23:01 Only to fans of 'Wicked' as she'd originated the role of 'Elphaba' and to fans of 'Rent' as she originated the role of 'Maureen' and reprised the role for the 2005 movie.
Lolol of course I knew that, I meant she wasn’t *as much of a household name (as she is now) Of course since being Elsa she’s become a name that you can say to anyone and they know who she is and that they would expect her to sing in a role 😂
I really enjoyed the ending where the aftermath of Benji and Rizzo’s opinions of the movie were mentioned! But overall, I’m glad I watched these reactions; it scratches the itch of watching a 2 hour movie!
I agree with Benji, cause I’m like I wish like the first one it dealt with fairy tales stuff in the real world. Instead we got like another Disney Princess Cinderella story, where I was like hoping for Giselle to deal with things like being a mom to a teenager and she tries things like fairy tale stuff, but ultimately realizes she just needs to be there for the kid.
what Benji said is the reason why most movies are unsatisfying, there is no real conflict solving , like they leave you with the feeling you got just pure entertainment but with no substance
There's a lot of references, in the animation and in the live action, including the princesses. But one I don't think people notice is one in the music at 23:19. That's the melody to the theme in Beauty and the beast.
i was confused too about the actress playing morgan because i could clearly see it wasn't the same actress but i looked up the cast and the original actress was still there so i assumed she was credited for like memory versions of her at first, but no, turns out she cameo'd in the movie, believe it's the scene where we first see the evil queen in the town square, she's one of the townspeople. i assume the actress was too old for what they wanted to do with morgan.
I didn’t understand why they recast her either but it looks like she retired from acting, and since she made a cameo, it looks like they asked her to do it but didn’t want to commit to the full role (but this is all speculation). Either way I’m just glad she got to be a part of it!
This movie is so so extremely amazing! I love it so much. But the first movie it’s still my favorite out of the two still love this one too. Definitely a 8 or 9 out of 10. I loved the scene where Morgan is in andenasha (don’t think I spelt it right.) I kinda always wondered what she’d look like in animation so I thought that was cool. I started to cry during Morgan at Giselle’s memories tree & I was crying the rest of the movie after that. I literally said out loud oh no they’re going to make me cry and they did. Disney did such an amazing job with it. Love the videos! You both do an amazing job!

It would've been cooler if she wished New York City was Andalasia, but her and her family didn't change. I loved Enchanted because of the "fish out of water" aspect. If she wished that New York was Andalasia, her family would be the fishes out of water. Her husband waking up to go to work, only to be told his job is to defeat a dargon?? Their lives would've been flipped up side down, and they would've had a hard time adjusting. Morgan thinking she's supposed to go to school, and someone asks her to try on this shoe and it FITS? Now, Tyson is determined to marry her. Giselle realizing that although she loves Andalasia, she's used to the big city and STILL feels out of place, AND her family still isn't happy!!! Hello! That's her villain arc. That would've been fun.
On a completely random note, HOLY CRAP! Thank you for reintroducing me to that song at 30:50 😭 I was HIT with the nostalgia the second that came on. Seriously haven't heard it in well over a decade. And I just looked it up and apparently it was a meme song on tiktok but no it's actually a legitimately great song 😭
I had a full-on heart attack when you played the clip from the first movie that the actress for Angie from Bones was in(very specific, I know) But it made me gasp for air while I was trying to eat
but the fact that IDINA SINGS IN IT. But Idina did say that she was happy to not sing in the first one. I’m glad Idina is finally on top and given the respect she deserves.
THE ADDENDUM AT THE END 😂 Benji, please tell me you watched Ediz and Ben's video bc I'm now obsessed with their videos bc of their reaction to this movie
kind of a mess, but I still found it kind of charming. The thing I would change would be taking out any song before Giselle's "I wish" song. Having her try to sing and it surprisingly not work out would have been a great subversion to the first movie where it was a surprise that it DID work out. It would have been a great storytelling tool to show how Giselle was feeling alienated from both Andalasia and the real world.
I'm on Rizzo's side! I loved this movie! The evil cat IS VERY CUTE!!! GIMME A PLUSHIE, DISNEY! Badder is my new favorite "repeat button on" song! And I cried so much on the "you're a true andalasian because you're my daughter", THE FEELS 😭 Thanks for reacting!!!
As a stepchild myself this movie really hit for me - the idea of growing pains and the awkwardness of people who love each other but aren't meshing as usual. Never for a moment did I doubt how much Morgan truly adored Giselle while also understanding how forcing - or trying to - Morgan to be happy ASAP was not what either needed. There definitely could be some improvements in execution - perhaps a small conversational moment after everything is fixed where they apologize to each other before the dream catch-all is revealed - but overall I also have no real complaints.
I love how they never seen the movie but they knew EXACTLY what was happening and whats going to happen hahaa....also this movie i loved but it was 90% song 😂😅😅. A perfect disney musical 😂❤❤
I wanted to love this movie... I adored the first one... and the music is so sing song like ... noone can't sing it... but ugh... it could have been better. On another note. We need more of you two singing. Lol it's the best.
loved the video! im definitely with benji on this because to me what made the first movie so smart was that it turned every disney movie stereotype on its head whereas this one completely played into them and doing the exact opposite of what made the first movie so special. I'm sure it'll grow on me but that's my thoughts for now. looking forward to yalls next video!
I waited to watch your guys' reaction until I finally watched the movie myself. Definitely worth the wait! I did really enjoy this movie, it's not perfect but no movie is. Obviously there are a ton of Easter Eggs but I perked up hearing 'sugar dates, figs, and pistachios! sugar dates, figs, and pistachios here!' after Morgan's song when she is in the market. Very subtle and just background noise but I think it shows how much thought and time went into this movie. Really well done and I will definitely watch it again.
10:35 yeah I kinda hoped that Edward and Nancy were expecting and that Nancy was - unlike Edward who is blissfully unaware about the mechanics od Andalasia - was fearing that this might indeed be her or their death penalty and that their kid might end up with at least one dead parent well maybe this is the plot of Thricenchanted EDIT: saying that I think I could see them being cursed like Sleeping Beauty's parents and then Giselle, adult Morgan, and teen Sofia have to play their part as "fairy" godmothers to help their kid on a hero's journey while they have to deal with their still not fully solved relationship issues
12:36 love that movie; used a lot of these characters once for the background of a p&p roleplaying game character and our dm used a that for a really neat story arc for our party; good times
17:27 although Cinderella's stepmom just favors her biological daughters and wants one of them to marry the prince instead and Snow White's stepmom wants to kill her (except for the adaption Snow White: A Tale of Terror, in which the stepmom also wants to wed and/or bed the prince, afair... and I think she succeeds in the latter; great perfomance by Sigourney Weaver if you ask me); in Mother Holle, the stepmom is equally abusive as in Cinderella and sends her bio-daughter down the well so she can come back as golden as her step-daughter; in Seven Ravens the stepmom turns the princes into ravens... have to look up the non-Grimm-fairytales... so usually they have better things to do than "block love"
the ending of this movie is kinda meh if you ask me; I guess that at some point in the production they wanted to reveal that Giselle wasn't born in Andalasia after all hence the foundling backstory (guess we have to resolve that in that Thricenchanted, too); but then they wanted to have Morgan deal with the fear of loosing Giselle; and also they wanted to create tension by having Malvina get the want but at the same time cop out by having her not being able to use the wand; otherwise it would have been a perfect explanation why Giselle's wishes turn out so bad: because a non-Andalasian can use it but their wises turn evil; also if you notice, the movie resolves the tension in the relationship of Morgan and Giselle without ever digging for the origin of the tension; but the scene introducing the wand still seems to work with that origin; Morgan is not Andalasian is a stand-in for Morgan not being the biological daughter of Giselle whereas Sofia is; so Morgan is afraid of being replaced with her parents new daughter; I think that if these plot points were NOT discused it just makes this production even worse also... the stuff I said in another comment about the failure of Andalasia fashion
I genuinely thought SO MUCH was going to be different about this film when I watched it. Within the setup, they were SO heavy-handed with emphasizing that only a "true Andalasian son or daughter" could use the wand to make a wish, AND made a point of showing that Giselle was orphaned in the woods as a baby. So when Giselle used the wand, my mind immediately thought "OH okay so the fairytale life shee's wishing for is going to go HORRIBLY wrong because PLOT TWIST she is NOT a true Andalasian and was in fact a normal human child left in Andalasia." And then I thought that Morgan was going to go up against Giselle an a confrontation with the help of all their friends because Giselle's fully become the evil queen, and it was going to be resolved because Giselle finally has a revelation like in the first film where everything doesn't need to be perfect. They were gonna reach some sort of understanding because found family is just as real as blood family and that true love was going to break the curse/spell.
I see "true Andalasian son or daughter" as someone who has formed a genuine connection to someone from Andalasia. Sofia doesn't have blo relations to the king and queen yet is seen as a true Andalasian daughter because they LOVE her. So it makes sense Morgan was able to use the wand in the end.
I definitely assumed it would be Benji who loved it because it's sweet and cute, and that Rizzo would have the skeptical take. This was so much more entertaining! I agree that the plot gets away from itself a bit and they should've focused more on actually solving the conflict between Giselle and Morgan. However, I still think it's a super cute film.
I agree!! The first one was amazing but Idina Menzel (Broadway legend ) didn't sing in it so that was a bummer. This time she got to sing at least!! But the sequel as a whole? Well it wasn't bad so there's that. Maybe over time it will grow on me.
- I like the exploration of stepparent relationships with kids, even though its in a fairytale concept - The songs are great, especially the villainesses - I think that this is like, Idina Menzel the sequel tbh. Like I that her time to shine was a bit too extended 😆 Benji,-- don't think they had to discuss the move back to NYC, are you nuts? That cost $$$ , that's the most unrealistic 😆 Personally, I thought it was decent but I don't think that I would watch it as much as I have watched the original. It's probably because the original director from the first movie wasn't involved in this one at all. I think if he was it probably wouldn't have felt so dragged out.
Hi One of My Favorite movies Is Enchanted and I am so excited to see your reaction to the sequel! • I like the storyline/idea of Giselle making a magical wish that backfires and turns her into an evil stepmother.I think it was a decent and fun sequel. •I do think the storyline had potential but I don’t really completely like the execution of it. There are so many missed storyline opportunities in this movie. •Honestly I think what mad me enjoy the movie much more was because of the main cast, they gave it their all in this movie! Amy Adams acting evil is everything! •Also I am happy Idina Menzel is finally able to sing in Disenchanted. But I wish there were more Nancy and Edward scenes..

23:01 Only to fans of 'Wicked' as she'd originated the role of 'Elphaba' and to fans of 'Rent' as she originated the role of 'Maureen' and reprised the role for the 2005 movie.
Right when I heard not a household name my theatre kid side came out
Lolol of course I knew that, I meant she wasn’t *as much of a household name (as she is now)
Of course since being Elsa she’s become a name that you can say to anyone and they know who she is and that they would expect her to sing in a role 😂
I really enjoyed the ending where the aftermath of Benji and Rizzo’s opinions of the movie were mentioned! But overall, I’m glad I watched these reactions; it scratches the itch of watching a 2 hour movie!
You two have the best energy together. ❤
🥰🥰
15:45 I screamed with joy. I am OBSESSED with once upon a time!
I loved it when I was watching years ago, I’ve been meaning to rewatch 😊-B
@@PinkPopcast yes! I haven't watched it for a little while😊
P.s love your videos!💞
That’s awesome!
@@PinkPopcast I noticed theres more music motifs that references the classics*
Which Patreon tier do I get to see Rizzo cry? The TEAR tier…
😂😂😂
i was confused too about the actress playing morgan because i could clearly see it wasn't the same actress but i looked up the cast and the original actress was still there so i assumed she was credited for like memory versions of her at first, but no, turns out she cameo'd in the movie, believe it's the scene where we first see the evil queen in the town square, she's one of the townspeople. i assume the actress was too old for what they wanted to do with morgan.
I don’t know why I was dead sure it was the same actress! (Thought I read it somewhere)
We were so confused lol definitely spent most of the movie thinking it was her 😂
I didn’t understand why they recast her either but it looks like she retired from acting, and since she made a cameo, it looks like they asked her to do it but didn’t want to commit to the full role (but this is all speculation). Either way I’m just glad she got to be a part of it!
@@kaitlynrain899 yeah i also assumed she stopped acting
God, Idina really doesnt age, and neither does that VOICE! That woman can BELT like no other, what an icon ❤
🥰🥰🥰
just wanted to say thank you for uploading today. i just got off a terrible shift where i underselled every product and wasn't able to pay for parking so i had to run back to work to borrow money, and then i got lost trying to get out of the parking lot, and then my friends texted me asking if i could get things for our picnic tomorrow, so i drove to the store but it was closed and i got home and no one had made dinner and the dishes were all still dirty, and so i made food for my friends picnic which some of them aren't going to eat because they r fussy and will make passive aggressive comments about it, and i have to get up at 6am and leave at 7am to drive for 2hrs+ for the picnic, and then drive 2hrs+ home and drop off my friends, and then i had to do the dishes and make myself food and then i sat down to watch youtube but my laptop was having tech issues and so after 20mins of restarting and stuff it finally got working only for another 20mins of starting up loading stuff, and now i've found your video which has made my day so thank you.
rizzo's just like me lol. i cry at almost every movie these days, out of the small moments of sweetness in movies, the gut wrenching parts, or even just cry laughing! love watching you guys
I love how you IMMEDIATELY found an evil way to use the evil plate at the end xD
Haha right!? It totally hit me when I started hearing it again on TikTok-B
I had a full-on heart attack when you played the clip from the first movie that the actress for Angie from Bones was in(very specific, I know)
But it made me gasp for air while I was trying to eat
but the fact that IDINA SINGS IN IT. But Idina did say that she was happy to not sing in the first one. I’m glad Idina is finally on top and given the respect she deserves.
Also the actress who plays Morgan is not the same Morgan in Enchanted but they look so similar!
It's not like I have a Patreon but I feel like shouting about my tears "THESE ARENT FREE!" during my copious tearing ups
THE ADDENDUM AT THE END 😂 Benji, please tell me you watched Ediz and Ben's video bc I'm now obsessed with their videos bc of their reaction to this movie
I haven’t lol I’ll have to watch it
I'm with Rizzo, I thought it was a good follow up to the first one, and I also cried during the memory tree scene😂
Yay you watched😇
kind of a mess, but I still found it kind of charming.
And I cried so much on the "you're a true andalasian because you're my daughter", THE FEELS 😭
Thanks for reacting!!!
There definitely could be some improvements in execution - perhaps a small conversational moment after everything is fixed where they apologize to each other before the dream catch-all is revealed - but overall I also have no real complaints.
i never know what to comment but since the comments help I'll just tell y'all that i love you over and over again, hope that's cool 😄
Totally fine lol ❤️❤️❤️
I got goosebumps too
27:32 I was thinking the exact same thing at this part Rizzo lol stop singing and make the goddamn wish already!
😂😂
I'm so surprised Rizzo didn't say called it on the toad thing
Rizo was a bit like Bengi singing when they saw High school musical, I like it.🤣
I love how they never seen the movie but they knew EXACTLY what was happening and whats going to happen hahaa....also this movie i loved but it was 90% song 😂😅😅. A perfect disney musical 😂❤❤
i love benjis sparkly headphones so much
🥰🥰
Lovely to watch it with you again, your jokes and edits and dynamic is truly entertaining 😊❤
I completely forgot that we had to sing the badder song in choir, and I got flashbacks when it came on 😖😭
I wanted to love this movie... I adored the first one... and the music is so sing song like ... noone can't sing it... but ugh... it could have been better.
On another note. We need more of you two singing. Lol it's the best.
Amazing as always
How did I know that Rizzo was gonna like it and Benji wouldn't? LOL
Hahah you know us well
loved the video! im definitely with benji on this because to me what made the first movie so smart was that it turned every disney movie stereotype on its head whereas this one completely played into them and doing the exact opposite of what made the first movie so special.
10:35 yeah I kinda hoped that Edward and Nancy were expecting and that Nancy was - unlike Edward who is blissfully unaware about the mechanics od Andalasia - was fearing that this might indeed be her or their death penalty and that their kid might end up with at least one dead parent
well maybe this is the plot of Thricenchanted
EDIT: saying that I think I could see them being cursed like Sleeping Beauty's parents and then Giselle, adult Morgan, and teen Sofia have to play their part as "fairy" godmothers to help their kid on a hero's journey while they have to deal with their still not fully solved relationship issues
12:36 love that movie; used a lot of these characters once for the background of a p&p roleplaying game character and our dm used a that for a really neat story arc for our party; good times
13:17 I think that is supposed to be the pink Arielle dress next to Snow White
17:27 although Cinderella's stepmom just favors her biological daughters and wants one of them to marry the prince instead and Snow White's stepmom wants to kill her (except for the adaption Snow White: A Tale of Terror, in which the stepmom also wants to wed and/or bed the prince, afair... and I think she succeeds in the latter; great perfomance by Sigourney Weaver if you ask me); in Mother Holle, the stepmom is equally abusive as in Cinderella and sends her bio-daughter down the well so she can come back as golden as her step-daughter; in Seven Ravens the stepmom turns the princes into ravens... have to look up the non-Grimm-fairytales... so usually they have better things to do than "block love"
the ending of this movie is kinda meh if you ask me;
I guess that at some point in the production they wanted to reveal that Giselle wasn't born in Andalasia after all hence the foundling backstory (guess we have to resolve that in that Thricenchanted, too); but then they wanted to have Morgan deal with the fear of loosing Giselle; and also they wanted to create tension by having Malvina get the want but at the same time cop out by having her not being able to use the wand; otherwise it would have been a perfect explanation why Giselle's wishes turn out so bad: because a non-Andalasian can use it but their wises turn evil;
also if you notice, the movie resolves the tension in the relationship of Morgan and Giselle without ever digging for the origin of the tension; but the scene introducing the wand still seems to work with that origin; Morgan is not Andalasian is a stand-in for Morgan not being the biological daughter of Giselle whereas Sofia is; so Morgan is afraid of being replaced with her parents new daughter;
I think that if these plot points were NOT discused it just makes this production even worse
also... the stuff I said in another comment about the failure of Andalasia fashion
I just want to say I love you both so much
🥰🥰
Cannot wait to watch this! 😊
Killing me with the intro Benji lol
I genuinely thought SO MUCH was going to be different about this film when I watched it.
Within the setup, they were SO heavy-handed with emphasizing that only a "true Andalasian son or daughter" could use the wand to make a wish, AND made a point of showing that Giselle was orphaned in the woods as a baby. So when Giselle used the wand, my mind immediately thought "OH okay so the fairytale life shee's wishing for is going to go HORRIBLY wrong because PLOT TWIST she is NOT a true Andalasian and was in fact a normal human child left in Andalasia."
And then I thought that Morgan was going to go up against Giselle an a confrontation with the help of all their friends because Giselle's fully become the evil queen, and it was going to be resolved because Giselle finally has a revelation like in the first film where everything doesn't need to be perfect.
When I saw this, I thought I was watching something else. Then, I remembered this brings me back to WandaVision again.
4am here, just finished a statistic test for uni and idk what to do now, so i'm here watching the premiere
👏👏👏🥰
I feel like the first one was a romcom and this one is a full on Disney musical 🤔 different vibes so I get why this movie can be polarizing lol
This movie for me was entertaining enough I guess, but mainly it just made me want to rewatch Enchanted again instead
Yea haha
My only complaint was the serious lack of Edward
15:49 Is it just me, or is that James Monroe Iglehart?
Why am I just now realizing Michaela Conli from bones was in enchanted
I think I understand both feelings 😅
Can't wait to see this video
Okay I'm gonna post my thoughts in a thread
- I like the exploration of stepparent relationships with kids, even though its in a fairytale concept
- The songs are great, especially the villainesses
- I think that this is like, Idina Menzel the sequel tbh. Like I that her time to shine was a bit too extended 😆
Benji,-- don't think they had to discuss the move back to NYC, are you nuts? That cost $$$ , that's the most unrealistic 😆
Personally, I thought it was decent but I don't think that I would watch it as much as I have watched the original. It's probably because the original director from the first movie wasn't involved in this one at all. I think if he was it probably wouldn't have felt so dragged out.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh exciting!
Again, villain songs just getting that big win
Well now I need to watch this movie!
2 years later, I need to know, did jms ever txt Rizzo back?
Omg yes! The storyline might have missed a bit but the performances were ON POINT! 🙌🙌
@@PinkPopcast oh my goodness you responded to my comment! Thank you.I hope you two are doing well.😊
This film is set in Ireland.
ONCE UPON A TIME MENTIONED OMG
Still a bit disappointed they cut the duet between Morgan and Tyler, 'Something Different This Year': ua-cam.com/video/ljMYVd_i16E/v-deo.html
And also sad we didn't get a Patrick Dempsey solo with 'Hard Time for Heroes': ua-cam.com/video/tjTLB5oF6DE/v-deo.html
Omg more music 🥰
peep Rizzo's shirt its such a slay and I love it
Yess!! It was a bday present, we were hoping someone would notice 😁😁
hi guys, loved the video, for patreon if I wanted to watch your Young royals reaction would that be on the £5 one or is it only on the £9 one?
Thank you! Exclusive stuff like young royals will be on the $10(im guessing the £9) tier 😊
@@PinkPopcast Ok, Thank you!!!!!
*you can get these tears on patreon* 😈😈
😂😂😂😂
Also, I cried during Love Power XD
did i watch this movie for idina menzel? yes,
You know what, maybe she’s (Giselle) going through postpartum, after “watching” this with y’all and watching it once when I wasn’t a mom, it’s kinda making sense
It kinda explains the wanting of ‘change of scenery’ and wanting things to be back to ‘normal’.
Idk I could be reaching 😭
THIS MOVIE WAS GOOD AND THE SOUNDTRACK WAS CUTE BUT WHEN WILL YOU REACT TO HAMILTON!!?
Lmfaoooo the freeze frame was hilarious cause sameee
I kind of really hated this movie 😅 I almost turned it off 1/4 way through but stuck with it for some reason. But your reactions are always great 👍
I loved this movie; I thought it was a great sequel to a fantasy movie, even if it was in the real world. I did have a few minor complains, but nothing that takes away from the movie as a whole. And I was a huge fan of the first film
I understand your argument benji but the first movie didn’t get solved that way…so why would the sequel be any different.
I just felt like the first movie made more sense the way issues were solved by her being so positive and full of love, while this one was just a magical wish 🤷♂️
Love power makes me cry cause it hits personally 🤧 😭 😢 ❤️🩹
I loved this movie but for totally different reasons than the first one. The sequel feels like they didn't rewatch the first one lol
Love Enchanted. Disenchanted was good too but there was too much going on.
8 out of 10 Disenchanted
10 out of 10 Enchanted
I want the dragonfruit, the cat and the dish that gives me free food.
Okay maybe not the dragonfruit.
James Marsden looks the SAME
Right! 😍😍
I legit just watched this 🙂 it was pretty good not one of the best sequels but not terrible
