I can't believe you actually scratch your car to show us how to fix it. You deserve a medal.
I think the nailpaint was more expensive then the car
Lmao
All I could think was, kick that fuckin kid’s ass!!!
How to repair scratches on your Car. Ultimate Hack Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else is searching for how to spray paint a car at home yourself try Alkarno Spray Paint Alchemist (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got amazing results with it.
burningfeet 57 😂
"we just wanna try to fill the void that was left" I felt that
Nope... I have a custom paint from the Chevy dealer... So I don't think I can find a nail polish the same Exact color Lol.

This wasn't his car next door neighbour 🤣🤣🤣🤭
I've never clicked 'like' on so many videos from a channel. This is a craft all men should really respect and appreciate. Youve given me the courage to repair my panels and wheels myself. Lovely genuine and helpful guy too. Thank you
First video with REAL tip for average person without using 20 different sandpapers, ect! I live in an apartment and me a few others had a few times got key scratches. Awesome tip! 👍😁
I’ve done this for years. Had a black car years ago and used a black nail polish to touch up scratches. Works a treat
You think this would work on a blue pearl car?
@@josem1596 Yes, but add oyster (pearled) color to the mix, it's that which gives the pearl effect.
I have a black car with deep scratches will this work ?
I've watched your clear coat repair videos and now this. You are a genius! Thanks for sharing. You earned my subscription to your page
Excellent video.
I tried repairing scratches on my old car using fine grit sandpaper, touch up paint, HOLT spray cans, 2k clear coats, putty, Meguiar ultimate compound, wax and scratch remover and the result was horrendous.
Nail polish is the way to go.
I agree with others who have said not to use nailpolish remover. They tend to damage the clear coat and then even after spraying 2k or 4k clear coat, you never get the shine back.
Was exactly my shopping list! What went wrong?
Now to head out to the shop and get nail polish without looking suspicious

Brilliant mate, I'm going to sort out all my scratches now, thanks to you! All the best.
Thank you! I was getting anxiety from watching other videos with a million steps 😅
Great Job!!! Thanks for sharing. I have a deep scratch on my 7 series BMW and it worked like a charm. Thanks!!!!
I used this method but with the correctly matched paint not nail varnish and a glazing filler worked a treat great video
Mate you’re a genius
Thank you! Did you know that keeping nail polish in the fridge makes it easier to work with? Also, I use an eyeliner makeup brush for car detailing as it's so fine (you can find cheap ones in Poundland or Primark).
This is the best hack I have come across in a long time. Thanks you.
This just saved me about $700, thanks!
Saved me over $2000.
@@N54MyBeloved save me over $50000
I tried this today. It works pretty well on small scratches and dings. Color is hit or miss on trying to match, there's so many crazy girly colors out there. But for two bucks can't complain :)
Yes true 👍
liked it after watching the first minute, just for the nail color. Exactly the tutorial I was looking for.
Scratching his own car just to show how to perfectly remove the scratch. Confidence level: 5000
Actually that was the neighbour car
some guys actually scratched my car yesterday, probably because they had a hard time getting out with a trailer. (were jet skiing) fun part is that i had already bought clear coat 3m sandpaper 2000 and a 475 metallic sapphire black to do a repair on the bumper. so with this vid for sure i can get it done. thnx mate
Omg you actually scratched your car to show us 😮
A big thanks ❤
Actually that was the neighbour car
Yu da man. Just saved me hours trying to repair the damage across two panels some sad sack done to my car; not to mention money I’d have to give to some garage. Thanks
These are the kind of DIY ideas that we need..other channels show professional n costly techniques which are difficult to follow..but your ideas are the ones which we can do at home without spending so much cash..thanks boss
Your new suscriber from Chile, wow I can't believe you scratched your car to teach us how to repair it. I have 2 scratches in my new red car and going to find the perfect nail polish, I may do my nails after too cause i haven't done it in a long long time lol
I bought a small bottle of the exact paint and clear coat from my bmw dealership for something like 15euros, wasn't too bad to fix few minor scuffs and scratches
Now I just need a tutorial on ''What to do with people, that intentionally scratched my car'' cause im kinda strugglin there..
Well break 2 of his ribs and jaw, on top of that got a hammer broke all of his windows made a huge hole in his hood broke almost everything I could, his car is literally beyond repairable. I taught him a good lesson, he scratched my whole car just because of some girl also he bent my back door. When I found out he did I was so furious I couldn't stop myself
@@lazaroov1622 no u didn’t 😂
Thats why I'm here lol some fucker scratched my car for no reason found out after I got back from work.
I just got a gentian blue TAycan turbo - amazing color - electric car cause I am trying to get off the fossil fuels. Day 2 and someone keys my car cause obviously it's a rich guys bougie-mobile. Here's the funny part - I fought from a poor single mom , domestic abuse situation - joint the USAF to pay for school and jumped a socioeconomic class cause all I did was work hard. This was my 60 th Bday gift to myself . After I let the anger pass (why let someone's poor decision ruin my mood) , I tried to imagine why the person who keyed my car was so angry ? They wanted to teach me a lesson ? they wanted aggravate me ...ok . Looking deeply into their mindset - I felt sorry for them. Because on my poorest , most desperate day I NEVER felt that way towards anyone .
@@onnion63 I admire your state of mind. I was so angry when I found out I didnt care about anything else than revenge.
Every other video said that all you can do is wet sanding. They all claim that there is no way to fix a scratch deeper than clear coat at home, and you proved that wrong. Infact, it seems that the only difficult part is mixing the perfect color. I'm glad you advised to still polish everything when done
I didnt have the nail polish at hand so i used a colour wax and built up the scratch with many layers of wax, only temporary but can hardly notice the scratch anymore.thanks for video i will follow your instrucions
Damm your hardcore man. You scratch your car and make your own paint with nail polish I would’ve never guessed. I salute you sir.
nice, tooth picks are better for putting the paint on tho. gives a smoother finish
I'm going to try this
Nice one good idea my car was scratch coat to respray £700.00 pounds Thks yr tip worked beautiful well done lve it
Illness interrupted the plan, but my bonnet, wheels refurb, rear corner dunt needed repair so I got keyed scratches and etc done.

Bought the Lex LS pre damaged but one owner and full Lexus servicing, so worth it.

I won't forget your lessons though.

Got our new used car and it came with a deep scratch. Will try this approach. Thank you!
Him: “I’m gonna show you a trick I’ve used for years”
Me: “How many people have you pissed off”
😂😂
People just key fancy cars for no reason.
For example, every 5th post on a tesla subreddit is about their car getting keyed.
I am here because my tesla was keyed
My Nissan got keyed when BLM riots were happening in 2020. I wasn’t anywhere near the riots but I was definitely targeted for being blonde and white.
My guess would be that he works on cars for a living
Legend. This is a real video!!!
Recorded the end first, very clever 👊🏻
was thinking the same thing . looked like crap when he was clear coating it, then it looked smooth. what a "third!" sorry, meant to say turd. lol.
I've ordered a Dr Colorchip (which appears to use the same sort of methodology as this) to try and fix some scratches I 'rediscovered' after removing the vinyl wrap on my car, but if that doesn't work I will try this or just spray the panel. I get more damage to my cars paint in the work parking lot than anywhere else. Have scratches all along the front fender where I think someone has sidled alongside it and hit the paint with a bag zipper or jean rivet.... I followed your other guides to blend repair my bumpers and got a pretty good result, learnt a lot and will have a much better result next time.
Use clear coat cos clear nail varnish melts the paint around it, I tried to fix flaking paint around a debadge and smudged off the clear coat
The hardest part of this repair is buying a nail polish without looking weird.
Nothing is weird these days 🤣
That's one upside to this whole gender neutral thing nowadays: A guy can buy nail polish without looking weird!
@@Eener1000 yeah, maybe in America
you know what I like about your videos you go straight to the point no fuck around..nice work
Most auto supply stores sell touch up pens to match the paint code of your car exactly, no need to buy nail polish.
SabretoothSnail where would I go to get One?
@@kobe12348able advance auto i know has some, O'Reillys does too I think
Reason for using nail polish is it is thick and can easily fill a deep scratch. No way regular car paint would fill a deep scratch like this with just 2~3 coats.
Thy suck
@@SupeDefy I figured there was a reason for why he was using nail polish instead of matching car paint. But he never explained why in the video.
The only pain in the ass I can see doing it this way is trying to get the damn colors to match. Would this process work for super deep scratches that go all the way down to the car's bear metal?
I took a clear one for my silver car... turns out there was glitter in it.... funny as hell to look in the bright sun :)
🤣🤣🤣
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA
😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Honestly why did I not find your videos earlier.... fantastic content keep up the amazing work 👍
Thanks for the info! I just received 2 deep scratches on my car just like that one from my gate closing on the car. I have the brush, nail polish and varnish. I will try it tomorrow. I will take before and after pictures!
Hi! Did this work?
Always providing a practical solution and freely sharing the knowledge, well done.
Just buy the correct color.
@@MrApaHotel remember to engage brain before pressing accelerator pedal. Why reply to my comment?
fantastic little trick. I'm going to give this a go. Thanks bud.
Thanks for saving my life from my parent's. Thank you very very much.. your instructions removed the scratch in the side of the door. because recently i bumped into some bike drivers then it scratched the side of the door.. but im unlucky cause there's still a scratch in the rims but i think they'll never notice it... i HOPE🙏
Any scratches on the bike drivers?
Hi, I was just wondering why you couldn't get some of the actual 'matched paint' and paint that on with a fine brush?
i will give you a medal for scratching your car. you are a great hero bro
If you added a clear nail gel it will keep it from drying quickly. Then use a little uv lamp after you apply. Better to do multiple thin layers.
Awesome, thanks a million. You just saved me enough to treat the kids
Will nail polish color withstand the battering elements, blistering hot sun, rain and grime in the long run? Point to ponder before using these materials.
Brilliant tip,I’m off to my Nieces tomorrow she’s a nail technician lol
Fair play your the man .. that looks unreal all the years iv been painting haven't seen nothing like that
My wife scratched my black 300 this morning, thank you for saving me a couple hundred !!!
Thank you so much mate. Some b***ard keyed my car last week. I'm going to give this a go.
Let me know how that goes. I have same issue. but they keyed it from the tank to the front door.
@@neagualexandru7118 ~ I will. My whole drivers side front door. The only drawback I can see here is getting the color the same red. I'm sooo mad!
@@rubytuesday5412 Some one keyed my car today as well... intrested to know how this pans out
@@Scrinnyness somebody keyed my car the other day. I used black nail polish, my car,is a deep dark blue. It worked pretty good. I used a toothpick to apply the polish!👍

Same. Did this work for you?
@@volimNestea it works, not as good as new but it makes it almost unnoticable. Be calm when doing it (do it with love)
@@Marco-uo9ww Thanks!
I used to think nail paint would do the trick and it proves me right!
I touched up my car scratch before it did look great. But after few months the nail polish must have a reaction to the car paint that it spreads a cracks veins from the nail polished painted scratch. It looks like a spider web ,you can see cracks that spreads into a bigger area of car panel.
Thank you ..got a black truck w/ scratches , and this is great.
Great video and (original) MacGyver hack! Superb delivery as well, awesome accent, clear and consice, nice cadence and rythm. Thanks for sharing 👍
My definition of a hero
Thank you for this! My car is older and I have quite a few of these deep scratches.
Class dismiss ... nice job ! the best video by far
Wow, that was unexpected. Thanks for the tip, I'm definitely trying it out!
Nail Polish works extremely well repairing chips in poly finished guitars too 🎸
This man has some dedication .
Nail polish works actually
I did this on my vitz 09 and its long lasting it has same glitters i think i learnt is to use tip brush n clear coat i will now apply compound polish that will total fix the spots ..
Ah but be jasus, that is feckin brilliant, thanks a mill dude, really really good fair play to you.
Is there a reason I wouldn't be able to use factory touch up paint to fill the void? I suppose the nail remover is key to light blending and it wouldn't work on the touch up paint?
Talented fellow. Thanks for teaching this rookie!
Thanks most simple effective scratch repair video I've seen.
Most excellent, informative, useful, video. Thank You.
I gasped so hard at the beginning of the video- did not expect to see him Deliberately scratch his own car for this.... But thank u for this helpful bit.!
My girlfriend left a bottle of nail paint in my car , now i know what to say to my wife...thank you.

What is proXL thing at the end? Is it a aerosol spray? I could not see what colour of that spray you were using. It looked white in the video but your car is dark blue. it confused me...
Keep up the good work friend. Please post more videos. For example step by step how to colour code wing mirrors and bumpers
Great video, I’ve just scratched my beloved fiesta and will definitely try this.
Such a better way to do this is, slap the paint over the entire length of the scratch quickly in 10 seconds, then run a razor blade over it at an angle just like a plasterer does with a trowl on a wall. This way it sinks the paint evenly into the scratch and removes the excess without you doing any rubbing after.
Razor blade at an angle ? I’d be worried if it causes more damage
@@jamiejeffries5017I'm a year late to this but he means feathering it. You hold the blade at an angle with the blade edge facing away from the direction you are pulling it. Just like how you use a putty knife or drywall compound trowel for home repair projects, or a spatula for spreading frosting on a cake. You never point the edge in the direction you are pulling.👍
Good video wish you showed us sanding it down the next day tho.
You had some MAD Skills!!!
