Thank you for showing us these techniques again. With all the new stuff out on the market, some of the golden oldies get forgotten and we never use them again. Love this kind of video.
Hmmm...1. First/Second Generation, 2. Tone on Tone, 3. Faux Layering, and 4. Multi-Tone. I. Love. Them. All. Honestly, I was impressed with every one of them. The only one I've seen you do before is the First/Second Generation. I'm a new follower of your channel and I have been binge watching your videos! I so very much appreciate that you show techniques to new paper crafters as well as the more seasoned. ❤ Okay, I've decided that #2 is my very favorite but I will be using them all. THANK YOU!!
This is FASINATING! I am really new to this craft. That's why I've bought a few of your stamps! Thank you for this video, and this lesson. I obviously needed this!
When I first saw the card that had the rock & rolling technique with the music notes I thought the second generation stamping was vellum. Such cool techniques. Thank u. Have a great day.
Yesterday I tried spraying mica spray through a stencil and it turned out so pretty. I plan to do more of that. I also like heat embossing outlines and then watercoloring the inside, especially of flowers. But I like the look of the second generation with rock and rolling. Very pretty.
I appreciate this so much! While I'm an older crafter, I'm beginner level at papercrafts, so these older techniques are new to me. ❤ I'd love to see more videos like this!
Loved your technique reminders. I have been a stamper or around 30 years. Quite often do 2nd and 3rd generation. Haven’t done the rock n roll in a long time. I do tone on tone a lot. I have a similar technique I do a little different to your faux one. The multi colour technique is really cool. Thank you so much for your videos they are always so happy and uplifting. Something we all need these days. 🥰
I'm a stamper, paper crafter and just a crafter in general. I have loved crafting for years but my favorite is paper. I love making cards and mini albums. There's no way to remember all the things you can do with some paper, ink and stamps. I really enjoyed this video. I'm thinking about making a file or box with index cards of ideas of the different techniques. So many times I need inspiration. Thank you for the video! It reminded me of a couple ideas I haven't tried in a long time.
Thank you for reminding me of these great techniques! I love the techniques you show. I have been crafting for over 40 years, but just started stamping
I’ve been doing this a long time and never heard of the rockin’ and rollin’ technique!! Kiss stamping would be fun with your large Christmas sentiment and the music sheet background.
I’ve been stamping for many many years and know these techniques, but love getting refreshed on them. You always explain everything so well and thank you for that.
I'm just loving getting crisp results with my black versamark Clair! Finally I'm getting the best results ever! I'm actually using all the glorious stamps I've bought over the last few years that gave bitter results with my favorite color, early espresso. I still love that colour, though.
Omgoodness these are great ideas! There have been a few times I mistakenly put the stamp on in the wrong direction to get the blob, now you showed me it wasn’t necessarily a mistake!! Thank you Maymay!
My favorite technique is using multiple colors on a stamp. I often wondered how that was done & now I know. I think the end result is so cool. Thank you for another great video.
Thank you for doing these kinds of videos. I am gonna have to get my stamps out and practice these techniques. I am also definitely gonna have to purchase some more colored inks. Have a wonderful day
Thanks for the techniques. I have done the rock and roll before, use second generation quite a bit, but not together. I have never turned my stamp backwards to stamp for a shadow. Thanks for showing these fun techniques today.
I love it when we can re learn things with a twist. Thanks for the inking reminders. The versamark ink technique was one of my first learning in the card making world. I remember thinking Wow! That’s neat.
Hi Maymay! As always another wonderful video! Some of these techniques, I have never heard of, so thank you for sharing!!! I am a new member to the Stamp Club, as of today, 😀 and I can’t wait to get my first stamp!! I love all of your videos, and watching you create! You bring lots of inspiration to me, so keep those projects coming!
I love the first combination; I haven't seen that one before. I love the way the sentiment stands out! I would love to see a Happy Birthday to you (or something like that) stamp like your favorite Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I love that one too.....Oh good grief, did I say love enough in this comment..... 😊💖
This is a great video! Thanks so much for sharing your incredible talent. I never have used or seen these techniques before so I learned something new today. Blessings and Hugs from Canada.
Love these reminders!! I have an idea: after you make your design with your favorite sentiment, (the red second generation and green rock and roll), clean off the stamp then reink with versamark and restamp. Use clear embossing ink to give the entire image a glossy look!
Thank you for sharing a different way to stamp. I am just coming back to stamping again after giving all my supplies to schools to use..what are the basic stamping supplies I can start with..👍👍
I have been stamping for so many years and never knew about Versa Claire ink. I have the versamark inks and haven't used them much for the same reason as they are not for detailed stamps. Looking to add Versa Claire in my stash.
Great techniques! I love that 2nd gen/rock and roll result. That is gorgeous! I need more practice with using multiple colors in a stamp. Sometimes it comes out ok but sometimes it gets muddy. I love using stamps and stencils to make backgrounds. The hard part is using them lol.
Masking looks so good, but seems difficult. Love using tone on tone, rock and roll, and ombre. The shading one gets used the least, but it also is a cool technique.
Thank you for this! Wish you’d revisit the We Are Memory Keepers cutting tools too… have a drawer and it’s shut because beyond demonstrating how to use the tool and how great a buy it is - I never see anyone using those tools. Please consider it Maymay?
Good to know these. Suggestion Maymay....do a video or a series on cardmaking before the year...oh I don't know...say 2010 or 2006. Wouldn't that be fun?🙂
I'm new to your video's . I'm also new at scrapbooking / card making, so I'm just starting to collect supplies for this fun craft. I have some links, but have never seen the ones you used in this video Could you please guide me as to where I can find the supplies you were using in this video. I love thse techniques & how well you explain how there done❤ thanks for sharing.
I have been stamping for over 30 years and TWO of these techniques were new to me! I'm surprised and pleased. Thank you for teaching me something new!
Thank you for showing us these techniques again. With all the new stuff out on the market, some of the golden oldies get forgotten and we never use them again. Love this kind of video.
I had never seen any of these techniques before except for the multi colors on one stamp. So very cool!! I love them all!!
I had NO idea you could stamp second gen and rock 'n roll on the stamp for to make a lighter center. I learned something today! Thank you!
Hmmm...1. First/Second Generation, 2. Tone on Tone, 3. Faux Layering, and 4. Multi-Tone.
I. Love. Them. All.

Old school multicolored stamping is also coloring on your stamp with different colored Memento markers, “huff” on it, then stamp with it.
I've not seen these techniques before. More! please. Thanks, MM.
I remember using a red rubber stamp with velvet and an iron to impress the image on the velvet.
Me too, wow that makes me feel old lol🇦🇺❤️
Dee Grunig would do that technique on the Carol Duvall show. Loved those 2 ladies.
Ooohh yeah! I forgot all about that! Beautiful!
That was a beautiful technique! Have to find some velvet now!
Inking embossing folder, wet embossing and embossing metal with powders & heat tool for embellishments! Thanks for sharing these techniques!
This is FASINATING! I am really new to this craft. That's why I've bought a few of your stamps! Thank you for this video, and this lesson. I obviously needed this!
Wow Maymay, I'm a relatively new stamper so these are new to me. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦
Very fun ideas and, yes, some had slipped my mind. Thanks so much for sharing.
I've been stamping for years and never thought of trying that rock and roll technique!
Thank you for sharing these wonderful ways of stamping. 💙
I learned something new from this video. Can't wait to test them out. Thank you
I was just making Christmas cards yesterday and double colored a stamp. I will try the second generation and rock and roll technique. Thank MayMay!
Yeah it’s really nice Deborah... you should try the second generation and rock and roll😁 May God strengthen and bless you more
When I first saw the card that had the rock & rolling technique with the music notes I thought the second generation stamping was vellum. Such cool techniques. Thank u. Have a great day.
Thank you and would love to see more forgotten techniques
Thank you. Yes I need to get my stamps out again.👏🥰

Yeah it’s very nice, Barb Thompson you should try the second generation I think it would be nice more
I love versa fine inks, they come out crisp and clear
Thank you Maymay for showing us the style of stamping.
I love the older techniques! Thank you for teaching them. I never thought of turning the back of a stamp into a background stamp. Nice!
I appreciate this so much! While I'm an older crafter, I'm beginner level at papercrafts, so these older techniques are new to me. ❤ I'd love to see more videos like this!
I love the tone on tone backgrounds. Could you please do a video where you make cards with those? I'd love to see more! Thanks!
I am loving this rock and rolling technique! I love the 2nd generation technique, too!
I like the tone trick with the color that is similar. Thank you.
Loved your technique reminders. I have been a stamper or around 30 years. Quite often do 2nd and 3rd generation. Haven’t done the rock n roll in a long time. I do tone on tone a lot. I have a similar technique I do a little different to your faux one. The multi colour technique is really cool.

I thoroughly enjoy your videos! You offer so much information, it’s clear and detailed, and exciting to try myself. 😁 Thank you!!

I haven’t seen these before! Amazing 🎉❤️
I'm new to all of this and these techniques are so awesome! Thank you so much for sharing!
I like using the embossed first and add water coloring on top
Wow, you’ve given me confidence to get out side my comfort zone to try different things ♥️
These are neat. I need to make more and better use of my stamps for backgrounds.
Omgoodness these are great ideas! There have been a few times I mistakenly put the stamp on in the wrong direction to get the blob, now you showed me it wasn’t necessarily a mistake!! Thank you Maymay!
CUTE! I would never have thought up that generation inking, how neat.
Such fun techniques!

Love all these ideas💕
What a terrific idea- thanks so much - I forgot how to do this - it’s so easy & fun to do.
How many times have I stamped the “wrong” side of the stamp!!! Now I know it was a possibility not a mistake.
You know, there’s really no such thing as a “mistake”… it really is just a design feature, waiting to happen! 🌹Rosie of Oz🇦🇺 & 🐶Omega the Cavalier🐶
Loved this such a good reminder. I like to use water base ink on a stamp then spritz with water for a dreamy effect or watercolor look. Keep stamping.
This is a great video! Thanks so much for sharing your incredible talent. I never have used or seen these techniques before so I learned something new today. Blessings and Hugs from Canada.

So fun!
I love doing this technique especially for spring cards. !!
Such great techniques that I never think to use! Saving this for future use! Thank you!
Gonna try these.

These ideas are beautiful. I’m doing your wood plank right now.
