@@sheldonfrancis25 hi, Sheldon, There are lots of nice and healthy recipes in the Mediterranean diet, but maybe best to ask your doctor first for approval:) I wish you to always be well and healthy. 🙏🏻
Same here. Muted, but recipes look delicious. Will use less fat though, should still turn out good. P.S. I see that a number of people didn't like the music,
If you dry your cod well, then season, coat and air dry for about 30 minutes to an hour, your cod will not fall apart. It will still be flakey and succulent inside but nice and crispy on the out. But mainly it won’t fall apart when you pan fry it. And pan fried is still really the best way to cook it and keep it moist and flavorful. I use shallots and white wine to finish this dish. Lemon is optional after that. Any left overs of cod and potatoes can be mashed into cod patties the next day.
I'll ask you the same question I asked him, "why not cook the potatoes with the fish so it is all done closer to the same time and it will all be hot?"
I usually poach white fish, and they come out delicious. No browning, just meaty fish. This recipe looks very good, and would be a good break in my routine. I am going to give it a try. Thank you.
5:28 - Real life! OMG this looks absolutely delicious! I don't really cook but I'm going to follow this to a "T"! Including cleaning the kitchen😁 Also, I love that spatula, it looks like it was custom made solely just for those two filets! Bravo! 👏!!
The first one is the same as what I grew up with but always add the lemon after cooking, citrus gets bitter with heat. Problem is a 2lb box of Cod loins is $50 now so it's a once in a while treat.
Looks delicious, ideal for fish from the fish-shop. I prefer mine with it's own delicate flavour, cooked within hours of being caught. No salt/pepper/other contaminants, just lightly floured, gently fried. I discovered fresh fish when I started sea-fishing; it is infinitely better than store-bought, and a different experience.
Fist Bump - That's 'Mr Self Righteous dandy' to you. You have learned what you were told, and accept it as the way things ought to taste according to someone else. Your palate expects fish to taste of 'salt-n-pepper'. Be brave and think for yourself, try it un-seasoned; you may enjoy your fish even more. Some foods need seasoning because they are bland without; other foods like fresh-caught fish have delicate flavours that do not need anything additional.

I made a tuna steak like this yesterday. Tonight is haddock. Definitely need a side of veggies. Fresh broccoli or fried cabbage, a bit of color on the plate. Delish!
Oh yeah! I’m glad this popped up for me. I LOVE fish, my favorite was tilapia, but having Crohn’s Disease, my Dr said tilapia causes inflammation, so I had to stop eating it! I am going to try this recipe, this week! Thank you ✌️❤️✌️
I tried this today with most of the same ingredients. I substituted Cilantro for Italian parsley. It came out awesome! I prefer Cilantro over parsley for its aroma and taste.
I copied your cod fish recipe but added fine chopped shallots to the lemony/buttery/garlicky sauce. So good. Did two and the next day reheated one, equally as good. Thank you.

I buy 2 pieces each of haddock and cod and I freeze them. I keep a few cans of stewed tomatoes in the cupboard.
