which map is the best in your opinion?
Northwest USA. No questions asked.
Northwest USA
Canada in my opinion actually
Isla Nublar 1993 is the best because it has a more lower part of the map.
Pennsylvania, maybe because I’m from New England and the trees remind me of fall ♥️💛🧡
We weren't sick of the tropical biome. We were sick of the tropical biome being the ONLY biome.
😂
Tbh, my favourite biome is the tropical
No, I'm pretty sure we're just sick of tropical
@@BKAngmar u mean YOU were just sick of tropical 🌴
I like to think of San Diego as more of a coastal wetland than a desert. Throw down the palm trees cause they look like cypress and it totally changes the vibe of the map
yes 100% true same here
Nublar '93 adds an "expansion coming soon" element to the park with the lower section. There's more space in that area than it initially looks like.
The shadows are annoying, I set to day, then 24 hour cycle...shadows gone by the time I'm a quarter through the build.
Site B is SOO underrated. The ability to have the distinct districts in a traditional topical biome, even if that's what you're forced to do, is so nice. Plus the nostalgia factor from BOTH JP2 and JP3 should have carried it WAY farther. I like how the non-buildable areas have human elements to them like a runway strip and some broken down buildings. It really feels like your pulling yourself out from the ashes of the previous parks
Yeah,Site B is really underrated.
Players use it quite often, but nobody talks about it as much as they should.
Also a parachute in a tree and the aviary from the movie!
Completely agree with Yosemite, had a blast building on that one ❤ and I always view the islands in the middle as backdrop opportunities for an enclosure, you don't have to have the fence all around it that way :) that's why I love the southwest map, you can make use of the natural barriers :)
Honestly same! In real life I live close to Yosemite and it looks exactly like this!
With the new dlc, biosyn valley is 100% my favourite, it’s so wild and the fog/mist makes for some beautiful screenshots
I agree with your thoughts on Oregon - it's a gorgeous location for a map. I like to pretend that guests arrive via boat on it, so it would be nice to be able to place the park entrance right up against the water.
0:18 *hey that’s me!*
You forgot to mention the fact that you can plop a Brachiosaur with a response team to an Enclosure in Canada, even in Sandbox Mode. Giving you a fan-favourite Sauropod right off the bat.
In my opinion
Best Map: Germany, Beautiful, expansive and amazing beach.
2 best: Arizona because It’s big and its a desert and not another stupid jungle.
Worst: Southwest Usa the map is gorgeous and has my favorite biome, desert but it’s messy with the borders.
Jurassic Park will always be tropical to me. Either that or redwood forest. The other regions just feel weird to have dinos on. That and JP is the superior trilogy.
Dinosaurs lived all over the world tho
It's not weird, it's how nature works
@@kiarash608 that's why he said jurassic park not the dinosaurs themselves
I enjoyed the video you just got another subscriber 😊
Great overviews, I needed this ♥️
The Isla Nublar map is still my favorite map for one simple reason. The tropical biome makes the most sense for dinosaurs to live comfortably. The earth was warmer 150 millions years ago, so dinosaurs would thrive in a tropical biome. The Nublar maps also let me easily build desert, redwood, and temperate biomes.
I have had a good time with Southwest USA because I just didn’t build a park! I just did the animals themselves and let them roam freely. I enjoyed the Disney Dinosaur-esque shots I’ve recreated with seeing herds migrate across the open areas of the map. And the lagoons look pretty when they have the desert sun on them, they remind me of the “Nobody Else But You” scene in A Goofy Movie. But I totally understand critique of it, it’s really a pain to build stuff. Challenge mode there wasn’t too bad on easy mode but still a pain.
I love building sandbox parks and I get why you like flat areas but in my opinion I like wierd hills and mountains because it gives the map character and inspires creativity eg:puting a viewing platform on that odd creasent in northwest USA is an amazing view, again just my opinion and a flat open space is very convenient too
Heel leuk gedaan👍
Great video evo! Love your JWE2 content!
Thanks a ton!
SW USA always struck me as Isla Pena on steroids and I guess that's why it was designed for Challenge Mode. I haven't built on all of the maps enough to rank them but if I had to list off my favorites from each biome it would be NW USA (Alpine/Taiga), SW USA (Desert), Pennsylvania (Temperate with Germany in close second) and Nublar 2015 (Tropical). I hope we do get more varied desert and tropical maps along with a new biome (Wetland or Savanna/Grassland seems the most promising) down the road.
I’ve currently only built two sandbox parks. One in Washington and the other in California. Yosemite is by far my favourite, as I was able to fit so much on the map. The mountains don’t bother me as I use them as natural barriers to conceal the different sections of my park, such as the carnivores at the back. Only complaint is that it doesn’t snow and instead has the annoying rainstorms, but I just turn them off.
I love them all but I like the bigger maps but they all are amazing I love your videos btw
My top 5 best maps in Jwe2 :
5. Sorna Site B
4. Pennsylvania
3. Nublar 2015
2. California: Yosemite National Park
1. Germany
Also I really love your videos. Can't wait for tomorrow's Stream.
Evo you are the best! ;P
I still love Germany also thank you for mentioning me for half a second
I love your videos and is the next isle live stream this Friday
The streams are always on Saturday :)
Scotland has one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe, it would be cool to see a map set in the Highlands, it could have its own Bri'ish storms and perhaps blizzards (depending how high up in the Highlands it is)
Also they should make a map that kinda looks like red dead redemption 2, it could be a MASSIVE map and it would include multiple environments and plenty of natural scenery.
I’m late, but today I unlocked northwest us, uk, southwest us and all of the campaign, im just so proud so I wanted to check in on your opinion
Nice Video
"There it is.."
*journey to the island fanfare blasts*
I would love more temperate maps. Another cool idea is that we get a customizable sandbox map, with a similar layout to Isla Nublar from Jwe1 but with the ability to customize what biome it is.
Contrary to your opinion, I actually love the Arizona map. I love doing oasis type parks and the trees really make up for the lack of grass (I do have expanded foliage mod tho). I love that I can make plateaus and they’re just so convincing and natural in a desert biome
i honestly love southwest usa, i made a park where the dinosaurs are freeroaming and there are a few circles with atractions and amenities connected with tours, some even have smaller tours for gyrospheres, if you like this kind of parks this map is quite nice actually
edit: the trees do suck tho
Yosemite was a good map. I did my first build on it about a week ago. I'm on PS4 so eventually size becomes too much for my PS4 to handle. So i ended up having to cut the build short. If you don't go overboard with decorations, believe me I do go overboard you may not have this problem. But aside from that it was definitely my favorite build I have done.
First like, comment, and view. Keep up the good work and stay safe as always.
Nublar 2015 is my favorite, based entirely on its size and shape. I DESPISE those hill things, but being a dino fan, I also love being able to have all the species, which Nublar 2015 will allow.
My favourite to build on atm is 2015. Only because it has the best variety in foliage and terrain brushes. But if they fixed sandbox to allow them to be used on all maps then Yosemite would definitely take the win. But atm the lack of variety in trees kills it for my builds
I love Nublar 1993, it will always be the og, but I can’t help but be impressed at the sheer size and grandeur of Yosemite.
Sorna is my favorite map... It's tropical, so you get the movie nostalgia. It's by the beach, so you get the aesthetics and vibe. I personally lean heavy into the resort vibes for that reason... I imagine people lounging at the beach when they're not gawking at the dinosaurs. Finally, I like the sectioning... The first section is kind of like park facilities given the airstrip, try to press all the facilities up against that airstrip. It's also an arrival point with tour vehicles bringing guests to center point which is kind of like the dinosaur free roam area. Just let em do what they do. The third tiny area lends itself to a lagoon or aviary. Love Sorna.
I would still love to see the map generation that jpog had
I like Nublar 93 because I think the three distinct areas give you the ability to build your power plants and other infrastructure away from the main park, as well as gives you a large area to place your carnivores away from the rest of the animals and main park, which is a realistic and useful security measure.
It feels the most real of the various locations.
I do agree that, as a map for Sandbox, Southwest US is a nightmare, but I did enjoy the challenge of it in Challenge Mode, but that's about it.
For me, The two Nublars are my favorite, with 1993 only coming out ahead because the 2015 map is slightly off center, and that annoys the hell out of me. Germany is a close 3rd, but I really didn't enjoy the Challenge Mode associated with it.
I definitely feel like nostalgia played in a part of 93 winning I would have voted for 2015 nublar for the simple fact that it's the island but shrunken down if you look at the shape of the buildable area
for desert maps i like to theme my parks like an oasis, lots of water spots and jungle style vegetation (forgot the name , new to the game lol)
I do enjoy the desert maps, as 70% of the parks I’ve made are in Arizona, only because Dinosaurs have no Forest requirement and the camera doesn’t do that instant zoom out.
I love Arizona and I like how desert Biomes are easier to work with because the Dinos don't have Forest needs
Actually, I voted quite unfair, because in the time of voting, I haven't played on Germany map yet and now I can say it Is beautiful (so is Pennsylvania or California, I love them). BUT STILL, in my oppinion, Nublar 93 is just LOVELY! I also played the chaos theory twice and I know the map - and I love every bit of it. Not only the waterfall, but also the helipad area, those mountains - and that foliage is just soo vivid that, actually, tropical biome is one of my favorite biomes in the game :)
I think Oregon is quite a nice map, my current park is Oregon but that is mainly because I only have the campaign maps. I can't wait to get germany
2015 Nublar is my favorite. It’s inland, it’s got a big building space, it doesn’t have a lot of blocking areas or narrow areas.
I personally love desserts, simply because I live in B.C Canada and I like seeing a biome that I dont really get to see very often
Evo will you be doing another “ battle of the builders” for the new year I really enjoyed those videos. Keep up with the Great content
Yes! I want to do one for if/when we reach 100K, that will hopefully be this year :)
@@EvolutionSquare Yeah I hope so I love your channel you inspire me to do a lot in my parks!
@@jacktheparkbuilder1077 Same
The new dominion biome is really nice
I hope that if they manage to increase the maps they all get updates to make them bigger.
4:56 Personally, I wish we could've also got an alternate map based on Isla Sorna 1997 from The Lost World, with the primordial Red Woods and some easter eggs such as the Stegasaur stream, the worker village and the long grass.
P 11 for good ol' blighty. UK is one of my favourite maps. I'm English so probably biased towards it 😂
It's great for smaller builds with minimum dinosaurs , all UK based of course 👌
FYI sunsets over the white cliffs looking into the sea are beautiful.
I knew from day one most people would actually pick Nublar 1993.. simply because of the film
This is so dope
Woooooo! My home state won! Yosemite National Park IRL is one of the gorgeous places in the west coast if you haven’t been camping there, I would 100% recommend it.
Speaking of home state, I’m going to start begging Frontier to add a map somewhere in North Carolina and I will never stop until it happens. Lol
@@dibble1331 noice
I love it
Hey evo, think it would be a cool idea if you made a dilo speed exhibit build, where you could create a swamp like biome.
With the isla sorna map, the crashed plane from JP3 is at the end of the runway
As queen of puns, I'm disappointed you said the "the Desert biome is a bit... dull" and not "The desert biome is a bit... dry"... but don't worry, it is forgiven :D
Top 3? Pennsylvania, San Diego, and then... probably North-West USA? It's a pain to build on but the view is stunning!
ooooohhhhh that hurts! I missed a pun!
SHAME. SHAME.
I thank you for your forgiveness, I do not deserve it
I currently play on the Yosemite map with expanded maps mod and its so huge
San Diego is probably my favorite map, because as a child my family would go to this resort not unlike Sand Diego’s terrain. The first thing I did after beating JP2’s chaos theory (second easiest after JP3) was build a park inspired by the resort.
Also I hate the time of day. It feels too… sunset/rise on Nublar 2015. Rarely do you see the bright day.
Make a day and night park using the shadows of the mountains.
They should add a Australia/Tasmania map. I would love to play around with gum trees and near a major city such as Sydney or Hobart or in the distinctive mountain ranges of Tasmania.
I should send that to frontier.
I still don't understand how Nublar 1993 won! My favourite would probably be Germany or San Deigo/Arizona. I haven't really built a sandbox park and want to build one in one of the new biomes.
*diego
but yes, i feel the same as you
if they would add a mappack witha flat map like nublar 2015, but one for all biomes , i think most people would buy it
heres a idea for california build: around the largest mountain you can make a arrowhead shape by using a path around it
Interesting well time to start making a park there LMAO
Its a shame the mountains on the jurassic world nublar shadow out some much, i always like spectating the dinosaurs and i can't imagine it looking to pleasant when you have cool looking dinosaurs or building in the darker lighting. Its the reason why i gave up trying to unlock it and went with the Pennsylvania map instead
I just love the Canada map because of how it looks with the trees and snow
I'm hoping they add a new biome in an update one day. That would be sweet.
Maybe Mantah Corps island with the swamp?
I'd like to see grasslands like the Great Plains or the african savanna.
I think a map that would be in like in Shanghai or Mumbai or both would be cool
GERMANY mainly because i was thinking about putting a laggon and the top over looking the beach and then have the shark feeder so when the guests see the mosa eating the shark they have the beach in the backround
I like nublar 2015 and 1993 because there massive!
My new computer got here so I can *finally* experience this game and all of it's glory for myself
Update: It's so much prettier in person than it is on UA-cam
they are all Desert, Forest or Jungle; I think we are missing some "tropical dry" climate; you know, the one high on bushes, grasses and sparse trees... maybe a reserve in Africa or Mexico (even Argentina or Chile) , I think some of our Sauropods and Ceratopsians would appreciate them, but especially the "Jurassic Tour" trucks would feel really at home there...
that said; do you think we are lacking architectural styles?
a good addition to the "tourist" or "adventure" feel of the stores or attractions would be some "Log house" buildings, like the ones they use at ski resorts, or a Neo-Classical "Lockwood Estate" style, for some operations or control buildings, as well as customizable stores... , especially for those fancy "french gardens" you make
Does the Pa park have any seasons except fall? Asking because every time I see it in a video it has fall foliage on the trees.
I never played the first game so that's the reason I think nublar 1993 is one of the best maps. But I also would love to have an Australia map.🇦🇺
The best map of all is still Nublar from the first game. Every map in JWE2 makes me miss Nublar from the first game more.
¿Cual nublar? Te recuerdo que en el primer juego habían 3 mapas de nublar
Love your content!!!
Thank you!!
The Tropical maps are the best, they work best for Jurassic Park/World builds and just look amazing with Dinosaurs.
I don't think we were tired of Tropical so much as the one shade of green.
The Tropicals looks way better now and are well complimented by the various ground leaf/fibers and fruit & nuts tools.
I do like the other maps, mostly. Germany is great and I love the size of Yosemite, just wish it had a secondary/fuller tree option.
I've said this once, I've said this a thousand times. Please, please, please can we have a Yosemity sized Tropical Island before this game is EOL.
Ohhh yes, just to add to the appeal of Nublar 93 for me.... it look damn good during Storms! Actually, it has the best looking storms.
Late to the party, but here to give you vieeewwsss!
eyyy thanks! ;)
The big reason I can justify my love of desert maps is my masochistic need to keep comfort needs on and making sure I've got 5 stars in sandbox. Not having a forest need is a huge boon with herbivores. And maybe it's because the Jurassic park 93' chaos theory mode was such a pain for me but I despise nublar 93' and have no idea what people find redeemable or fun about building on it other than a waterfall off in a little semi usable portion of the map that you can't really showcase or build an exhibit around. Germany is the goat for me, followed shortly by San Diego. Though it's important to note that I'm apparently allergic to the idea of campaign in this game so I have literally none of those maps and seeing Pennsylvania 1000 times over being it's claustrophobic, stuck in perpetual fall with a busted vibrancy setting has kind of removed me from wanting to, though that's probably due to being born and raised in new England so "tree change color 🤤" doesn't really appeal to me the way it may for folk who don't see new England's fall as the bi polar unpredictable psycho that it is
Aw damnit, Arizona is one of my favorites.
Jurassic Park is my favorite movie in the franchise. Not surprised that map was # 1, even though I think the Germany map is the best in terms of lots of building space and being able to build on the beach.
southwest USA looks good for a tour-only park(as in you can only see the dinosaurs by tour)
I think we need a dlc which could just add new maps at some point. We have like 8 alpine maps and 3 of each other type. New biomes/unique maps would be cool. Like how Nevada is just an alpine map but constantly snowy or how biosyn valley is alpine but completely different (still waiting on frontier to replace the redwood brush on sandbox biosyn valley to make it place down the burned forest)
Germany is massive and looks great tbh
22:58
82 days since the game launch and EVO is already talking to trees
Without mods it’s Germany. With the expanded borders mod it’s Oregon. I love building up in the hills and across the river
I'll list my favorite maps by biome.
Alpine: NW America, honestly I love the layout. Its the only alpine/taiga map that actually feels like you're building in the mountains with all the challenges that presents. That said, Yosemite might take the spot depending on my mood.
Desert: Arizona, I don't much care for the San Diego map so a nice flat map with a lot of buildable area is all I need out of the desert biome.
Taiga: Washington, I love the valley feel of this map; but overall the Alpine biome is just the better version of the Taiga so if I was to rank all of these in order Washington wouldn't be up high.
Temperate: Germany, as pretty as Pennsylvania is, the Temperate biome is my favorite of the new additions and I want a thicc space for a nice big park.
Tropical: Nublar 2015, duh.
I like maps with weird shapes and small unmodifiable mountains and hills, because they help make the park morphologically interesting with a level of depth that terrain modification tools can't reach. Maps that are just huge blobs with no personality don't inspire me.
Claro, que "interesante" que es tener un montaña innecesaria de mierda que obstruya la construcción y limitando tu creatividad
@@manuelsimoes1245 bro calm down he can like his maps ok so pick on somebody else
Ok, this is just the ones I played in Sandbox and Challenge so far:
1) Pennsylvania (most beautiful map and big open space)
2) Nublar 2015
3) San Diego
4) Nublar 1993
5) NW USA
6) Germany (mediocre-looking outside the beach, and all that size is spread length-wise and still feels constrictive to me as a result)
7) Canada
8) SW USA (Sorna 93 2.0.)
My favorite is Germany and the United Kingdom and I want to get the game for my Xbox I can’t wait to get it!!
I was so mad when i saw alpine. Basically its taiga with no snowstorms. They should have added a wetland or tundra
On Isla sorna I'm sure that there is the compy beach from the lost world
California square map is peak, I love building g biomes and stuff like tundras and deserts so I love to build on it
Important Question: If he is so obsessed with gnomes, then why is he not affectionately nicknamed Gnomar?
He?
