I wouldve knocked you for saying a top down camaro or older version mustang cause it looks funky rolling down the street but 2018 and up mustang convertibles are too good looking

I had a 2017 GT convertible with performance pack. Loved it, but lost my mind momentarily and traded it off when I grew frustrated with the manual in Orlando traffic. Totally want a new one now with the 10sp. Auto. The video is a nice reminder that it is a great car for the money. Not without a few flaws and cost cuts (no tonneau for top), but really a good value for what you get.

I just bought an '18 GT 'Vert 10-speed auto with Performance Pack after watching some of your videos and finding one at a good price! I was going to move to something more practical like a STi or Type R, but I couldn't resist the Coyote, especially now that it has port injection and I feel more confident in it's reliability.
Another great video! Please keep the Mustang content coming! I'm also keen to see the rest of the Ford range, so if you can review the likes of the Edge and the Escape, that'd be great! And.....great camera work, Tom!
Oh just wait there is not only more Mustangs coming but also other 2019 Ford vehicles!

Great review. As far as I'm aware the dash on all 18 trim levels are aluminum with a plastic backing. The only trim level that came with a plastic dash were the V6 Mustangs from 15 to 17. I have a base model 16 GT and, while it doesn't look real, the dash trim is aluminum with a semi transparent wrap over it.

Burgundy Velvet is amazing on the Mustang. I didn't know it was available on the Mustang until this afternoon. Now I am on the hunt for one! Always thought it looked classy on the Lincolns.
The problem with the stangs that Ford chooses to ignore is wheel hop. That is why there many accidents with stangs. Newbs get into a high horsepower stang and loose control. The only way to eliminate the wheel hop is upgrade to a aftermarket urethane rear links. OEM are junk. but ... most people dont know that much about cars on a gearhead level.

Great video as always! I never wanted a convertible but find myself looking at them in the mustang. Never had a convertible. Always reminded me of a chrysler grandma car. Also, since you say you can really hear the engine with the convertible, I wonder how loud the cabin is....since I don't want that interrupting a phone call (via bluetooth) and at times I just want it quiet. you know what I mean. Is it much louder than non-convert? I found a great deal on a 2018 but it's convert. Not sure.
You really need to get behind the wheel of one of these and experience it for yourself.

Albert Young I personally am not a huge convertible kind of guy and I LOVE the Shelby GT350. So I would go GT350 with low miles 😉👍🏻🏆

Hi Joe, if I may ask: why did you decide to buy a Focus RS and not a Mustang GT? I don't know how much the RS costs in the US, but here they're close in price.
They are very close in price. I guess I wanted all wheel drive and I really like the idea of a mundane car like a Focus that is pumped with some performance goodness. They are both fun cars but in totally different ways!
I would have gone the exact opposite route, which is more or less what i did, although on a smaller scale. I had an Opel Corsa Opc (which is much like a Fiesta ST, if you don't know about it), but I wanted a more unique and sporty car, so I got the 86.
To each his own, right? :)

I've noticed the headrest of most if not all Mustangs sits slightly to the left of the driver's head, including this one. My 2018 GT sits like that too. Say if I'm right (of the headrest) literally.
That is really interesting I never knew that until now I wonder why?
I suspect it's a space constraint issue so that the seat isn't pressing against the center console.
There's a 2019 at Ferman Ford. It was my custom order I cancelled (bought a GT350). You should go review that one!

Joe why do some mustangs have the strut over the motor and others don’t.
Also why do some have the gauges on the Centre of the dash and others don’t......jim 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
It all comes down to the performance pack. If it has the performance pack it comes with things like the strut tower brace, and the auxiliary gauges, plus some other performance goodies!

The back seats are vinyl, even on my Premium Plus 401A convertible. I thought that the dash trim was real aluminum.
It didn't feel aluminum to the touch. I will double check tomorrow because I am doing more filming at Walker Ford.

the 2019 has the B&O PLAY Premium Audio System, and it also has the Mustang California Special which you have showcased a few weeks ago.
I would love a drop top as well but the weather here can be pretty hot one moment and then a sudden downpour the next min
if i need to stop the car or slow down to 20MPH just to get the top up, i will prob be soaked pretty fast.
the older Mazda MX-5s roof is not powered and it takes prob a few secs to pull up the top and lock it down. just need to unbuckle the seat belt stad up and grab the roof and pull it over.
the only downside is the car isn't tall people friendly.
Hey Lin! Walker Ford only has one 19 Mustang GT on the lot an it is a coupe. The 6spd manual models will get auto-rev match down shifting for the first time on a Mustang. Of course the release of the Bullitt for 2019 which they will be getting one of those very soon. The convertible Mustang was a blast to drive!

The disadvantage of the tonneau top on the Camaro is that it takes to much trunk space compared to the Mustang.

The 2020 front end is even better as it loses those black bars towards the edges of the main grille. It’s a gorgeous car, and great fun. Don’t bother with the V8 as you’re not gonna be racing a convertible anyway. Get the Ecoboost Premium package, and you’ll be cruising in style for far less $$$. 3:55: don’t bother with the droptop cover. A waste of time. As for the Camaro, it has virtually no trunk space when the top is down. The Mustang, otoh, can swallow two full-size suitcases plus other stuff in its trunk. Mustang wins. 5:19: it’s a convertible!! Loud exhaust with a convertible? Between that and the road noise, how are ya gonna hear your music from that great audio system, or converse with the hot chick in the passenger seat?

1. Agree with your "zonk" as to the look, or lack thereof with the top down. When did you last see some exposed structure/hardware of a convertible with the top down?
2. Another "zonk" is that antenna. Fixed, non-retractable? No, no, no.
3. Agree with you on the paddles. That's a 1/2 "zonk."
4. The interior faux stainless pieces =s 1/2 "zonk." How about a carbon fiber instead?
5. Paddle shifters, another 1/2 "zonk." Definitely should be bigger.
6. Now for questions:
a. Can this Mustang be purchased with a manual trans?
b. Are there horsepower options?
c. Can you operate the top from outside the car with the fob?
d. What is the weight of the car?
e. What is the sticker price?
That's it for now Joe, but it's still early and I haven't had my first liter of high octane yet. I may be back. lol

There is a human element that I really would like to try to keep with the channel. It’s too funny this car looks like a stripped-down model compared to my California special digital dash magnaride active exhaust two-tone leather interior and a whole bunch of other good stuff really nice wheels compared to the usual “black” wheels that they stick out everything these days
