Thank you so much 😊! I will definitely see what I can come up with, I just picked up a tree today I’m going to paint an aluminum color to use until I can get my hands on a real aluminum tree so I will need some more ornaments I’m sure!
I could have watched another hour of you creating these vintage ornaments. Absolutely fantastic! These are what I grew up with during the 1950's and 60's. I love the vintage book images these were books I actually read. The sheet music scrolls were one of my favorites. The colors were just perfect on these ornaments. I copied all the images snd being that I dont have a printer I'm going to have to print them at Walmart. No matter I really want to do these for myself this year. Thanks so much for this video that truly brought me back to my childhood Christmases. ❤❤❤
Aww, thank you so much 😊 this made my night! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and that it brought back good childhood memories! However, I can’t take all the credit because my dad let me pick his brain on what Christmas looked like when he was growing up in the 50’s-60’s, so he definitely inspired a lot of these! 💜
As a first time viewer and now a subscriber, I loved all the ornaments. As a child growing up in the 50s and 60s, I remember many of those images. I will definitely be making some of these ornaments to add to my vintage tree, decorated only with glass ornaments from the 50s and 60s. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.😊
Thank you so much and welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed these. I can’t take 100% credit for all of them because I did spend time picking my dad’s brain on what Christmas looked like when he was growing up in the 50’s and 60’s so he was definitely an inspiration for some of these! 💜
This by far is my most favorite Christmas video this season!!! Thank you for all the inspiration ❤ I have been making some vintage ornaments the last 2 years and these are going to be some of my favorite to make this year. I never imagined I'd be a tinsel and glitter girl but I just got this desire for the nostalgia decor of my grandma's house. I actually was just checking out the 4ft silver tinsel trees on Amazon earlier lol Go big or go home 🤣 right lol
Aww, thank you so much 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and it inspired some new diy ornaments for you! I had way to much fun making these and just had to make myself stop 😂! I’m am definitely not a glitter or tinsel girl normally but I feel like it’s a must for good old fashioned vintage decor. I actually just picked up a 4ft tree today that I’m going to paint with some aluminum colored paint to use until I can hopefully find a real vintage aluminum tree and color wheel 😂
You are amazing! Every one of these ornaments is perfectly, adorably vintage. I love your clear, concise instruction style. Thank you for all the free printables and for combining all these ornaments in one video. I hope we get to see a picture of your vintage tree when it’s decorated.
Aww, thank you so much, I really appreciate that! 😊 I was worried it was going to be to long of a video so it’s nice to hear that y’all are enjoying all the ornaments being in one video! I will definitely share a picture of my tree on my community page once I get it up and finished. I picked up a tree today I’m going to paint an aluminum color to use until I can hopefully find a real vintage aluminum tree 💜
I am so happy I found your channel. You really create the most beautiful things. Vintage and retro christmas DIY's are my favorite and you really capture that well.
Thank you so much and welcome! Glad to have you as part of my little UA-cam family 💜 I have not done a lot of vintage or retro DIYs but I have done a few for Christmas and one video that’s vintage Halloween and I absolutely love making them. I will for sure be doing more in the future. I can’t take 100% credit for some of these since I picked my dad’s brain for quite some time on what Christmas looked like when he was growing up in the 50’s-60’s so he definitely inspired some of them 💜
In kindergarten we made salt dough ornaments. When I brought it home my dad helped me paint it and it lasted well into my 20s until we had a roof leak and it got wet. Can't wait to make salt dough cookie ornaments with my grandbaby when he gets older.
I had been looking everywhere for vintage ornaments to bring back the best and especially DIY projects and you became my new FAV UA-cam channel of all time! thank you!
I went to Hobby Lobby today and bought a bunch of fun supplies (on sale). I can't wait to make some of these!! I will LOVE them forever!! Thanks for this video again! I love watching it! The nostalgia gets me everytime!
Miss mama you have definitely brought back some beautiful memories of when my grandparents and great grandparents used to wrap their gifts with these very same looking tags and the thin ribbon and I’m actually having an old fashion Christmas cry right now because you have definitely brought my grandparents and great grandparents and the tradition of our family right back to meI can’t thank you enough for this you truly have a vantage heart and I beg you I implore you please keep these videos coming because they are in my heart. Thank you. You have a very happy Thanksgiving very merry Christmas and a very safe and happy new year.❤
Oh my goodness, thank you so much! This really means a lot to me for you to share this, it sincerely brought a tear to my eye! I have done a couple other vintage decor diy videos in the past one was Halloween and the other another Christmas, I will definitely be doing more in the future as well! I hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas 💜
I had to do some research to make these and I have to give my dad the majority of the credit for the inspiration since he let me pick his brain about what Christmas looked like when he was growing up in the 50’s-60’s. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it 💜
I love vintage ornaments. I can't wait to make some of these. I grew up in the 60's and these bring back memories. Thanks for making these and making the instructions simple to follow. Happy crafting and keep up the good work
Oh my goodness you have brought me back to my childhood. I loved each and everyone of your ornaments ❤ I work with Alzheimer’s patients and I will most definitely be making these with them. I can’t wait to see your tree decorated with all your beautiful ornaments !!! Thank so much for sharing your printables!!
Thank you so much and you are very welcome for the printables 😊! Oh I bet the patients would really enjoy making some of these. I lost my grandmother to dementia a few years ago so those patients touch my heart 💜! I will definitely post a picture on my community page when I get it decorated, I picked up a 4ft tree today that I’m planning on painting silver to look like a vintage aluminum tree until I can find a real one!
Your instructions are clear, items quick to make & esp love how you show the supplies used AS the ITEMS ARE BEING MADE- instead of as a side note. Great ornaments!!
Cute! I made a similar looking snowman head ornament years ago using Snowtex as well. Only I made my nose out of polymer clay and I gave him earmuffs with pipe cleaner and pom poms. I may have used a glass ball ornament as the base instead of foam. It’s been so long I don’t remember for sure. It’s cool how people can have the same idea. I didn’t love mine, so I only made one.
Thank you 😊 ! Oh, he sounds adorable! I’m thinking I would have been happier with mine had I used clay for the nose and made it a bit smaller instead of the wooden one. It is pretty cool how great minds think alike especially when it comes to something creative and artsy!
Home made ❤❤❤ never understood why spend so much $$$$$$$ I loved sitting down with my children and grand children making cards and gifts ornaments ect ... we have a big box decorated in old Christmas cards to store treasured memories in... these are the memories children remember
Thank you so much! I will definitely post a picture of it on my community page once I get it up! I got the tree today that I’m planning on painting silver to use until I can finally get my hands on a vintage aluminum tree!
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I sure do love going to good old Google 😂 that made me laugh so now I’m going to giggle every time I head over there 😂
I love these vintage-inspired ornaments. My favorites are the clear round ornaments with the cut-out fronts, decorated with snow and little figures inside and silver tinsel covering the cut-out edges. They remind me of an ornament my brother made out of a half egg shell many years ago when he was in 1st or 2nd grade.
This is the best DYI craft video I have ever watched. No annoying music, fantastic thorough detailed instructions and step by step video. Everything is easy to follow and completely adorable. Thank you for so many ideas! Simply great!
Thank you so much 😊 they were all so much fun to make, I literally had to make myself stop making them or I would have ended up with a documentary instead of a tutorial 😂!
Time flies when you’re having fun!!! OMGosh!!! All were so nostalgic! Takes me back to my childhood and the five and dime stores! Thank you!!!! Please share your tree when decorated!!!
Thank you so much 😊! I definitely lost track of time making these and just had to make myself stop or I would have had a 3 hour video lol! I will definitely share a picture of my tree on my community tab once I have it up. I haven’t been able to find one of the vintage tinsel trees yet so I’m going to spray paint a cheap tree with aluminum paint until I can get my hands on a real one lol!
I’ve commented less than a handful of times on UA-cam in all the years I’ve watched videos. I had to comment on yours today. I love and always decorate with kitschy, retro Christmas decor. This video was exactly what I was looking for to give me some ideas to make homemade decor at home. Thank you, and Happy Holidays!
Wow, thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and it gave you some ideas 😊! I’ve never decorated a full tree of retro ornaments but I think I’m going to really enjoy it! I picked up a tree today that I’m going to spray paint an aluminum color until I can get my hands on an actual aluminum tree, I absolutely love them especially with the color wheels!
I truly love each and every one of these vintage ornaments! Your vision and execution was spot on and I can't wait to make many of these for myself. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with your UA-cam family!
Aah, Stephanie. You can never beat vintage style Christmas decorations. I loved every one of them. And they are so different from the boring stuff we see. Thanks for a fun time. I have to go shopping now. I missed where you got the round glass, but sort of flattened ornaments. It's perfect to use for a card/ornament for my caregiver. I have to get it without her seeing it too. I love creative people. I hope you show us more!
All lovely and easily understood ideas. Many of these would be fabulous gift ideas for younger children to make as gifts. But I’d totally make them as gifts myself for friends. Thank you for sharing your wonderful tutorial.
Thank you so much! I have to give a huge credit to my dad for helping with some of these ideas. He grew up in the fifty’s and let me pick his brain about what he remembered Christmas ornaments looking like 😊
My hat's off to you lady 👏👏👏...job WELL DONE 💖. I'm vintage so I know it when I see it 😉. Some of these transported me to a whole other time 💞. Although I can't pick 1 favorite, I will say I LOVE those music ornaments but the book cover ornaments got me all up in the feels! Love, love, love them! Thanks for sharing & Stephanie, take a bow girl, you earned it 💖.
Aww thank you so much Carla! I am so glad you enjoyed the video, I truly enjoyed making this one. I can’t take all the credit for this one because I did set down and pick my dad’s brain on what Christmas looked like when he was growing up in the 50’s-60’s so he helped inspire many of these! Happy Holidays 💜
Thank you so much 😊! I will definitely post it on my community page once I have it up and decorated. I actually just picked up a tree today that I’m going to paint with some aluminum colored paint to use until I can hopefully find a real vintage aluminum tree and color wheel 💜
I, too, am decorating a vintage tree this year, although I have original 50's ornaments for mine (courtesy of my late mother-in-law). I did want to tell you my favorite is the first three you made.
These were amazing! Thanks for sharing with us. I did snowmen salt and pepper shakers a few years back. Filled with jewelry pieces. I made noses out of polymer clay so they were the correct size. I used black fish tank gravel as my coal.
These are all great! I especially liked your book ornaments and the plastic vignette ornaments. Great idea to cut the openings with a hot knife, I’ve looked for plastic ones with openings like that but never considered that I could cut them. And I have to say the top hat from felt and shower curtain rings is brilliant! The only change I would make is to use some orange polymer clay to make the nose for your styrofoam ball snowman. It would probably be cheaper and you could make it custom sized. I’m definitely going to try some of these, thanks for sharing 💕
Thank you so much 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I actually was going to buy some diorama ornaments from Amazon until I realized it would be much cheaper and faster to just cut some cheap plastic ornaments and my husband recommended trying my hot knife and it cut them like butter. I definitely think making a clay nose would have been better, I probably would have liked it more!
Many of these remind me of my childhood also. I dearly miss so many of my family members no longer here with many fond memories of Christmas past. I've used those bead necklaces on ornaments before. I use a nail clipper to cut the strings as it is curved and cuts closely to the bead. Thank you for sharing! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and that it was able to bring back some fond memories💜. It definitely made me stop and think a lot of my grandmother and all the Christmas memories growing up while making a few of these. Using the nail clippers is a wonderful idea, I had a time trying to get all of the string cut off the beads! Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Thanksgiving 💜
Thank you so much 😊! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and ornaments! This is my first year doing a vintage tree but I’m in love with it so far, I just picked up a tree today that I’m going to paint an aluminum color to use until I can find a real vintage one 😊
I loved all of these. I'm really loving the vintage theme this year. These are some of the best vintage ornaments I have seen. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me.
Theses were awesome. I need more vintage ornament ideas

Love the vintage look. Great job and look forward to making these for my ladies ornament exchange at church. Thank you for the image links.
I am just amazed how adorable each ornament turned out!! I don’t have a favorite and I want to make all of them!!!
Thank you so much 😊
Your ideas are wonderful. Everything is beautiful. I love retro. It brings back memories.
I can't pick a favorite.. I love them all!
Thank you so much 😊
Wow some of these are my fav of my childhood!! I lobe them all!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video 💜
These were amazing! Thanks for sharing with us.
I did snowmen salt and pepper shakers a few years back. Filled with jewelry pieces. I made noses out of polymer clay so they were the correct size. I used black fish tank gravel as my coal.
Thank u for sharing you brought back such childhood memories.
Thank you so much 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video 💜
I had that exact Frosty book in my childhood. 😂 Those mini book ornaments are so cute!
These just send me back in time, gorgeous!
Thank you so much! 💜
Loved Ornaments 5, 12 and 19. Thanks for sharing for ideas.
You are so welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching 😊
Amazing! I did a vintage tree during COVID and could have I used this video back then. LOL.
Thank you so much 😊! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and ornaments! This is my first year doing a vintage tree but I’m in love with it so far, I just picked up a tree today that I’m going to paint an aluminum color to use until I can find a real vintage one 😊
Super fun and cute. Will give it a try. Thank you so much.
The retro book covers would be great used on paper mache books!
There’s NO WAY I can pick a favorite 💗💗I love them all 💗💗
Thank you so much 😊 I’m so glad you like them!
Put another holly leaf|berries on the snowman hat tree topper. Really cute ideas!
