Dude isn't just a great vocalist, but an incredible performer, and the way he moves combined with his outfits really makes it all believable. Maybe to some this may sound silly, but to me, he is like a black metal version of Alice Cooper.
I dont think its silly. I get where you are coming from. Or I think I do. He is not just there singing. He is giving you a feel, an environment, an experience. He is a showman.

Ordo ad Chao is amazing and I think Wolfs Lair Abyss is an incredibly underrated album also. I have seen mayhem perform at least twice (several years ago now) but they basically only played DMDS songs. Would love to see more variety.
He would call them posers but Euronymous was a “poser” himself. At end of the day, it’s BM and it’s subjective! It’s a sub-genre that has other sub-genres. Take it or leave it, that’s the attitude no matter what part of the scene we’re talking about🤘🏻 *I was thinking the same thing though.

Him fir more than an hour, thenl we realised me and my mate were last people and there was nobody elvse I coild ask. He done it wirthout batting an eyelid. A really good cunt as we Scots folk would say!

wolf's lair abyss, chimera, ordo ad chao and esoteric warfare - all mastepieces and yet they never play any songs from these... Shame.
They went on tour as Wolfs Lair Abyss when it came out and did the album as a whole with a few extra songs.
