Please STOP . Just when our hopes is high on this pill until Faucci pops up, he just took away our hopes
The patent needs to be cancelled. The U.S. taxpayer paid 1.2 billion dollars to develop this drug and now they want exclusive rights to it to raise the price though the roof.
I heard that it's already been approved, and looks like it will be manufactured around the world as a generic drug. It would only be fair and right, given the circumstance. Hope I didn't hear it incorrectly.
Cuz that's how big pharma works. They get paid to research the drug by the government (probably) and if it works they patent it flip the public the bird and all the politicians who invested in the company stock get paid!!!! Don't u know that's how it works nowadays? Get a freaking clue already.
@@randoir1863 The pharma might get financial support from US government, but definitively not from Chinese government.
It works by disrupting the DNA of the virus like a massive mutating event hopefully the mutated viruses are just rubbish and no new variants come of it .
How pharma works: they got paid to study & develop new viruses, then develop drugs for it, then release virus for testing, finally get big money from these drugs.

Does the way an experimental medication is administered have some significance to you? It would seem logical for someone who is hesitant to take an experimental shot in the arm to also be hesitant to swallow an experimental pill. (Double Moderna vax'd btw.)

I am a an immunodeficiency disease patient and my husband and I just came down with Covid this week. I have have had we had our vaccines. And I’ve had two boosters, had a flu shot two weeks ago and I have to have IVIG infusions every month. I have CVID, asthma, lung issuess, sleep apnea and severe allergies. Hospitalization and death from Covid was absolutely real for my situation when I get bronchitis and pneumonia easily and have nearly died many, many times long before Covid was here. Now we finally come down with Covid, my immunologist sent me directly to the ER to and they didn’t have the anti-body therapy so they put me on this 800 mg of molnupiravir. I am on day 5 now and this medication has been INCREDIBLE! When I get sick I go from 0-60 within 24-36 hours and I can have pneumonia. I am doing really well, my symptoms have stayed mild and no pneumonia and no need for hospitalized. It was really important as I was just very sick for 2.5 months and had only had a month break since getting Covid. So I am very impressed how well this drug is managing the disease and saving my life especially since I was in a coma back in July.
The dollars in vaccine running out so now come with pills. How come all these answer so readily available in such short time? While we still yet find solutions to cancer? 🙄
Seems more and more people are getting cancer. Friends wife just died. My uncle had it last year. My aunt has it now, her husband died of it a couple years ago. If the anit-vaxxers spent the same energy on cancer....
Can you do a video on fluvoximine too? You should looked at the actual trial of the drug and see who they exclude from the trial and why? I think Derrick should examine the topic. Compare fluvoximine and this anti viral drug- both effectiveness and side effects
Look up wormwood
It depends. Does it make a lot of money for the pharmaceutical companies?
so if we are binding to ACE2 sites wouldnt lisinopril be effective
Of course new expensive drugs are pushed by pharmaceutical companies even if old ones work.

I need to leave a comment here, I had COVID a year ago and it it took weeks to feel better, I couldn't get rid of my fever, it was horrible. My hair fell out for months. This time, my symptoms started this Tuesday; I couldn't swallow, I was tired, I knew it was COVID because of the fatigue, and by Wednesday I had a fever and could barely talk. I just started a new job from home and my trainer suggested I get a prescription for a new antiviral that would be free at the pharmacy, so I went to the ER, tested positive and I mentioned that medication to the Dr. He left the room and came back with a bottle of Molnupiravir and said "there you go, take 4, twice a day for 5 days" (he also gave me an rx for Tylenol with codeine). Well, it's Saturday, three days later, I've only taken one Tylenol, my fever broke in about a day or two and today I almost have my voice back to normal, no fever, cough is almost gone and I have ENERGY! As a side note, I'm not vaccinated. This really helped.
Yep next would be chewy gummy tablets for kids. In assorted friendly characters with various colours
The only difference between this med and all of the other meds that work just as well (if not better), is that this one has high profit potential.
@You Tube And Ivermectin is somewhere around 12 dollars. Not approved because, can't make any money with it.
@@paparoysworkshop It’s not approved because it has no legitimate proven efficacy for Covid, along with the increased risk of side effects. This mystery drug has been proven to clearly be effective against Covid (in vitro at least).

Good to know. Can it be bought at over the counter ??
Prescription based for now. Though once prescribed by a physician you can take it without needing to be hospitalized or have more expansive and complex treatment like monoclonal antibodies that have to be prescribed via IV in a hospital or such.

Cut and paste:
Molnupiravir was originally developed to treat influenza at Emory University by the university's drug innovation company, Drug Innovation Ventures at Emory (DRIVE), but was reportedly abandoned for mutagenicity concerns.[6][7] It was then acquired by Miami-based company Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, which later partnered with Merck & Co. to develop the drug further.[8] Molnupiravir was approved for medical use in the United Kingdom in November 2021.

I have 5 years of documented blood work. I recently requested new labs to make sure Covid didn't do more harm to me than what meets the eye. By his description of what this pill does, stopping virus replication, it sounds like it should be mandated instead of the vaccines. Curious, because the vaccines actually tell our bodies to create & replicate the spike protein part of the virus. With that, will this pill only work for those who have been vaccinated?
it work with almost any RNA virus, what are you talking about needing vaccine first or mandate? surely you can't always take this pills because it will disrupt the way your cells work.

Secondly I had a quadruple bypass 7 years ago and would like to know why vaccines did not protect me, otherwise I would not have bothered, #3- I was in so much muscle pain my body still aches and feels like I got beat with a baseball bat, from my hair follicles to my toenails! Also the meds I took were huge 8 pills a day how can you swallow when it feels like someone took a drill with a hot wire brush and stuck it down your throat? No, it's a completely different mechanism. This one interferes in the virus' RNA and dicreases its capacity to replicate. the others were supposed to change the pH of the virus, making it hard to go into the cell. So it's not the same. Also, this one seems to work (even though I think the study was too small to be that optimistic) and the others are proven not to work.

One person can't be proof, that's not how statistics works. What you should do, is observe few thousand people like you and see how many people die. That's what medical studies are, the one that show that vaccinated people are over 90% less likely to have severe illness compared to people like you who depend on the lack of immunity.
