Waking up in time to cook is amazing! I roll out of bed at 5:30 drink as much coffee and tea as a man can handle then show up to work at 5:59 ready to break shit spectacularly

@@chinamon7870I’m in the same boat as the other guy but I have been a generator mechanic for a couple yrs before jumping into diesel mech. There’s a lot to learn on the job, learn the systems of every component and everything else comes with experience. Try to work efficiently, The heavy duty stuff is no joke, it’ll take a toll on ur body if u like to man handle ur way through. Also starting off I’d get a common set of tools then later upgrade to power tools that help u work faster and also get special tools that make the job easier. I’m still learning at the moment but I’m around my 7th month in. Still slow but slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Try to keep a clean and organized area. It makes u look more professional and also is less of a headache trying to find bolts that rolled away. And I guess the last thing is to always ask for advice if you are unsure of doing something the right way.

Before committing to school check to see if companies offer you school themselves. That’s how I became a diesel tech but you might have to start at a low level lube tech. All worth it imo.

My family basically has a hobby farm with a bunch of heavy machinery and a fleet of yearly 2000’s diesel Volkswagens and I don’t think you don’t have to be a heavy diesel mechanic to work on diesels, for me UA-cam is my best friend.

Did mechanics course for cars with college for 3yrs and wanted to work on cars but this year I got an apprenticeship with FedEx as a HGV mechanic. Lots of heavy lifting but it’s good pay. Hoping to stay with them for a few years then leaving once I feel like I have all the knowledge and parts info so I can do an office job somewhere in the mechanics line. Just because as a diabetic, lifting heavy things whilst managing my health, it’s quite scary and stressful if it’s not in the good range❤

Please don't swear. Let your yes be yes, or your no be no. It is written in Matthew 5:37. As a zealot, this could be comparable to being pricked after a heavily used wirebrush finds itself into your skin. Not only does it irritate one, but the brush itself was practically useless beside the fact.
