This is when he broke his left ankle and finished the performance. They had to cut his boot off after the concert. I hope he was really stoned to help minimize the pain. He also went to and performance the following night and was great. Of course they did drugs! They just were not that in to them. They are two very talented singer song writers.

I brought a whole bunch of friends saying how great this upcoming group is going to be and to my dismay they sucked!! They only had Daryl and John and maybe one other guy and you've been in my father's place like you just stated and they just didn't cut the mustard. My friends were ready to kill me. Years later. They land up being a phenomenal artistic musical band filled with genius and all that other good stuff you put together to make it an outstanding band. Daryl Hall has is incredible. He can play like three different instruments? I love him ❤ I felt so bad that we walked out on them at my father's place. Then life stepped in and I got busy raising my children and Daryl's house came into play on AHS TV show I think was the station. Now they have it on UA-cam. I love ,,,,,,,, Wait for me when Patrick sings it. So let me take back every bad comment.. Wow! Like they just mesmerize me now. That said, this was always one of my favorite groups during the 70's and 80's. They were definitely in their prime in terms of video's and pop music compilation back then :) The 1980's had a unique look about it and if I were suddenly thrust back to 1985 (which I would LOVE), I'd know what decade I was in by the clothes and hair alone.

I remember seeing the Stones on SNL back in the 80s and Mick absolutely sucked. Doesn't mean that Mick or Daryl aren't two of the best vocalists ever. More likely, it was the 'road' and the drugs that wore down their normally outstanding vocal abilities during that stretch.
