- High Tide (1947) Film noir full movie. In this suspenseful crime film the editor of a newspaper hires a private investigator to protect him during an investigation of the mob. The private eye discovers the truth about what's going on and the two men end up in a car wreck on the beach, with the tide slowly coming in. Broken Trout Movies In 2013 the UCLA Film and Television Archive, funded by the Film Noir Foundation, restored the film. The restored print was screened April 13, 2013, at the American Cinematheque's "Noir City: Hollywood" festival.
:) I remember watching this movie one late night with my mother back in the day while the rest of my siblings slept… ❤
Happy Times. God Bless 💗🙌
wow!... that was some hard core noir!
thanks...
🚬🍸😎
Lee Tracy at almost 50 yo. Not quite the rapid fire dialogue as he once was. Great to see him again.
These movies are so sophisticated
Compared to today
How come the villain in a film noir always kills people like they were ducks in a shooting gallery but only knocks the hero-detective over the head? Oh well, fun movie even if the plot has more holes than a brick of Swiss cheese. Lee Tracy is one of my favorite character actors. Sarcastic repartee became art coming out of his mug.
Don Castle deserved to go so much farther than he did. He had also been a screenwriter
and a producer. But his career was interrupted by being drafted into WW II; and when he
he reentered the motion picture industry, it was cut-off, because he overdosed (on an
undisclosed) medication. He died at the age of 48 years and 8 months. He is probably
best remembered for Roses Are Red -- which released one year before High Tide.
😀Good movie , I enjoyed watching this movie . 😀🍿🧈🧂🥤 Thank you 🍿🧈🧂🥤😍
this beginning reminds me of the movie quicksand. 1950.
That one was really good! Thank you, Trout!😍
He's now gozilla not trout.
Good movie and w/o Ads.
Another winner! Great story, with lots of twists. Thanks!
You are welcome @dalanmanbros8311
Good movie. I didn't recognize anyone in it. Good story and acting. Directing wasn't bad but the night scenes were difficult to follow.
This is different but somewhat similar to another great movie with Barbara Stanwyck(Jeopardy) where her husband is stuck under a pillar or something by the ocean and she tries to get help eventually from a criminal.
Jeopardy (1953)
Excellent and rare film noir. Interesting story and a fine example of this genre. Thank you for posting this film!
The actor playing Slade looks a lot like Ronald Colman
🔵BROKEN TROUT WHICH IS NOW GOZILLA DIDN'T FINISH THE MOVIE, DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT.🔴
Now if only someone could share the brilliant noir Decoy 1946 starring Jean Gillie as the most ruthless woman to ever lead a gang.
Magnificent story ❤❤
Thank you!
Youse can drop the be@ch. Malibu is just fine. Ha lo from Albania
Why did you have to spoil the ending in your description??
For the BASIC information and there's a way of telling what the movie is ABOUT without giving away the ending -- duh.
@@stevefrasier8269 Mary Beth Hughes shot salotzo in the head
It’s a flashback anyway. He hasn’t given anything away.
*DON'T READ THE DESCRIPTION*
@@EYE_GOTCHA I like to read the description to know if the movie will interest or appeal to me, just don't mention the detail about the ending ;)
Hm... but this obviously is not the restored print from Ucla. Looks awful 😐
I’ve never seen this movie before but more than likely with these type they'll be rescued in the end!
Jesus Jennifer.....it took about forty-three minutes into this muddle to even begin to get noir-esque.....Regis has too much narrative and there is too little intrigue...Anabel Shaw (Dana Jones) has the shoulder pads of an NFL lineman....the interiors are cheap and sloppy...and so, in my opinion....this is the "baseline" of film noir...the bottom at one and all others being judged from this.
You cant please all the people all the time! He went through a lot of effort to put this great movie up for you. This is a great B movie without Swarzeneggar doing cartwheels dodging machine gun fire.
Can you put up
“Follow Me Quietly “(1949)?
Can’t find it anywhere for free-and really seems like the kind of gritty very rare B style hour long Noir you would put up. Thanks for the ones you have put up on the Tube anyhow they are much appreciated man
Thanks for posting! My favorite genre. 🎦🎥♥️🍿🌚🎦🎥♥️🍿🌚🎦🎥♥️🍿🌚♥️🍿🌚🎦🎥♥️🍿🎦🎥♥️🍿🌚🎦🎥🎞️
