- Prince Charles stood in for the Queen for the first time to open a new session of Parliament, after she had to pull out because of mobility problems.
The Queen was absent from the State Opening of Parliament for the first time in 59 years.
In the House of Lords, Prince Charles gave her speech outlining her government's priorities, listing the bills it plans to bring before MPs and peers.

And strengthen us to fulfil what we have promised you, O you who intervene between a man and his heart, as we only have Your mercy, You have decreed upon Yourself. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers. O Allah You have said in the clear verses of Your book:
(وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدۡعُونِیۤ أَسۡتَجِبۡ لَكُمۡۚ )
{And your Lord says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.}
[Shurah: 40 - Ghafir - Verse: 60]
So the Dua'a (supplication) and the repentance is from me, and the response is from You and You do not break Your promise. Exalted You are our Lord, your promise is true and you are the Most Merciful. O Allah give us the strength to fulfil what we have promised You to follow the global caller to Allah, the caliph of Allah on Earth the Imam Mahdi Nasser Mohammed Al-Yamani.O Allah, make the raising of him a blessing upon us and not a misery upon us because of our turning away from the call to the truth of the Imam Mahdi Nasser Mohammed Al-Yemeni”.
And whoever refuses this supplication surely the torment of the so-called Coronavirus will befall them."

I think that's why Americans are so fascinated with British Royalty; we really don't have anything similar. Even the office of the President is pretty austere, by design.

HRH Queen Elizabeth has done so much work in her reign - give her a break shes 96. It’s exhausting for a 96 yr old to be doing these duties and thats fine by me. I don’t even expect her to be on show through the platinum Jubilee which would exhaust anyone. If we see her that will be great but don’t expect our Queen to be sitting standing around all day. my 96 yr old mum used to get exhausted going to moorfields once every 6 weeks. it would exhaust her for 4-5 days.

Royal Highness is a title for people who are very close relatives (usually children & male-line grand children, though the rules have recently been changed in a number of countries) of a King or a Queen Regnant without actually being King or Queen themselves (and historically, for a very small number of sovereigns beneath the rank of king, the only remaining one of of whom in these days is the Grand Duke of Luxembourg).

People fail to understand that the nation was at war and food supplies were already low. He prioritised the effort on the home front. He also didn't neglect India. He sent supplies but many of the ports were blockaded by the Japanese. The droughts also played a part but that tends to be the easy get out response for hardcore nationalists. It's always best to look at these things objectively.
And in terms of him getting more credit than he deserves? I can't agree. He was the integral cog. Without him, victory would not have been a certainty.
I do agree it's always worth discussing these things though. There's far too great a tenancy to tear down heroic historical figures based on today's standards in my opinion.
