  • Are you ready to decorate that Christmas tree??
    Looking for a quick easy and fun way to add some new decor to that tree? It only takes some pattern paper, a bit of glue and you will have the most gorgeous 3D snowflake ornaments!!!!
    Today Shannon shows us how to make gorgeous 3D snowflakes that will make the tree festive!
    And the best part ... you can get up to 40 ornaments form one paper pack!!! So gather up those supplies and let's create!
    ~Measurements~
    You will need to start out with some 12 x 12 double sided pattern paper.
    Cut that paper into 6 x 6 squares and then cut that into 12 strips at 1/2" x 6

    Very cute! Love this idea. As I live alone and have two cats now, I don't put up a tree. I could make these and put them all over the house. I think that would look very festive. Probably drive my cats crazy though!

    Swedish stars. Love these!! I have some 6x6 Christmas paper that I am tired of making cards with. After I make tags out of diecut shapes I've already made, I can make some of these to tie on to packages..

    Oh these would be cute to add a rosette in center with a flower, moose or snowman, maybe in a buffalo check. i really like this snowflake! Nice job Shannon and MayMay

    I have made these for several years and built up a stack, instead of using them as ornaments I used them as decorations on Christmas presents. Everyone loved them and said it made it a double gift. Thanks for the fun of watching. X

    This is so adorable. I have alot of scrap paper that can be cut down to 6 x 6 and also the pads. I wonder if it would work if I sprayed the paper with some of my embellishment spray, use some Mousse. I'll also do some random stamping like on background paper.

    A smaller version would be great also. Several sizes on a tree would be beautiful. Figuring out the math might be problematic!

    A variation of the “snowflake” for Easter could be to elongate the center lengths so that you have a cross! You could use beautiful pastels and floral papers. You could punch a hole to hang as an ornament or door hanger or present on a card of some sort. They would be great little gifts at church on Palm or Easter Sunday. (Ooh….could some real palm leaves be used to weave?)

    Love the video and instruction. I have made a couple but have had frustration in that I tried 3 different glues and they still had a hard time sticking when you loop. I have to keep holding it or waiting for each corner to dry. Is there a special quick dry glue you use?

    I Forgot we used to make these in grade school. Of course, everything was pre-made- cuts and such. We just assembled. Wow, I feel older right this moment- however- Love Them. Thank you for sharing!!!
