„Falling in love with playing again“ - great statement and probably a root source of energy. Thanks for sharing.

Would love for you to take us on tours of the different arenas, meet with some of the other band members and musicians. Not just Crowder but the whole WinterJam crew. I've never seen anyone do that with WinterJam. I'm a guitar player in praise and worship setting, and would love to see and hear the ins and outs on this tour. Also, plenty of gear, perhaps some other artists/musicians would be willing to show their setups and "rig rundown"...Love it!

Hey Michael, I’d love to see you interact with other band members in your vlog. That way they can help answer questions and even ways they prepare to go out in the road with you. Love your content. Totally understand why you need to weigh out making videos and balancing your time. As a content creator as well you’ve got to do what you need to do. We are all willing to wait for more videos my friend. But in the meantime don’t feel like it has to be perfect. You’re sharing your story with all of us.

It's probably more a one off video but I'd love to see just a tour of your touring gear. What's in your pelican cases, what instruments you brought and why etc...

Congrats on the new gig, I can’t imagine keeping all those instruments up and running (and in tune) every night, but I can’t imagine a more stimulating situation to be in. As a guy who plays one church gig a month, I’m just loving living vicariously through you right now. Share what you can when you can.

As others have said, I like the idea of you talking with other musicians on the tour and also a good look at your touring board (Helix plus ToneX, etc). I enjoyed what you told me about your dirty slide sounds after the Council Bluffs show last week and would also be interested in what your main tones are and how you go about doing things like the banjo with ToneX. Congrats on the gig, and first and foremost give yourself the time you need to stay healthy and happy! Ron

Awesome news on the gig man! It's crazy that I found the channel for one of my favorite Christian artists through Rhetts channel.
Backstage videos are cool. Some of my favorite guitar related content. Rig rundowns and interview with other musicians your on the road with would be cool too!

This is my first time commenting on your content. I will say as a former road warrior musician, life is harder when you're spread so thin over all of your tasks! I appreciate your honest transparency in this video very much. Keep doing what you can; it's still very interesting. Maybe some videos of breaking down a deeper view of your instrument rigs would be nice. I'm familiar with David Crowder, and what a blessing it is for you to be a part of his platform! Keep the humble faith alive in your heart Michael! This was a great video.

Nice to see you back! Congrats on landing the gig full-time. If Western Canada comes up on your itinerary let me know, I'd love to get out to see you guys play and maybe we could meet face to face.
How are you liking the ToneX pedals in a live situation. I'm lovin' the sound of the ToneX but have only used it for tracking. I put a couple captures of my Jagster amps up on ToneNet a while ago. Would love to get your feedback on them if you ever get the time.
I think releasing less often but ensuring the quality is there is a good idea. I really like your back stage videos and detailing the day to day. Would like to see more of that, plus the back end tech side of things. The live audio clips are really interesting too and make me search out the tunes.
I haven't been on a tour in quite a long time, those days are probably gone for me, so I get a real rush of nostalgia watching these. Thanks!

Michael, I love all your videos, but especially the gig videos. Every gig is an adventure, there's really not that much repetition. So I'm happy to have you keep making them to share your experiences where we can't always do the same things ourselves. Really happy to see you doing such great music with a great band. You deserve it, and thanks for sharing.

I’d love to see a vlog that does a super deep dive into your IEM mix. I’ve seen a lot of videos with basic concepts, but I’d be super interested in one that even got into what kind of processing is happening at the monitor console in addition to just your preferences for what you’re trying to hear most and where you’re placing it in the stereo field. Love the channel!

Great video again Micheal! I love videos just like this, but you asked for ideas! I like the idea of interacting with other band/crew members, telling some of their stories. Maybe more in-depth videos about what goes in to setting up a show like that/tear downs. Maybe something on what you and the others do during the time in between the shows. It would be interesting to know the structure of how things work during the actual show (is it all exactly the same each night?), all the different jobs that people are doing to put on a show like that. Sorry so long... just things off the top of my head. Thanks!

As a fellow multi-instrumentalist, I'd love to hear more about how you decide on which instrument for which song (if it isn't obviously dictated by the recording), as well as how you stay practiced on each instrument.

As much as appreciate the production and effort you put into all of your videos, even just simple fly on the wall stuff is great. Check out Matt Horn's POV drum tech videos. He literally just straps a Go Pro on and that's the whole video and they're really popular. Super chill to watch and I would imagine takes a little less effort to record/edit/produce while you're out doing your thing.

I understand that the part of each day on the road is the same, but that doesn't mean the footage or the music needs to be from one vlog episode to the next. Feature different songs in different vlogs, feature a bit of the town you're in if you can. You can also feature a different aspect of the routine like warmups, setup, teardown, bus stuff. Your tour vlogs have always been top notch so keep doing what you're doing!

For what it is worth, I happen to dig the less "contenty" kind of stuff. I dig the conversational style. What happens at various gigs... simple things like what we may think of about gigging (bathroom visits - I say that one because of a crazy gig story of mine from years ago)... maybe a gear failure story... lessons about learning to improv or play with others. Just talking about what is going on with you. 2 cents... no need to respond.

You are NOT obligated to entertain us. You should feel free to do whatever you like. The great thing about social media for creators and consumers is that a glimpse into another's reality has a resonance in another's life for a particular reason/season. If it's not both fulfilling and reasonable for a creator they need to reasses if it's a worthwhile pursuit. It's understandable that socials can provide a revenue stream, but at a certain point if there's no personal rest/refreshing there's nothing left to give. I know this is rambling, but "do "you" . Thanks for allowing us along for the ride for however long you choose to do so. As a side note: It's been a great mix of content both personal and professional and that is appreciated. It puts the human face to the industry.

Thank you, Michael. Video ideas: 5 minute-Hi-Lo of the week -highlights and messups; practice with Westbrook; Glamour Shots with Wes Butler; what-did-I-learn-this-week-video; don’t be afraid to do some shorts; a video of you practicing “All I Can Say” on dobro or steel and Crowder hears you and puts it back on his set list; “A Happy Harpist Gives a Toot - How-To-Harmonica with Michael”. Picture slideshow of you and others sleeping on the tourbus; “games we play on tour”; performing covers of Kansas tunes backstage with bandmates. Any of these in a short video format would be acceptable. Let me know what you think; none of these are copyrighted by me. As far as I know, they are original. Please mail an 8x10 glamour shot of you and Wes to SWBTS in Ft. Worth,Tx if you want more of these pure gold ideas.

Little ironic how many of these comments love the tour stuff, yet the video is about the struggles of making that stuff lol.
Obviously we all love it. So many people that follow you are musicians that dream of touring and just like to see the inside of it. It's hard to answer for everyone, but this is real dialogue you can have with your fanbase and I think that in itself is cool.
