A wonderful doo-wop quartet. The lead singer is brilliant, the falsete guy and the baritone guy are both terrific and the bass singer is sensational. Marvelous voices, terrific harmony and a great song. Rockapella forever!
I love seeing stuff like this. Like they're having fun, joking with it, and letting the audience in on it. It makes it such an amazing performance. And, I think it shows you can have serious skills, but have comedy with it.
If you haven't seen Spike Lee's Do It Acapella, I definitely recommend it! So many groups that paved the way for modern ones like Pentatonix and Home Free. Not to mention other artists that sing acapella.
Incidentally, this isn't quite the original lineup, since Barry Carl wasn't a founding member. He joined in 1988, while Rockapella was formed in 1986. I doubt there's much if any footage of Rockapella before Barry joined, though.
These were the guys, the REAL Rockapella. Scott Leonard came into the group, great voice, but he slowly demolished the group. Today somehow he kept the name, hired all new singers and they are nothing, NOTHING like the original. In fact, they are really pretty awful, almost canned music to listen to in the elevator...maybe.
Why am I all of the sudden obsessed with finding all of their old videos lol love those guys

Yeah I think this is probably the least entertaining thing I can think of having to sit through in person.
before Pentatonix, there was Rockapella.
[should I tell him....]
@@gorkskoal9315 what
They can sing on pitch for sure it's just cringey as fuck
That documentary is what got them hired for 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?'

The crowd is dead... talk about zombies! Love the lads previewing their Spike Lee choreography. 😸
If I went to a stand up comedy show and an acapella band did a performance, I don't think I'd be all that happy.
carmen sandiego....?
Wow, very unusual to see the original lineup.
None of these guys are with Rockapella anymore, which somehow remains Rockapella.
Kate Halleron except Scott Leonard and Jeff thatcher
Which guy is Scott!?
Scott Leonard didn't join until 1991, and Jeff Thacher joined even later.

I only just realized that Sean Altman was doing the Judge Doom character from Who Framed Roger Rabbit!
No, that was Christopher Lloyd.

Perfect pitch times 4...great job guys 🙂👍
They look like there having so much fun ☺️
unfortunatley the crowd isn't..
First time I saw these guys was on a pilot for a SNL type show called On The Edge. The pilot was fun, but the show never caught on.
I never heard of it until I watched a animation called home too far too
Me too
This is so..80s
Anyone else wanna hear Home Free do this? Lol
I wonder if the part where Steve touches or taps Sean's shoulder is just part of the choreography or some kind of cue...
I think it’s part of it. He’s done that in other versions
What is the hold u
What are those things that the singer got in his eyes at 1:51? Are they contact lenses?
Where's the little fifth guy
8 hairstyles styles with 4 guys .

I don’t know, Rockapella was great with Scott till Barry left, imo.
