Knowing about Don Rickles and understanding his ways make you love him unexpectedly. I respect the man and my admiration goes with him too. Thankful that we have you tube and can easily search for his shows and appearances. Thank you too for interviewing him. :)
Ikr, for 90, he looked great and was still sharp with his humor. I wish I knew about him more growing up in my teens. Where I'm from, the name Don Rickles wasn't heard much. I only got to know about him when I would watch the Letterman show and other late night shows and he never failed to get a good laugh out of me and it was at these times I became a fan. As we in Australia like to say about people who are entertaining as all f**ck, he is, was, and always will be a deadset legend. A shame we will never see the likes of someone like him ever again on this planet. The legend, that is Mr. Don Rickles. 👏
I was at NBC studios in Burbank in audience for CPO Sharkey. Rickles was warming up the audience just ripping into everybody while standing right next to me. My heart was racing waiting for my turn. He left me alone thank God. RIP Don Rickles.
Thank you so much for this Dinner with Don series! This really makes me miss my parents, who were about 10 years older than Don. I miss that generation of adults! I can tell Don liked the same kind of restaurants I do, low lit, booths, white table cloths, full bar, homey, good food. L.A. is loaded with them. I wish I had eaten dinner with Don.
What can you say that hasn't been? No one else can get away with what he does and be loved for it. Like the guy said, it's a privilege to be critiqued by Don and the heavier the better, great shows, great idea, keep them coming, thanks so much, j
Grew up in an era (1980s) and an area (Detroit) where we would jokingly hurle insults at each other and dubbed it Loving Disrespect. The only way you knew you screwed up, is when your friends or loved ones weren't messing around with you.
When rich Eisen gets to the end of his life as we all do, he will probably think about all the things he has done. He has done a lot on TV and in sports and with his family. But I am willing to bet one of the top 10 things he will think of is the time he had dinner with Don Rickles.
"Lasorda was ... --the man." Yeah, Tommy Lasagna burned out a lot of ptchers, shortening their careers, so he could establish his reputation. What a man.
At 7:22, Eisen pointed out the biggest problem I had with Rickles' act, that weak wishy-washy schmaltzy he wasn't serious and it's all love, blah, blah, blah. What was Eisen talking about, he actually found it to be an attribute? You should have stuck to your guns, Don, the way you chose to end your gigs really, really sucked.
Okay, this the second one of these that I'm lost as to who this person is. I'm guessing a west coast sports broadcasting personality, yes? L.A., N.Y... that's all there is to the USA, according to the media!
You don't know who Rich Eisen is? Maybe google "Sports" or "Broadcasting" from 1987-Present. What are are you an intramural rock-climber or a Kabob intern?
I'm so glad Don lived long enough to host this UA-cam series. It's a great way for us younger folks to get to know him.
2019 binge watching this series. Don was the man!! Bless his heart. Thanks for all the years of the best laughter and tears.
Watching these now! So fun
I was today years old and severely pissed at my algorithm guy!!
"I'm not ready for you yet". I'm dead. Made Rich feel like a grim reaper in the first 2 secs.
"Next thing you know, Frank walked in with three of his guys, all scientists." (Cue picture with Frank and three mob guys for his 'security' detail.)

"How did you become friends with Frank?"
"I threw myself in front of his car."
At 90, he had a sharper mind than anyone I know.

You can see it in his face...Rich loved this and it is amazing,,,

I would of take great pleasure in being ripped by the great Don Rickles, especially in Burbank, where I grew up.
I watched Rickles every time I saw that he was going to be on TV. But I very quickly gave up on CPO Sharkey. The scripted stuff just wasn't the same.
@@yowzephyr agreed. that's why my comment was referencing his audience warmup.
@@autumn1231 I'm sure that was the most entertaining part for the studio audience. Too bad they didn't film that part and include that in the TV show.
Out of all the *sit downs* with all of these "famous comic$ " --- Rich Eisen displayed a lot of CLASS in picking up the check in the end. RESPECT! 🙋
Sports, laughter, and a warm heart Don covered all the bases. RIP Don

Rickles was the best, for sure. And Eisen is such a classy man. Love them both.
Great guy really, one you can converse about anything.
Don: "And I hope we see each other again real soon"
Rich: "I hope so to"
Fuck that hurts.
Go AARP...This Is Genius, This should be on Regular T.V. we need more Genuine People with Compassion Laughter and Love..
I wish they released these in series and not all at once. I watched them all at once probably 12 times each now
I’m so glad this series was made
Truly legendary. RIP Sir.
3:13 isn’t Murray Franklin the name of De Niro’s character in The Joker?
Yes: it's an in-joke

Rich just moved up 20 notches in my cool dude notch list.
Big time agreement here.
Sharp until the end. RIP Mr Warmth.
One of a kind Don.

RIP Don... classiest insults ever !
You could tell Don enjoyed that.
If you down vote Don Rickles .... you seriously need to check out now serious you take everything and your level of common sense.
Don is great!
“We need you ppl for the muffins!!”

Am I have a seizure or are ALL the camera angles being filmed from an earthquake? Making me have motion sickness.
LOVED CPO Sharkey.

I wouldn't have any other person curse my team in the super bowl...
He sounds so much like Elliot Gould. If you were listening to this instead of watching it you’d think you were listening to Ross and Monica’s dad.
Murray's Franklin. Like the guy in joker

And you obviously have absolutely no idea what I was talking about and never saw his nightclub act. It's you that doesn't understand.
Rich who?
Now people say those types of things to hurt or get under someone skin. It’s sad.
Who is this Rich Eisenhower? Should I be saluting?
This generation is screwed. The pc culture has killed entertainment
great great.. but could you maybe shoot the film as if you didnt have cerebral palsy, you're giving me a headache
Does Madea's husband own that restaurant?
Who needs to look at Snoop Dog?
Rich wears bald so well. He's like a bald guy from the future.
Life long sports fan. Never heard of this chump.
Nice...Rickles-style...
Rickles would have said simply, "bum!"

Rich Eisen is well known in America amongst sports fans.
These are great but they are way too tilted to the guest and not Don. No one wants to know how a TV sports guy got started.
WhereMyChicken it’s called a conversation.
This was a mercy interview. It IS a conversation. A one-way conversation.
Usually it's all about Don, but Don is genuinely interested in sports.
Maybe Don wants to know about the guest?
@@GodsSon987 Oh, please.
The editing of this show becomes more terrible the more I watch, but Rickles is a legend.
Fire that guy or gal
Don could never start his career now. There are too many snowflake people. They would get all sensitive and hurt.
