No it wasn't. It was supposed to be just as much of a horror film as this one. I saw this 3x in the movie theater. I love it. Doctor Strange is my favorite marvel hero alongside Iron Man, and Multiverse of Madness was faithful to the spirit of his comics. Loved your reaction, it was fun and it was everything I hoped for.
My favorite part of this movie is still seeing Anson Mount return as Black Bolt. I was so sure that after the failure of the Inhumans TV show that Feige and Marvel would never wanna remind people of its existence ever again but the fact that they brought the Inhumans back and specifically Anson, it just gives me hope that maybe the Inhumans have another chance. I mean sure this version of Black Bolt died but still, we got to see the proper costume with the tuning fork and see him use his powers. I really hope they bring him back for the main 616 Earth version! Also I’m pretty sure this return happened because Feige is a huge Star Trek fan and Anson has been beloved for playing the character of Captain Pike and recently even has his own show that fans campaigned for. I really hope now that we have confirmed that Inhumans exist in the multiverse, it means we might see them in Earth 616. Also another fun fact, both Patrick Stewart and Anson Mount had their Star Trek shows airing on the same week that this movie premiered 😆 Patrick had the last episode of Star Trek Picard Season 2 and Anson had the first episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 1. They were both having quite a week being in Star Trek and the MCU.

“Thanos was gonna crush him anyway” uhh nope. If he didn’t have the time stone, he wouldn’t have been able to undo the destruction of the mind stone by Wanda’s hand. Instead, Wanda’s sacrifice was made meaningless and she had to watch vision die twice.
@@Peacemaker2024-A9TThat’s not how the MCU’s Reality Stone works; the Russos basically confirmed that anything conjured by the Reality Stone was mostly illusory and temporary. Thanos needed the Time Stone.

i just noticed but xavier as the only one to differentiate between their stephen and ours whereas all the others were talking like he was the one who made those choices, who caused the incursion. nice detail
The yellow floating chair, the color suit & tie as the comic (green suit, blue & black striped tie) insane amout of detail. Gotta keep the comic book bois happy. Who am I kidding? I'm such a nerd.
My favorite part of this movie is how brutal the deaths were. For this to be Disney is actually pretty sick and a step in the right direction for opening the Disney brand to a larger audience of adults who may see Disney as too family friendly. I think it’s interesting that we have had a lot of commentary in media recently about how a man’s biggest weakness is Grief from tragedy. It is such a common misconception that “men have to be manly and never shed a tear”. So in turn many times they don’t allow themselves to commit or fall in love in fear that they will lose the person they love, so they hide that insecurity in the form of hyper masculinity and ego. Strange has always had an ego problem. When he says he’s scared he means he’s scared to commit to her and then lose her to a tragic death especially after seeing Peter deal with the grief of losing aunt may. This is also a storyline featured in both seasons of Bridgerton.
29:06 That patch on the back of the cloak came from being repaired when it got damaged. He jumped through the portal with America Chavez. Christine used a piece of the blue cloak in the other universe to attach and repair it.
Impressive scenes & great reactions from you all when she took out Xmen & Xavier 😮was cool seeing all the other superheroes from different multiverses & all action scenes were epic, Dr Strange 1 of my many fave characters & was good to see him have his own film 😎🎬
Badd Medicine, At the end of the movie you questioned what the 'clue' was regarding the multiverse/universe that was opened for the incursion that needed to be fixed. If you have seen the first Dr Strange movie when he fought Dormammu they fought in the Dark Dimension. You will notice the one in the first movie and one being opened is the same. As a side note, the woman played by Charlize Theron is a character named Clea. In the Marvel lore Clea is the niece of Dormammu and a 'significant' character in Dr Strange's life. I'm sure that will all play out in future stories of the MCU. Cheers
In one of the end credit scenes when that girl opened the portal, you can actually recognize as the dark dimension, where Strange went to “fight” dormammu
4:17 Seeing as how he got knocked out there, I would say yes it does really, really, really hurt him. We even see several versions of him straight up die. 10:30 Hawkeye defeated Wanda with an arrow back in Age of Ultron. Just saying. Better than doing nothing. 11:25 That was a little more than just an illusion. They trapped her in another dimension. The mirror dimension was introduced in the first Doctor Strange and used as recently as No Way Home. It's how sorcerers can contain threats and manipulate the landscape in those trippy Inception-esque scenes. 18:42 In a nice bit of world-building, it's implied most of this universe's heroes are retired since Tony Stark's Ultron program worked. It's why this Wanda is much happier and the world seems almost utopian. Ross Marquand (aka Aaron from The Walking Dead) was brought back in to do the voice from the What If...? series. 21:02 X-Men isn't the only crossover. Black Bolt was also brought back from the short-lived and critical failure Inhumans series. Like most things MCU, they took something that didn't work and made it so much better the second time around (even as short as the cameo was). Don't know if you guys noticed that Captain Marvel was Maria Rambeau from the 2019 film. 42:55 True but they don't know that. Their version of Strange destroyed another universe and had to be executed because he was so dangerous. Also, the Illuminati have usually been depicted as arrogant. At least Charles Xavier had the compassion to trust Strange. Benefit of the doubt seems to be a major characteristic of all versions of Professor X. 46:50 Ironically the film's actual lesson is the exact opposite of that. It's not meant to be. Strange had to accept that he can't be with Christine in any universe. Only in finally accepting that was he cosmically rewarded with meeting the woman destined to be his future wife.
At least the Illuminati didn't straight up killing Strange, they did a trial first. If Wanda never attack, there's still possibility the Illuminati will help him in the end. Especially since Charles can read his mind. The others must take that into consideration before casting their vote, except Mordo, but he just one person.
Everyone always brings up Hawkeye stunning Wanda, but he didn’t “beat” her, she left right after that and mind controlled hulk to go on a rampage. Wanda and Pietro won that fight at that moment because she did what she came to do.
@@drssupreme3332 They may have won that fight but Hawkeye was the only one there not to get mind controlled. And so it goes that he's still the most underappreciated and overhated hero.
No, she dreamwalked with the goal to kill a kid, so she could kidnap someone else's kids, and in the process slaughtered numerous people, except for named characters because... you know... plot armor. Strange, when he has no other option available to him, dreamwalks into a corpse to stop her. These are not the same thing. She's not right, this movie just turned her into an idiot from the very start
@@ashertonic2798in Wanda defense in order to have her children back she had to kill America She had no other choice too, the thing with Strange and other is they talked about what's right and wrong but at the end they were willing to do whatever it takes too, the reasons may be good but it doesn't matter because at the end he himself used the Darkhold, Wong told him to kill America, they did something with the same reason they had to fight Wanda

Loved the movie, such a breath of fresh air from most MCU format. Plus, knowing Sam Raimi who directed this just the cherry on top. Yeah it needs some polish in some parts but overall a great movie for me.
Black Bolt is the leader of the Inhumans, another Marvel property. It was actually the same actor that played him in the Inhumans TV show. (It's on Disney+ and not very well received). Really cool to see him.
Those people that didn't like this movie are probably the same people that read leaks and believe every word of those leaks. They're upset by their own view on how the movie should've been made.
I think you can take away a lot about anger and grief from this movie. Anger can turn you into a monster. If you get what you want at the cost of others, is it really worth it? Grief isn’t something you overcome, but rather something you learn to live with. A life for a life leaves a lot of people dead. Courage doesn’t just come from having power but rather from the desire to protect those you love. Just a few I picked up ❤️
Hey guys, thought you might like to know who that was in the mid credit scene asking Dr S to go fix an incursion. It was Clea who is Dormamu’s niece. It the comics she becomes his lover, wife & eventually the Sorcerer supreme. At one point, she is ruler of the dark dimension where Dr S bested Dormamu in the first movie. You can see she had no problem hopping the multiverse. Great reviews. Enjoy your videos.👍🏻
There's so much I want to say about the comics and the possible connection to this movie/ future movies but I also don't want to ruin future movies if the MCU decides to continue to follow the comics for certain elements, like Reeds children for example.
This felt more like a movie about Wanda rather than a Doctor Strange movie. Elizabeth Olsen stole the show and outshined Strange and all the other characters. I don’t think this is the last time we’ll see Wanda in the MCU
This movie was such a breathe of fresh air for the MCU. It got a lot of hate (mainly because fans didn't get there 100000 cameos they wanted) but it was awesome. It wasn't afraid to be violent, they told less jokes, the camera style was AWESOME!! They didn't rely on a bunch of cameos to keep us "happy" and obviously seeing Bruce Campbell, one of Sam Ramis best friends whos in everything he does, was great! I hope everyone learns to appreciate this movie in the long run.
0:01 Mark! Guys! I just read your description box, as I usually do, first. In it, you refer to Peggy as "Captain America" before eventually getting it right! 😂😅 By the way, "Captain Britain" is a totally different character, hence why she isn't called by that moniker. 😊
In the trailer, the speech that Wanda says about her kids being real is actually said by Strange, along the lines of ‘every night the same dream and in the morning the nightmare begins’ and the Strange from the universe where the Sanctum musical fight happens says a line like ‘it’s about to get weird’ - basically, the trailer was edited to make the movie more secret-ish (very technical terms here) Also, with the recent news about the Fox contracts still being active through 2025 I doubt we’ll get anything more than a cameo here or there like Professor X in this movie. I think they’d try to hold off until P5 or P6 to re-introduce some of the existing characters with new actors, fresh contracts. Just starting following your channel, super fun, great job 👏
@Badd Medicine The Captain Marvel in that universe is Monica Rambeau's mom. She was Carol's best friend in the first Captain Marvel film. And of course, Monica gained her powers in WandaVision and will be teaming up with Carol and Kamala Khan in The Marvels.
The director of this movie, Sam Raimi, very much likes the classic idea of ultimate good and ultimate evil. The Darkhold book which corrupts Wanda and Evil Strange is based off of the Necronomicron, a fictional book which is referenced in many of H. P. Lovecraft's horror stories dating back to the 1920's. The concept of an evil tome has evolved over the decades, and I was very pleased that the movie does not explicitly explain that anyone who damages the Darkhold just outright dies.
the horror and thriller vibes lol I watched in in theater and just jumped out from my seat because of the jumpscares😭 A good movie tho. we can see how strong is Wanda. Anyway, I want to recommend you guys to watch Star Trek. Yeah, I'm not a patrons so I don't know where to put my recommendations 😥hope you guys find it interesting as well
That bit at the end where the kids are throwing toys and Wanda screams "STOP IT!!" and scares them wasn't in the script. One of the young actors accidentally hit Elizabeth Olsen in the face really hard and she got upset. She said she used the emotion to improvise the scene as an actress, but the kids were genuinely scared and she felt bad.
I am excited to see what Disney+Marvel do to introduce X-Men and Fantastic 4, officially. They both will have their own movies, according to Marvel. Wanda and Pietro (Peter -- "QuickSilver") Maximoff are Magneto's children. Polaris is their half sister and you will see her in the Fox Network show, "The Gifted" before Disney finalized their acquisition of X-Men. I really hope Disney restarts the ENTIRE X-Men story line to bring them into he Avenger family along w/ the Fantastic 4. I want them to start w/ a origin story for Professor X showing how, for a long time, he thought he was insane and his parents feared him and stayed away form him, but loved him and even let him have the entire house to himself and never disowned him nor turned him into any scientists. They were not abusive, but did they leave him alone most of his life. He thought he was crazy and, as an adult, he even checked himself into an asylum where he then meets his wife that is there in a coma from WWII trauma. After they bond psychically he gets her to wake up and they fall in love and both come to terms with their abilities. Together they trick the guards to declare them both cured and then allows them to leave, marry, and have their son David Haller. Upon conception David is being hunted by a mutant, Faruq for another universe that can sense his powers even though he is not born yet. Charles can FEEL Faruq reaching out to his baby and takes the family into constant running and hiding trying to avoid the mutant that he cannot see. David, in actuality, is the most powerful and dangerous mutants in the entire Marvel Comics Universe ever and a sufferer of both autism and extreme dissociative identity disorder (with in excess of a thousand different personas inside his mind, each of which has a super-power of their own), although classified as a villain Legion is in fact a man who wants to do good in the world, but is battling with many multiple personalities as well as incredible powers he can barely understand, let alone control. His story is amazing and tragic. He will never die. Marvel confessed that they were unsure how they could bring him into a story without him solving the problem in 5 minutes, but they want to give him his own dedicated movie arc to respect the depth of his abilities and complexity of character. By design David will never be fully self-aware of ALL he can do. His own father and other mutants constantly treat him as a villain because of his alternate personalities, but he is often just a good guy and is just David. His power makes him an OMEGA mutant like Wanda, but he is far more powerful than her and all other OMEGAs together. His powers allow him to constantly create universes in his mind and in the universes he is also creating populations of people and mutants that have powers that he then can use. He has thousands of powers and personalities and usually is unaware when he is not in control of himself. He even creates numerous other OMEGA mutants within himself! He's an amazing force of nature and my favorite! In some fashion despite his desire to do good some of his personalities, including Faruq manipulate him and he kills MANY people and consumes other mutants out in the world and takes their powers. Sometimes, he can choose to bring people back to life WITH Their powers, but he keeps a copy for himself. Total bad @$$. After that origin story they can then introduce the X-Men and its school for gifted children, but this time include GAMBIT and let him have his love story w/ Rogue!!! Give Darwin a full and proper story line along w/ Havoc and Cyclops. Also, they can properly present the Omegas and Cyclops instead of having them represented as easy-to-beat-or-kill side characters.
I watched this last week at the sus rec from my children's mother...she didn't oversell but said there were lots of great things I would like. Hate it when I have to agree with her. Looking forward to this viewing
The character that Charlize Theron played in the post credit scene is named Clea. She is the niece of your mama and sorcerer supreme of the dark dimension. But for short, let's just call her the next girl.
Wanda lost so much and wanted her kids back like we all would have but the dark hold corrupted her in a way that she became super selfish and lost all her moral grounds Its a bit different than a plot device that makes someone evil Wanda still isn't evil, she is just super selfish thats corruption for you
So I’m late to the party - two years late, in fact - but I have to push back on that statement made at 8:55 . “Thanos was gonna crush him anyway.” He did, but the added layer of her destroying Vision only for Thanos to reverse it using the Time Stone, which Doc Strange gave by the way (hence another reason Wanda was antagonistic towards Strange in this film), thus making her sacrifice for nothing. Killing the one you loved for the greater good is already devastating and traumatizing, but to see it become null and void is even worse. And y’all obviously forgot Wanda already lost her entire family AND saw what SWORD did to Vision’s remains in WandaVision at this point, hence why the Hex in Westview even happened. Also, keep this in mind: all of her losses were caused by outside forces; whether it was her parents who were killed because Stark Industries weapons were used on her village, Ultron shooting and killing Pietro, and Thanos murdering Vision… all of her loved ones were taken by other people/forces. It’s not surprising Wanda snapped, hell, anybody who *truly* paid attention to the events of the MCU suspected Wanda was the main villain of this film when they first released the trailers.

Elizabeth Olsen was just incredible tbh, I was so conflicted because I kinda wanted to get her way but I was also rooting for Dr Strange.. It was great! Hope we Scarlet witch again soon!
We had the pleasure of learning of the dark hold in agent's of shield, there was an entire season maybe even two or three seasons just based on that and it's power. It's why ghost rider was the star of season 4 his family member had found the dark hold and used it for bad then an AI used it to create her own body and then her own reality. Such an amazing TV show
1000% agree with Oak. This movie was absolutely incredible. Wanda was INCREDIBLE!!!!
27:08 I always saw that as very similar to terminator with the glowing red eyes on an unstoppable merciless being, the limp, the chase in an industrial looking area, busting through thick metal doors, it just screams original Terminator
22:10 Mark! Guys, hey! In "Star Trek" terms, you now have Captains Jean-Luc Picard, Christopher Pike, from their respective Starships Enterprise, and the captain of the Sleeper Ship Botany Bay, "Khan" in the same room! 🖖
Reed Richards said he had children of his own the names are: Franklin & Valerie I can't wait to them in MCU.
Inhumans is an epic series of horrible show making. It's great to light a bud and binge watchbit for laughs
3:00 Mark! I did! She married the guy who bought her beer while I was getting her the "Dr Pepper" she requested! The wedding venue was changed at the last minute, so without an organist, I hummed, "Here Comes the Bride" for them since that's easier than whistling and singing! I also signed the paperwork as a witness! But I had a date! Her older sister! 😮
“Thanos was gonna crush him anyway”
uhh nope. If he didn’t have the time stone, he wouldn’t have been able to undo the destruction of the mind stone by Wanda’s hand. Instead, Wanda’s sacrifice was made meaningless and she had to watch vision die twice.
Even if Thanos didn't have the time stone, it wouldn't have changed anything. He could have used the reality stone.
@@Peacemaker2024-A9TThat’s not how the MCU’s Reality Stone works; the Russos basically confirmed that anything conjured by the Reality Stone was mostly illusory and temporary. Thanos needed the Time Stone.
@@tmc31390 That is wrong the reality stone literally has the same powers as the scarlet witch and can warp reailty and bring back the dead.
Actually Black Bolt was from the Marvel series "Inhumans" and they pulled him back in for this film. It's a pretty deep cut.
The inhumans get no respect.
This was Sam Raimi firing on all cylinders, and it was a darn blast! Plus it's an MCU film... (insert Denzel Washington saying, *My man.*
Haha... Wish UA-cam would allow gifs in the comments
Man I just found this channel yesterday and I love all your guys personalities. So endearing.
29:17 Mark! Oh yeah! The Cloak & Wong star in a "Tide" commercial in which we see what happens when Wong uses a clothes washer and a clothes dryer to clean Cloak!" 😂😅
That was out at the same time as the car commercial in which MJ and Ned rescue Peter Parker from a long desert highway walk! 😂😅
Its fun watching Bennidict talk about this film. He said its Wanda's film, not his. And he doesnt go through much character growth.
Nothing like seeing a new video pop up from the bad medicine crew. BACK!!
Hell Yeah! Let's gooooo!
This is one of those movies I probably wouldn’t watch again willingly, but it wasn’t too bad. Still enjoyable.
@Badd Medicine Fun Fact: Sara Wolfe (the one that destroyed the Darkhold to save Wong) was Wong's love interest in the comics.
watching this in today and seeing Dave saying can we get Hugh Jackman one more time knowing he coming back next month on the big screen is wild
i just noticed but xavier as the only one to differentiate between their stephen and ours whereas all the others were talking like he was the one who made those choices, who caused the incursion.
J 😮z z
If seen this before but this time I noticed that the Doktor Strange from the first dream has the Ten Rings like Shang-Chi.
29:06 That patch on the back of the cloak came from being repaired when it got damaged. He jumped through the portal with America Chavez. Christine used a piece of the blue cloak in the other universe to attach and repair it.
The character that appeared in the mid credits was Clea. She is the Wife of Strange (in comics) and Niece of Dormammu
Impressive scenes & great reactions from you all when she took out Xmen & Xavier 😮was cool seeing all the other superheroes from different multiverses & all action scenes were epic, Dr Strange 1 of my many fave characters & was good to see him have his own film 😎🎬
3:42 Mark! That's what the cereal prize toy would like if it were alive and a giant beast! 😂😅
Elizabeth Olsen is phenomenal; always loved her in the MCU!!!!
Badd Medicine,
At the end of the movie you questioned what the 'clue' was regarding the multiverse/universe that was opened for the incursion that needed to be fixed.
Who is destined to be his future wife????…….. Charlize Therone’s character??? 😲
@@sharonbesong9687 yes. She is playing Clea, Dormammu's niece, future "Clea Strange".
I love how right Wanda is when she calls Steven a hypocrite after he himself dreamwalks.
Been waiting for this! Love that Oak relates some of the things to HP! He is really now a super fan LOL. Can't wait for Fantastic Beasts!
Even in a marvel film oak making a Harry Potter reference his heart has truly changed and I love it ❤️☺️
One of m favorite marvel movies of all time
The visuals in this were amazing
You guys always make me Laugh with your reactions , keep the vids comin 👍
Thank you Emilio 🤙much appreciated and thanks for watching🤘
I love how the death of Prof. X was the one you guys had the hardest time with .... it surprised me too, i will admit.
I love that the Wanda that crawled through the shield and broke xaviers neck is her true form she uses her magic to look how we saw normal face wanda
Wandavision: "I'm not a witch" and "They'll never know what you sacrificed for them"
Wanda in MoM: "I missed the part where that's my problem"
Is it weird that I like the MoM Wanda rendition more? They just went straight full antagonist and still somehow made me sympathize with her.
@@itzelwisteria1819 it depends like they really assassinated her character from wandavision to here like in a way she learned nothing from wandavision and that makes the show much worse in my opinion
@@andreworihuela5175 she did read the Darkhold. She was immensely corrupted at this point. Normal Wanda would never kill people. The Scarlet Witch, on the other hand...
As those creatures circled zombie strange, their accusing voices reminded me of Evil Dead 1’s “Swallow your Soul”.
39:20 Mark! Ahem. Psst! In the comics, the blonde is his wife! 😃
Those people that didn't like this movie are probably the same people that read leaks and believe every word of those leaks.
They're upset by their own view on how the movie should've been made.
Nope
He goes to the wedding cause they are friends ... I mean he does not have many xD
😂
Charlise play Clea, Strange's assistant & eventually wife in the comics. Oh & she's also Dormammu's daughter.
Oh... Love interest for Dr. Strange here. That will be cool to see. Thank you for watching and dropping the knowledge🤙We appreciate it.
I don’t think this is the last time we’ll see Wanda in the MCU
this movie is on my top three for marvel movies
Literally obsessed with this channel omg🔥🔥
I've been waiting for this🔥
"can we get hugh jackman one more time"
hugh: yeah. sure, ryan.
i suggest on u guys to watch Wandavision, to know why Wanda is acting like that..its sort of the prequel before Multiverse of Madness..😊
I'd luv to see Chris Evans as captain America and Johnny Storm from the first fantastic 4 together in the same universe lol
Oak still referencing Potter! I love it 🥰 🤩
always love your reactions!!! lots of love from the Philippines
Thanks you. Cheers from the states🤙
Can we get Hugh Jackman one more time?
Deadpool 3: Say no more.
0:01 Mark! Guys! I just read your description box, as I usually do, first. In it, you refer to Peggy as "Captain America" before eventually getting it right! 😂😅
By the way, "Captain Britain" is a totally different character, hence why she isn't called by that moniker. 😊
In the trailer, the speech that Wanda says about her kids being real is actually said by Strange, along the lines of ‘every night the same dream and in the morning the nightmare begins’ and the Strange from the universe where the Sanctum musical fight happens says a line like ‘it’s about to get weird’ - basically, the trailer was edited to make the movie more secret-ish (very technical terms here)
Also, with the recent news about the Fox contracts still being active through 2025 I doubt we’ll get anything more than a cameo here or there like Professor X in this movie. I think they’d try to hold off until P5 or P6 to re-introduce some of the existing characters with new actors, fresh contracts.
Just starting following your channel, super fun, great job 👏
I just read that about the Fox contracts. That's crazy! Glad you found us and enjoying 🤙
Oak, I'm glad someone else sees Marvel movies with no knowledge of the comics, I loved this movie.
Omg!!!! Love this reaction!! Love u guys!! 💖💖 waiting for fantastic beasts!! 👀
🤙🤙🤙😁😁😁
Musical Battle between the two Stranges is my favorite battle in this movie
That was actually very entertaining
Well that huge jack man callout was pretty accurate
I watched this last week at the sus rec from my children's mother...she didn't oversell but said there were lots of great things I would like.
Hate it when I have to agree with her.
Looking forward to this viewing
Rewatching this a year later & seeing the part at 21:10 about Hugh Jackman knowing the movie we get in July is amazing!
The character that Charlize Theron played in the post credit scene is named Clea. She is the niece of your mama and sorcerer supreme of the dark dimension. But for short, let's just call her the next girl.
The other side of the portal in the post credits scene sure looked like Dormammus Dark Deminsion...
the red coming out of the black smoke, reminds me of the 1st godzilla movie
Always so entertaining! First
Lease goo...this intro never gets old...
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wanda lost so much and wanted her kids back like we all would have but the dark hold corrupted her in a way that she became super selfish and lost all her moral grounds
Its a bit different than a plot device that makes someone evil
Wanda still isn't evil, she is just super selfish thats corruption for you
Through the portal looks like Dormamus realm from the first Strange movie
At the end, the portal kinda looked like where dormamu in the first movie was living
The more of your videos I see the more I feel like The Oak and I think exactly the same way.
I love how the genuis illuminati christy thought a fire extinguisher would break the cells designed by Reed Richard's to hold beings of unknown strength lmao
