In this week's repair and restoration video, I restore an old, crusty book stand that I found in a neighbor's trash pile. Overall it wasn't too bad but there were some minor repairs needed before adding a beautiful finish of oil and wax.

Congratulation! Mais um móvel restaurado com sucesso! Amo assistir o antes e depois! Um abraço!😊
*Another Beautiful pc* ...
I enjoy how you lay all of the pcs out on the moving blanket. It's just a little touch that sets u apart from other channels I watch.
@@my_flippin_journey It helps me not lose anything. There are a lot of pieces sometimes...
Wow! The video has it all: An insect attacked lady, wonderful dogs, very good repairs, an amazing book stand and, again, a great restoration. I love this job, man! 👌👌👌
And don't forget the Boston hat😊
Thank you very much my friend. This was a little easier than usual and was super relaxing to do. Unfortunately my assistant has to go back to university so I will have to work a bit harder on the next one. 🙂
@sdupre61 Boston??? I am sorry to disappoint you but it is actually a Detroit hat. Go Tigers! 😉
Thank you so so much for taking such loving and intricate care of thos beautiful book stand.
As a self confessed bookaholic to see something neglected turn into such a beautiful stand that I would be immensely proud to own is a privilege 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for the thoughtful comment. I found this on the side of the road and could not believe that someone threw it out. It was not in bad condition at the start. 🤔
Congratulations on a beautiful renovation! Those legs were quite a challenge to sand down and you did not give up!
Thanks! It took SO much time to get the legs right.
Impeccable restoration! I love that you did everything by hand... without fancy tools! Thanks so much for sharing
Thank you very much for the great feedback. I'm happy that you enjoyed watching it.
Lovely job 🤩
Thanks 🙂 it's nice to just do a simple refinish sometimes.
Gosh! Beautifully executed as per your usual standard! It is wonderful to see such attention to detail with every little crack and chip. Then of course your superb choice of stain. What a beautiful piece! I adore watching your restorations.
Thank you very much! Did I stain this? I think it is natural with only an oil and wax finish. Thanks for watching my projects and supporting the channel! 🌷
Прекрасная работа ! Смотрела с удовольствием!
Большое спасибо!
Waouh! You work without any electric tools. You really touch thé Wood!
Yes sometimes it is more relaxing to work without electric tools. Thanks!
Very nice job indeed 👍 you did well to patch it back up. I can just imagine how long it took to scrape it all back. The finish result is just brilliant
Thanks!! It took a minute for sure to get it all cleaned up. 🍻
Beautiful... only found your page 2 days ago so will being spending a few hours watching your restoration ❤
Awesome, thank you!! Please tell me what you think of the projects and welcome to the channel!! 🖖🏾🙂
The Telephone EXchange Name system went away, starting in 1962. Christine's Curiosity Shop & Doll Museum is still in business, since 1959, in Tucson, AZ, although it is no longer on N. Stone.
Thanks for the info. It's crazy how pieces get around. I am in the Southeast US, nowhere near Tucson. I picked this out of a neighbor's trash so it would've ended up in a landfill if I hadn't happened to randomly drive by it.
Excellent work friend, have a nice day !!!. 😀😀🙏👍👍.
Thank you very much 🙏🏽🙂
Many hours of work, but it was worth it. Excellent job. Thank you for sharing it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the great feedback.
I love watching you do the wood repairs. It's so satisfying ❤. The piece is amazing 👍🏼
Thank you so much 😀🌻
Good job. The table better then new Pls. Send a hug to your "Bosses". Regards Stig Österberg from Dalsbruk in Finland.
Hello Stig! Thank you for watching all the way from Finland. I've only seen your country in photos but I think it is beautiful and my wife and I hope to see it one day.
Amazing attention to detail!! Great work! Your true artist is showing 😊
Thank you so much 😀

Stunning piece - just loving watching your videos
Thanks so much 😊
I love lecterns. This is a beauty.
Thanks! I am not sure what to do with it but I found it on the side of the road so I couldn't pass it up.
@@Restorology you did the right thing. It deserved to be saved.
Alphanumeric dialing was phased out in the 1960’s. It was known at the time as the 2L-5N numbering plan in the U.S. Growing up, my home phone started with TWinbrook 1, or 891.
Thanks for sharing!!
I LOVE LOVE THIS RESTORATION …
The video is great! The dogs are the cutest thing ever!
I am glad that you add them in your videos!
I am looking forward to more videos !!
Thank you very much! The dogs are great to have around while I am working. I am sure you will see more of them in a future video. See you then!!
Stunning. Simply stunning!

:40 Cute dog, funny play. Hello from Delaware USA
Thanks!
We'll I'm impressed. It turned out beautiful
Thank you. I am super happy with how well it turned out.
beautiful!! love the fur babies!!
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful! A lot of hard work, but you turned it back into a wonderful piece. Love the wood, is it walnut, I wonder?
Thanks! I am not very good with identifying wood species but yes, I believe it is walnut.
Great job on this. It's amazing how much the linseed oil made that color pop! The insect attack happens nearly every time I ask my wife for help, too. Bees, flies, mosquitos, spiders, you name it.
Thanks! I am becoming a big fan of a simple oil and wax finish now. My volunteer did not last long after the insect "attack". I got a wasp sting a few days ago working on my car. We cannot escape nature!
Is Good to watch you again my friend nice job 👌
Thanks for the continued support!! 🍻
@@Restorology always here waiting for your videos my friend greetings over there ✌😁
Super find. That was worth the effort.
Thanks! I am glad you like it.
I found an old dictionary stand at an estate sale and just couldn't walk away. I'm not the woodworker that you are, though. I was thinking about painting it but it seems a shame since there isn't damage or anything. You've made me think again.
There is nothing wrong with a fine paint design. If you like that look, then try it. You can always go back to wood later. 👌 Good luck!!
Beautiful restoration! You show a lot of tricks that I wouldn't think of on my own. Also, thanks for posting your tool links - I just got one of those scrapers like what you have. It's just right for smoothing some cut edges of polycarbonate.
Thank you so much! I am happy to know that you picked up a few ideas from this. Also, thanks for getting the scraper from my link. It helps the channel a little!! Cheers ✌🏽
just awesome. thank you love the dogs too
Thank you so much!

Большое спасибо! До встречи на следующем. Ваше здоровье!
Muitas coisinhas para reparar, ficou muito bonita e fortalecida. Gostei.
Obrigado! Este foi um projeto simples, mas adorei o resultado no final. 🌻
🔥🔥🔥👍🏼
Thanks!! ✌🏽
Loved the way it turned out. Curious about the choice of linseed oil finish. Why not a shellac or poly finish?
Thanks! I thought about a poly finish but after applying some oil to hydrate the wood, I just liked the way it looked and felt. The wax finish adds a nice top surface and with enough applications and polishing, I can get a beautiful satin finish. Thanks for asking!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎉🎉🎉
🙏🤗🤩
🤗
🙏🏽🙂
I'm sorry! Were did you buy that wonderful black working table? Thank you! It's amazing!
Thanks! I got the black work bench at a yard sale for $10. Total steal. I use it almost daily now. I looked them up and they are kind of pricey now.
😳🤢🤩
🤙🏾🍻
Hey what's that fancy rubbermaid work bench clamp thingy called? Would love to have one, didn't find it in your list there.
I found that at an estate sale for $10!! This particular model is discontinued but I will add a link for something similar to the video description right now. I should have done that before!! Thanks for the feedback!
@@Restorology I looked online near me, wow those prices! I saw similar ones I'm looking at in retail stores but I'll be looking closer at thrift and garage sales tryst me. Thanks.
@@Garyhitch56 I looked online at these today and you are right, they are expensive as hell. I'm lucky that I found this one so cheap. It was covered in dirt and weeds but a bit of a power wash brought it back to life. Most of what I use is estate sale finds. Good luck finding something!!
Why would you attack that poor dog with a vacuum? You are very lucky that dog didn't kill the vacuum.
You should see her when I run the vacuum on the floor. She completely loses her sh*t trying to eat it. I don't get it but she loves it.
Just waiting for AC/DC to play Hells Bells
Sometimes the rhythm and tone is almost exactly like the opening of that song. It's hard not to expect a guitar to jump in.
