I really wonder what would have happened if ven was woken up first. maybe by "careless" darkness meant ven would get himself killed, and thus ruin the prophecy- or maybe dark inferno isn't "darkness" but someone who is just calling themselves darkness who genuinely didn't want ventus to go out there and be reckless - sora even calls back to this line and stops ventus from coming with him against xehanort- which maybe saved us a whole different conflict considering the whole keyblade wielders of old xemnas was going on about. Really makes you wonder, was that line out of concern for ventus, or a line of manipulation to keep things going smoothly? After all, it's ven's heart that first connects sora to his friends, but ven was essentially skipped in the process.
i'm fond of the ephemera is dark inferno theory, but the more we learn in khux about darkness, the more i start to question the events of remind.

We know Xehanort is a pawn of Mom. This "pawn" can see The Darkness. So Mom indirectly put Ventus, Darkness's pawn, in front of another Darkness pawn (Xehanort) to create Vanitas.
I personally believe Sora is Mom's X the "traitor" Guia speaks of. Sora betrays the prophecy at the end of the Book. Sora is Mom's proxy. Ventus assists Mom's proxy by being Fated to join Sora's essence. They are joined even after separating again. (Heart Connection)
If we go with the theory that Mom is an avatar of Light, he may have put himself in Ventus and by extension, in Sora. The Eye is everywhere, if Darkness and Light follow similar paths

Fun fact about that scene in Re Mind where Sora dives into Ven's heart: it 100% is Darkness from KHUX, and is confirmed by the Japanese text. To keep it short: Darkness (the character) uses a simplified form of the kanji for darkness (one that isn't Unicode so sadly I can't type it in here), and that simplified kanji is only ever used to refer to the character/entity as opposed to the concept of darkness, which uses the standard kanji 闇 (yami)
The text that answers Sora in Re Mind? Also uses the simplified character when referring to itself.
Vanitas is also technically not separated from Ven in that scene. The one they fight in the Keyblade War is a time-traveler from the past.

    • @NextGenNovelist
      @NextGenNovelist  3 роки тому +4

Wow. So that's pretty much confirmation then. I was just going off it calling itself Darkness but it seems there's a lot more proof than what I stated. I think I'll do a separate video on this and if you want I'll shoutout your comment (even if you don't I'll give a vague shoutout to you anyway lol). Also, I mention in the video about Vanitas in KH3 being from the past, but I messed up at the end by saying he's not part of Ventus anymore cos I genuinely thought he wasn't. Silly me forgetting that he literally rejoined with Ventus 😅

I believe Vanitas is the result of Ven's regret for forming whatever thought Darkness misinterpreted to kill Streletzia and combining with the low amounts of darkness inside his heart.
Vanitas said: I AM darkness. Emphasis on AM. Regret is usually negative and results in shame. It plays the same dark scenes in your mind on repeat as technically, Ven was never forgiven.
We saw regret after Eraqus was beaten by Terra. " My OWN heart is darkenss". I believe that realization that attacking his own pupil isn't something light would do, the being of Darkness took over Eraqus heart and gave him the KH equivalent of a heart attack. You can see dark lines pulse outwards before he falls and fades. Maybe Xehanort wasn't the one who finished him off but Eraqus own darkness killing himself off after so much heartache.
Ven was on the floor with his eyes closed but i think he heard everything Darkness said to his friends. He spiraled into self hatred and maybe that's why he had no qualms about Xehanort extracting his darkness. He wanted out of that mental prison.

The child that becomes a host of darkness is actually a part played by a lot of characters in KH. In almost every story arc there is a character that does this movement. In KH1 and KH2 it's Riku, he becomes a host for someone else's darkness and by the end of KH2 it gets stripped away. Sure he still uses darkness afterward but it becomes his not someone else's.
In BBS it is Terra he becomes a host for Xehanort who thinks of himself as Darkness at that point. IN DDD Xehanort even calls Terra "the feckless youth who become my new vessel". If the true words for this character that has to do actions before is a child who becomes a vessel of Darkness then it makes sense that Xehanort might mistake Terra for that character. It is also true that at the end of KH3 Terra gets freed by a beam of light from Xehanorts possession. It is very likely that Terra will still have dark powers within him that he will need to learn how to deal with.
In DR it is most likely going to be Xehanort that becomes a host for Darkness which he will be until the end of KH3 where Sora frees him with a beam of light at the end of their fight and Xehanort is finally able to go on to wherever hearts go when they are ready to die.
So having a character who is meant to be the true embodiment of this repeating pattern makes a whole lot of sense. For this character to be Ventus is a bit shocking as he doesn't really fit in with the foreshadowing characters but honestly that might be part of what will make finding these characters a bit harder to do.
It might be important to note that even though she doesn't quite fit with the other characters Aqua also become a vessel for darkness in KH3 and got freed with a beam of light. She also will most likely have consequences from this even if we haven't seen the full of it. However as the only person we have seen the full of it is Riku that isn't really saying much.
It is also likely that the two other characters that Xehanort claimed where fated to happen are also important characters that have to happen. The child who fails to become a McGiffen, and the misguided master who sacrifices themselves. I have to say McGiffen because the object that a person needs to become isn't always the X blade even if that is what the object is meant to be. When a character foreshadows something it often isn't one to one. After all Riku and Terra become vessels of Xehanort rather then Darkness.
    importanthelpedcompletemakingusingkeybladesymbolically in that game.
before the X blade can be completed and used. Even though he failed the blade was still formed. The Master that sacrificed themselves was Aqua who in so doing helped Xehanort the villain to be able to continue on with his many plans.
Overall there are less symbolic characters for these roles but that is ok because we don't really know who the real ones are. Or at lest the main ones that will be acting out these roles in the next saga.
vessel for darkness but it doesn't really affect the Sora all that much. We have Riku who sacrifices himself but doing so doesn't help the villain in any way at lest not hugely. And we outright don't have a character that fails to become on object. It's almost like KH3 might have new patterns in it that are things that happen after these three roles have been done for Xehanorts mini war and we just don't know what the new patterns are.
symbolically or actually dies but acts from beyond the veil to talk with others. MoM and Strelitza bothstory in 2.8 it is a little reversed as she is the one symbolically dead but she does have Terra talk with her in that state which may also fit the role. It is possible that after KH3 Sora will fill this role a bit until he comes back home, I mean he already kind of did it in KHMOM even if he didn't talk which is kind of what everyone else in this role does.
There is also the teacher who saves the children of tomorrow but ends up failing them. Eraqus, Ansem the Wise, and Ava all fit that role it is very likely that MoM, Yen Sid, and Odin might also fit that role but I am not sure until I learn more about them.
I have thought of other roles that are repeating but I honestly can't tell if I am seeing patterns that are not there. Still I think that the three that Xehanort talked about in DDD might be real ones that we need to look out for. If Ventus is the true vessel for darkness then the other two roles likely also have a character that is them and it will likely be surprising who these characters are. We should also look out for characters who know about fate describing roles that characters fill each one they describe most likely is someone, and likely has several characters that foreshadow what the role really means.

You will notice Darkness works like Ansem Seeker of Darkness (ha ha clever title), too. Riku had a wish to get off the island, so he help Ansem Seeker of Darkness destroy the island. His pride was damaged by Sora so opened his heart to Darkness.
Even after Ansem Sod was defeat in One, he left an imprint of himself in Riku darkness. He guilt and fear became a Ansem Sod we fight in Chain of Memories.
Darkness works the same way. A being wishs for something. The Darkness looks in the dark side of their open heart and grants the dark version of that wish. They also imprint themselves in that heart, creating more Darknesses.

@@Fragmentsinfractals488 Good point. I was avoiding thinking about Xehanort and his versions because I am unsure what is going on with him and am waiting for more information from DR.
It does seem very likely that Xeahnort was taken as host at some point as it fits well with the pattern. And if that is the case then his heartless holding his Darkness(r) would make a lot of sense and might even explain why that heartless was able to keep a sense of self or as I like to call it a Will or the ability to act on the desire of the heart. Sora is the only other character to give his heartless a Will but he also give ones to Namine, Roxas, and maybe Xion so there is likely something else happening with him.
If Ansem Seeker of Darkness is partly a Darkness(r) from either Xehanort or Terra then it does explain how a Darkness(r) got inside Riku in CoM and KH2. It even explains why Riku thought it was Ansem even though the Heatless part of the being had been destroyed.
Actually I really like this idea it makes a lot of sense now that someone has brought it to my attention. The only question I really have at this point is was the Darkness(r) inside Riku destroyed in KH2 or did it just flee. I am not sure that we can repeat destroying it like that, but if it just fled then we might see it again and I would love to see it interact with Riku some more. Then again I just really like the idea of Riku being the one that the Darkness(r) talk to the most because he is the closes a human can get to understand them.

This furthers my thoughts that Darkness isn't inertly evil. It merely responds to the requests of those around it.
Darkness existed first and upon realizing who it what it was it found light and from their union a heart was born, Kingdom Hearts. That heart then spawned people who had hearts of their own. The people used Kingdom Hearts to Form the world but soon fought over Kingdom Hearts starting the First Keyblade War and Untimely Destroyed the x-Blade which was a manifestation of Kingdom Hearts itself. With the Blade Shattered Darkness could not find the light anymore and yearned to return to it but could not recognize itself in other beings and attacked them thinking they are the light and cling too them consuming them in the process. It lingers to return and will do anything to get there it sees ventus and M.O.M. as a means of doing so.
Darkness isn't evil per say but rather can't understand complex feelings that people have. Much like telling a dog to fetch after throwing a stick and it comes back with someones cane. It knows its supposed to get a long thin thing and bring it back but doesn't realize how its actions will affect others. It has a less complex understanding. Its job is to manifest when needed, but without the light to guide it the Darkness misunderstands and executes it poorly.

Getting me interested in a theory for a game I've never played

  • @Nyla_emotes
    @Nyla_emotes 3 роки тому +10

Very nice video! I think a bit differently tho.
I believe that the MoM divided his heart into 7 pieces, namely the Foretellers. In KHUX only one is missing and he is the one representing "Superbia" (or Pride in English). Another way of calling Superbia is "Vanitas". So I believe that the MoM hid the last piece of his heart into Ventus, and that part is the one willing to get power (as every pride person would do). This is the reason why Ventus is the "chosen one". He was literally chosen to hide the last foreteller inside himself. And as Darkness said Strelitzia or someone else from thee Union Leaders could have been the choice. Probably Darkness chose her because her mind was kinda distracted by us, "Player".
What I cannot understand is if MoM is a being of Light or Darkness. Or maybe just a human harbouring both of them.
In fact, the seven pieces of Mom's heart should theoretically be made of darkness, since the process itself requires darkness in order to split the heart as far as I understood. Maybe he is a being of light but kinda used the dark power in order to create the Foretellers?
If this is correct the black box, which contains "hope" and is named X-Super, would maybe harbour the last part of MoM's heart, the one connected to Light. That would explain the X: maybe only the X-blade can open that box or maybe reuniting "Vanitas" and all the Foretellers with "Superbia" will create a new X-blade. In the end, Darkness also said that there is more darkness than light. Maybe 7 foretellers vs 1 being of pure light should do (as represented also by the new chess game between Xehanorth and Eraqus).
That could also be the reason why the X-blade made by the clashing of Vanitas and Ventus was not successful. It was simply a "fake" one.
Also, adding to this theory it could be that the MoM we saw in Shibuya could be his nobody or a version of the Mom who "died" in the process of splitting is heart into the seven pieces.

There is a possibility that there are two different Vanitases in Kingdom Hearts 3. In Re:Mind Saïx says that Vanitas is from the past, but in the base game in Monstropolis Vanitas tells Sora that the unversed recreated his heart from the screams of children. While it is possible that they got him immediately after he fought Ventus and the unversed had to heal it, I believe it's a lot more likely they would have grabbed him from a part of the timeline where he was still whole, since he has to get sent back eventually anyway.

I honestly believe that Ven is the fated child mention in the book, for the many reasons and facts surrounding him and the darkness. I believe in the end the final battle that will happen where darkness wins and over takes light will be Ven's battle with the darkness. Again there is many facts as kh union x updates comes as well as old ones from the beginning. As for Sora's connection with them both, I believe his Ven entity, his second light. Its because of the battle ven had with vinitas, that separated his heart and fled to sora. If his heart didn't do that, then he wouldn't have no connection to sora. In fact it could even be said that sora may not have even been chosen at that time in the beginning if ven's heart didn't go to him.

It seems that what the Master of Masters said about "what to do after darkness prevails" consisted on what Sora did after everyone died, meaning, he might have even foreseen an "overwrite" that allows for death to be negated in some way. By extension, that would also mean that the Master of Masters's goal is somehow related to Sora essentially vanishing from the part of reality he's from.
It seems that the power of waking is quite literally "the awakening of those who sleep", or, in other words, "the resurrection of those who have died". Oh, boy, this is a bit...
The Master of Masters may want more than this power.
So, basically, what makes this so frightening, is the fact that, for the power of waking to occur, Sora needs to use his very own spirit to reach out to other spirits and, by extension, resurrect them and, alongside the spirits, help the hearts/souls reform.
If that's not clear enough; conceptually speaking, magic, or rather, ether-mass, is one of the core fundamentals that make up the heart/soul, meaning, "the power of imagination", and through the physical bodies, that imagination, or, "mirroring and replication of an image from someone or something", uses ether-mass as its source of "fuel", so to speak. Once that "fuel" runs out, the "filter of the fuel", or, the physical body, needs to rest or replenish that energy, unless it dies.
So, by extension, the heart/soul, in its own degree, being the "filter of the spirit", or rather, consciousness, life and existance, can also deplete it's energy.
The spirit has something much more powerful than magic, which goes far beyond "the power of imagination", or "the power to form things out of previously existing things as an image of it", and that power is the "power of creativity", or, "the power to create things that have potential to exist, yet don't exist in the active reality".
To put it simple, Sora, gaining access to the power of creativity or creation, has used a power equivalent to the divine. To put it into perspective, he has the potential of becoming someone similar to a "composer" from TWEWY, which is a sort of an angelic being that has dominion over certain regions of dimensions and reality.
The problem is, since spiritually speaking, Sora isn't nearly as evolved as needed to be able to use that power without literally completely draining his existance to the brink of death, he successfully spiritually traveled to another dimension of reality by "spamming resurrection power", sort of how, in DBZ, there's instant teleportation.
In fact, now that I'm in the topic, notice how, in DBZ, Saiyans have to go through intense training to use their Super form efficiently. The same applies with Sora; the more he uses it, the better and more efficient he'll get at mastering his new-found power. One could even say that, right now, his recklessness is sort of how Goku uses his "last resort" in the Saiyan Saga against Vegeta, the Kaioken technique, which dramatically increases the drain of energy from the user in exchange for a boost in all stats.
The reason I bring this up, and I know this is just personal speculation, is because what the Master of Masters may be seeking, based on this power, is to perhaps control reality in a major way, just like Xehanort was trying to do, but in a much bigger and heavy way that could possibly change evrything. What exactly that is, and what are his goals, his purpose, and what lies in "that box", is anyone's guess.
That said, I'm almost certain that whatever it may be, it may have to do with "the power of bringing the dead back to life". Just a thought.

Could the darkness have fragmented in half? Half in Ventus and half in Sora with Vanitas being half of it considering the two are connected over that stint in BBS. With Vanitas in play at the time of the power of waking being used by Sora, could the Darkness half that Sora has be what is trying to steer him away from helping Ventus in Remind and if so Could that Dark Inferno be taking on the form of some of Ventus’s memories from Union Cross that being of Ephemer due to the resemblance of the scarf Dark inferno wears while imitating that of a darkling/invincible heartless hybrid

Could you do a theory about Demyx? We don’t know his past or his original name, and why we didn’t see him at the ending of kh3.

@@NextGenNovelist Well regarding Demyx there is this theory that he might be related to Elrena/Larxene. This isn’t just an idea a fanfic writer came up with a person on Tumblr actually posted about this theory and I’ll admit it’s possible. They do seem to have a past history what with the way Larxene snaps at Demyx a lot of times. Also they do have similar eye color so if there was any chance of Elrena/Larxene having a sibling it would likely be Demyx. There’s something in their past that connects them.
Also I headcanon Demyx might have ADHD, it would explain why he acts up the way he does.

I don't think it's fair to say Ven and Vanitas were seperate in Re:Mind, the Vanitas from the final battle was from the past, like Xemnas, Ansem, and Young Xehanort.

Fundamentally speaking, hearts/souls are more of a filter, and darkness, as a thing, can be filtered through a soul, meaning that Darkness, in it's core, has no "being", but it can influence a heart/soul's existance, so much so that the being influenced by it can become an extension of Darkness and manifest itself through that heart/soul.
What I'm getting at is that, originally, Vanitas was one with Ventus, and as such, came from his "dark side", a side which is inhabited by Darkness, so one could infer that, technically speaking, Vanitas is a version of Darkness that was seperated from Ventus when Xehanort split his heart/soul in half, resulting in Vanitas gaining independence from Darkness, but at the same time, having its nature, though in a more intelligent life form.
Essentially, Vanitas is Darkness, but as the image of Sora, who is connected to Ventus by Sora having Ventus's heart/soul rest on his own, becoming united in the process, and since Sora's darkness is also part of the mix, Ventus and Sora mutually affect one another's dark side, which is why, whenever we encounter Sora's heartless, the giant Darkside, he keeps changing from time to time based on the experiences of Sora. That is the reason Darkside had a water-crystaline, almost transparent-like appearance when fighting Sora in "the place where all hearts return", a threshold that, once passed, hearts/souls enter another reality with its own space-time, historical events and circumstances. Darkside was dying as much as Sora was physically.
In any case, notice how Dark Inferno has two blades. Also notice his "floatiness" and speed, his combos and the way he goes "berserk" and boosts his AoE and hit count. It's as if it has both the abilities and characteristics of Ventus and Sora.
Terranort's Guardian was the heartless imprisoning Terra's heart/soul, and it had properties of being a bit slow, yet a heavy hitter with wide range and some earth-based attacks.
So, it wouldn't be to farfetched to believe Dark Inferno is to Ventus and Sora what Guardian is to Terra; a stronghold keeping them from freedom.
It's possible that Aqua may have also developed a "dark side" similar to Ventus/Sora and Terra, based on aquatic maneuvers, skills and magic. It may certainly be the toughest out of the three, since in BBS, the challenges each of them went through overall depended highly on who you played with, and it seems that, from easiest to hardest, Ventus was Beginner, Terra was Standard and Aqua was Proud.
That said, Ventus's "dark side" is tougher than Terra's because Ventus shares hearts/souls with Sora, so basically, Sora's maneuvers, skills and abilities translate to more power when added to Ventus's.
Now, the question is: Is this how it'll be in the next KH title, or am I mistaken? I don't know, but what I DO know is that all of this information may play a very important role in the future of the franchise, to a bigger or smaller degree, in whatever form it might be.

So a lot of theories come back to the mysterious black box. A box I've ALWAYS thought of as 'Pandoras Box' because Maleficent seeks it in Olympus. It's a box full of darkness (all the bad things) but more importantly the trade off is the box also contains invaluable HOPE.
If the MoM has been playing a really long game of chess, what should we expect the box to contain if it holds the world of light's hope? And will the box eventually fulfill its role of locking away the Darkness itself?

In Japanese, the “fated child” Darkness talks about is EXACTLY the same words as the “child of destiny.” The translation just messed it up.
Personally, I think Darkness misunderstood the child of destiny prophecy and didn’t realize the child would hail from Destiny Islands. But it chose Ventus because it believed he was this child. I’m not saying Ventus is the child of destiny or it means being a vessel for darkness, but Darkness believes this is true. Unless Darkness has the right idea about what the child of destiny is?
Things you miss in the English translation.
I wonder why MoM chose Strelitzia as a union leader if he potentially knew what Darkness would do to her. But why her?

  • @TheFixer_1
    @TheFixer_1 2 роки тому

no Darkness said that Ventus wanted power and interpreted that as elevating Ventus to Union leader status by removing Strelitzia.
FYI The book of Prophecies is a Destiny Trap where by nobody can change events once they're apart of those events. The MoM wrote the book giving details about what was to come these details mean that everyone was on a predestined path including Darkness. this made everyone's actions are easily predictable. BTW there's only 1 way to beat a Destiny Trap... and that's to be both with in & out of the Destiny Trap at the same time Ala Sora when he was in and out of it simultaneously due to his misuse of the Power of Waking and his time travelling shenanigans.
Vanitas was created from the natural Darkness within him... the Darkness that resides within Ventus is a True Darkness and not the shadow that makes up a part of his heart.
