My comment is directed to e-bike and motorcycle owners... Originally I purchase and returned the D1000 from REI. The size just to small and impractical, especially if you want to anchor your bike to a sturdy object. In my opinion there is no debate, get the DX1000. It's bigger and heavier, but most likely the best lock available to protect your bike in the US.
Thank you for this video! I was on the fence of D 1000 versus DX 1000… and even though the weight looks beastly for my electric mountain bike… I assume in the long run it’s better of a choice to carry the DX 1000, especially if it’s the only lock I end up using.
D1000 is a nice lock and compact, but it's not a versatile type of lock and will limit to what and where you can secure your cherished mode of transportation.
D1000 is just way too small, like if you want to secure the frame and wheel at the same time, that will be impossible with D1000, but possible with DX1000. I personally feel at peace knowing my equipment is secured outside when I’m at the gym.

I don't even see how a motorcycle can be secured with the D1000. I think the DX1000 is the smartest buy, because the D1000 is just too small.
Would have been nice if you actually demonstrated it with your e-sccooter.
blah blah blah... how about showing how you attach the lock to your bike?
I don’t use a bike, I use an electric scooter. Unlock the lock and secure bike/scooter, that’s all to it.

Oh hey..how do you store this thing with you? Do you take it in a back pack? or does this fit in those little pouches you attach to the stem?
For now just using a backpack, haven’t figured out the ease of storage yet.
Great choice on the Nami..did you get the front turn lights as well?
Thanx, no front turning lights, the newer model comes with them, but they are always on, I didn’t want that.
Better move....NYC😮
Yup
I'm thinking of getting the hiplok dx1000 for my ebike. Would this be good for an ebike?
