an unforced error. They could have taken any existing Golf or Polo steering wheel it would have been a better car. They spent millions in R&D to get us… this. It’s impossible that no tester noticed. What executive pushed this through against all common sense?
2:30 I do not like the placement of the gear selector, they should have put it at lower right side. This so they could still have separate stalk for wipers at upper right.
I really think reviewers should let us know what the weight of the car is. I can't wait for lighter EVs. It will also give us an idea of whether there have been improvements in energy density
Cheap nasty plastic interior, the infotainment unit looks garbage, the front of the car is ugly as f, no wonder Volkswagen is in big financial trouble, their ID EVs cars get price reduction from one week to another, overpriced metal,no thank you
I love that they went rwd. Maybe the r version could add a small motor in the front for those who want more power

They changed the red somehow. It was more like wine and is now more cherry....if I am not mistaken. I like!
Kings Red is the red for other models
This is honestly a very enticing car. Kinda want one. Fun, small but not cheaply made, still efficient and charges fast. Software is also good.
i'm still bummed that they don't allow towing on ID3
I wish there was someone break-testing the bike mount hitch thing. In a pinch I'm sure it can be useful.
4:47 Batter is his new nickname 😅
We only get the ID.3 GTX Performance in the UK!
But you cannot drive 200...
@@abraxastulammo9940 No, 120.. so dead slow (LOL)
Was hoping for a performance review.
Only in Germany can you pass a police on the highway going 180 km/h 😄
The Federal Police is not responsible for road traffic affairs. And it wasn't illegal ;)
Hi, is it lower than a regular Id3? If so do you know by how much ?
15mm in the back; 10mm in the front.
But will it drift?

Herbert Diess was CEO when they decided touch buttons.
The interior was why I decided to buy Enyaq rather than Id4.
The ID2 all looks better
They still have plenty of time to uglify it before it gets released 😅
@@abraxastulammo9940 Reports are, design is fixed now.. So finally a small FWD EV on it's way.

As long as ID3 and ID4 have toy armrests for front seats, they wont be for me. So uncomfortable 😮
What!! What do you want a chesterfield sofa armrest and some naked virgins with ostrich feathers cooling you for your comfort.
That front is still very ugly, nah,no thank you
Front looks good with short hood. EV with long hood is ICE old design.

Du wirst zu 1-dimensional........ein Schicksal, das viele UA-camr teilen. ich habe mir das Video nicht angesehen.
