This stuff is gold. So glad it is not 30min. I have been doing this for a while now. When I first heard 30 min. I started to reevaluate my whole life.
Also feels like core muscles are engaged
@@billyhiggins1908 Yes. I recommend the hollow body technique. Look it up.
same 😂😂
I believe u just started doing recently without seeing any video and can see a huge improvement in my posture
Some amazing tips in this, absolutely brilliant, thank you !
I've had a L5 back pain for 20 years and doing this passive hanging is the one thing that seems to actually be helping me. When I first did it, it hurt so badly I could only do 10 seconds or so, but now I'm up to a full minute. I do as often as I can during the day. Amazing. It's just like spinal decompression therapy but cheaper and easier.
Great, but this is active hang in the video. Passive hang is relaxed body.
Wow man. Thank you for the video. This just changed my whole level of thinking of using a pull-up bar. It's pretty damn intense
Dope. Thanks! Workin from home in front of a computer the passed 12 years, with no exercise fucked me up.
I found this Dr searching around for rotator cuff pinching or whatever. I’m a woman of 62. I bought over door hanger and those hook wrist bands. Within a week hanging 2 min a day, I had relief. I’ve been doing it since. A friend has a tear, she refused sx, I told her about it. She did same and she is much much better. It’s wonderful
Very underrated video about corrective exercises for posture
awesome! I will go do this now and make it a habit. Thanks in advance for helping my life basically
Happy to help!
GREAT exercises.. I can feel a different connexions in my body after doing it... Thank!!!
This deserves way more views
God, this man communicates this stuff great
I applied this exercise 2 days ago. A little difficult, so I just do 1min30 everyday (2days lol) but I already feel the effects and my posture is already much better !! I use to curve my back, so I had pain from time to time. Thank you so much ! You saved me a lot of back pain when I grow old !
how is your posture nowadays?
Good question
Would love to get a 4 year update, that would be awesome.
@mikou1111 any update? :)
This guy is funny - thanks for the video
I like to hang, but will now incorporate the tips, especially the last one every time I do. Can’t help but think of the scene in Anchorman where Brick is looking at Veronica like, you’re not Ron 🤣. But I like this guy 👍
Great video. Does using a supinated grip provide the same benefits or have a different effect compared to an overhand grip for hanging exercises?
Hahahahaha "30 seconds... Erm... What would that be. Erm.... 30 seconds a bunch of times." 6 times. It would be 6. Brilliant
Dan O'Beirne haha
lol
😂
thank you very much
Love the impressions of modern society 😂😘💋
Haha they were good
Thank you so much 🇨🇮👍
Math isn't his strong point
it isnt ours either hehe
He made the math at the end
In the last few seconds he mentioned the math again
Yes, but he makes up for it in looks...He is Gorgeous!!!🥰
1:05 You said external rotation, but it looks like you are flexing internally. Which way should I be trying to bend the bar?
Do your legs need to be strait and off the ground? Example, if I was “hanging” from a dip bar and my legs were not strait.
Does this help against kyfoses?
Very well described with a pinch of humour. +1 subscriber. Thats the math ;)
You are not alone, my "math" is spotty as well. Haha
really great video...undervalued like hanging on the bar though xd
At 3:59 he says 30 minutes a day, then at the end he says 3 minutes (6 * 30 seconds), so I think he means the latter, unless your Superman... ;-)
Bit of a shame they did not have the camera so we could see him from the side..... But thanks for the video will try this on my next gym session
I can engage my core and hold but not getting the glute engagement
But can u do it on a door if it’s not tall enough
I didn't get from this video but my wife seems to enjoy it. I can't imagine why .
I just started hanging today. Can barely do 30 seconds in a passive 😫
Isn't the passive hang (dead hang stretch) where the studied benefits come from?
Yes, most people teach simple dead hang. The flexing turns the dead hang into something else, still beneficial, just something else.
Yeah, I decided to rock jeans. I'm not seeing a lot of other jeans.
Me- "What are you up to today?" You - "Oh, I'm just hanging out at home."
Abdomen stays booof
Can someone lend this guy a fucking pair of shorts?!?!?
capris are in these days he said
I like this guy
DaBrute seems like a good dude for sure
you say external but rotate internal
Posture is the first impression you make on people, before making a first impression ! This is abs-olutely the low cost, low tech solution ever. That people will never try.
Great video, but the motion of the scapula is depression, not retraction
Nice abs brother 😁!!!
6 mate.
No wait... He got there in the end! 🎉
You have more tension on the right side in the video. Don't know if it's your right or your left
When you say to "keep your abs engaged" aren't you talking about your hip flexors engaging in order to straighten your back? It just seemed conflicting with what sal usually says
KITKATHERO he means to use your abdominals (upper abdominals specifically) to draw your ribcage down and keep it engaged throughout, so your body is forced to create range through the upper back rather than just letting the low back extend. Hang from a bar and see, you'll notice that as soon as you pull that ribcage down, your upper back, teres, shoulders and pecs all start to feel a big stretch.
He looks like Justin Hartley
I’ve got this bullshit and yet can’t seem to throw the iPhone in the trash
Good thing his training partner had pencil and paper handy.
Fingers probably
man... hearing I need to do this for 30 whole minutes a day is pretty discouraging... that is a million years to just be hanging like that
He said three minutes a day, its just hard to hear at first.
dawg what
30 seconds times 6. LOL
Fucking ace 😂
That “vertical scapular retraction” I believe would be called depression if you’re hanging from a bar. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Christian Hughey i would say depression. That’s what he was doing while talking about retraction
gregkelland yes! Lol
Yes it’s beneficial. 30 mins a day wtf!!!
"30 seconds a bunch of times..." LOL That would be uh, six. Wtf?
I got a lot of that bullshit happening
Ah 30 seconds…60 times a day
3 minutes a day, people!
not 30 minutes
Nice Capri pants.
Oh - 3minutes isn't so bad. I "heard" 30 minutes at beginning of video😆
30 minutes a day sounds like a lot... opportunity cost wise. just throwing thoughts.
3 minutes he said
Fkn guy just complicated it
It’s hard to take advice from someone who can’t figure out how many times 30 seconds goes into 3 minutes.
meh - be a man - do it on rings lol
30 minutes a day?? Naaaahhh
TheGymromeShow 0:41 thhreee minutes per day total.
Big fan of the channel and podcast but hope this guy doesn't make a reappearance... informative but hard to listen to.
Bilchenko Bilmakov really? Seems like a cool dude
you are crazy he is great
He really grows on you actually
OMG COPY CAT - ATHLEN X DID THIS EARLIER THIS MONTH !!!! Come on guys find your own stuff
We do a TON of content. At some point we its likely we will cover similar topics. Lol
Jesus, how much steroids is this guy on? Ain't nobody can hang like that for 30 seconds unless they are on gear.
mobgma 😂😂😂😂😂
doesn't look like he's juicing at all
You work up to it by increasing your grip strength. Start with 10 secs..then 15 and so on.
Are you kidding me? That's not true at all... you're just out of shape.
Are you weird or extremely weak? I started a training program two weeks ago, am at around 22% bf, 6ft 3 and 212lbs or 96kg and increased my hang time in two weeks from around 30 secs to nearly 1m the first time i hang, and if i leave it 15 mins or so i can hang this long no problem, ill check back in 3 months from now and let you know what my hang times are (Y)
30 minutes?! You‘re insane!!
U used the wrong grip. If u grip it on ur palm instead of the bottom of ur fingers u can get worse calluses and they can tear (painful asf)
