This is definitely one of THE most epic openings to a movie ever.. the artwork is magic it wouldn’t have been the same if they weren’t able to create these Hellish scenes and landscapes, just magical, will always be my favorite dreamworks hands down,
In the Bible Moses's sister goes to the princess and says "Oh you found a baby? You'll need someone to nurse him. I know a wet nurse, I'll go get her." and then goes and gets her mom. So Moses's own mother was able to nurse him.
Yup. And it gives a better explanation as to why Moses recognizes his mother’s lullaby. In this movie, he somehow remembers hearing them from when he was a baby.

One of my favourite animated movies, the animation is just so beautiful and as are all of the songs, THIS one makes me cry everytime I watch it, its so beautiful and haunting at the same time

Tuya has the most beautiful design of a character, her voice is gorgeous as well as all of the character designs. One of my favourite Dreamwork's animation movie💖 the reprise theme gives me so much comfort
i remember the first time i watched this movie, i was only four years old and even when i was that small i knew the solders had killed a baby in its bed, i remember i was just screaming and crying and i ran upstairs to my mom in pure hysterics
I watched it in the same age but I didn't react like that because I already knew the story before... I intend to do the same thing with my children, so that they will know their history from birth.
The creator of the film originally worked for Walt Disney studios. He left Disney and started to work for Dreamworks after he pitched “The Prince of Egypt” in a meeting where his idea was rejected. Glad that he never gave up and found another studio that took his story idea. Walt Disney studios is, and has been for a long time, a monopoly that only cares about making a big buck. They have no respect for Christians whatsoever. Praise be to God!
1:59 i love how the intro of the movie shows egyptian soldiers just slicing up craddles. when later in the movie it's pointed out that they took the babies and threw them in the nile
So Ramses II (Ramses the Great) has a tomb in the valley of kings. Which means he was buried in his tomb. He died of old age, at the age of 92. The Bible says he drowned at sea, which can’t be true. Why, well because he was buried in his tomb.
I honestly have no clue why they didn't keep doing biblical/historical tales with this studio. Other than the original 10 Commandments film these are probably the best film adaptations if the story

The pharaoh was afraid of too many Israelites so he ordered that all newborn baby boys be killed however that only sealed the fate of Egypt.

I’ve read the Bible and it wouldn’t surprise me that they killed the babies then threw them into the Nile.
Well, it's just how the painting represents it. They'd probably do whatever is easiest at the moment. The Nile won't be next corner everywhere.
It’s possible the soldiers did both things! They killed some babies in their cradles and other babies were taken alive and thrown into the Nile
