The best movie of Angelina Joliet’s entire career! And I’ll stand on that forever. Was a Launchpad to turn James McAvoy into a movie superstar and redefined the hard hitting action genre in my opinion. This is so damn good👏🏿
Despite the bad/outdated CGI I've always enjoyed this one. I love the style of it and the craziness of the action sequences and its easily one of the better roles for James McAvoy and Angelia Jolie IMO.
Compared to alot of the absolute crap that comes out nowadays wanted is basically a breath of fresh air, I've always enjoyed it and I'll take it over any superhero film over the past 5 years.
Its director Timur Bekmambetow also (he is Russian) did the popular Russian "Underworld"-inspired vampire fantasy horror "Night Watch" (2004) and its sequel "Day Watch" (2006) by the way.
They were bathing in parrafin wax, and while it doesn't heal you in that way, there have been studies to show that dipping pained and arthritic body parts such as arms and legs into paraffin wax is a legitimate way to treat the arthritis.
Me and you are the same when it comes to this movie although we disagree on one thing. While I like James McCavoy as an actor. I thought he was pretty miscast in this. I just couldn’t take him seriously as an action star. I think this movie deserved a better lead like a Keanu reeves or a Paul Walker
It works because he is supposed to be this nerd who doesn't believe in himself and isn't supposed to seem like an 'action' guy at first, but instead a office guy who you could believe a donut-eating lady could yell at. I couldn't believe a 'donut-eating lady boss' verbally putting down Keanu or Paul Walker.

But idk I didn’t really care for his character, I kinda wish he wasn’t a nerd and instead was just a ordinary guy like Thomas Anderson was from the first matrix before he became Neo Anyway my quick 2 cents on this film, I think this movie is just “OK” like a 2.5-3/5 film for me. It just reminded me of better action films like “Shoot em up” and “The Matrix” which I would just rather watch those if I want an over the top action film. Some of the action scenes can be fun but the other action sequences were just too ridiculous for my liking
It's odd as if they had just said the characters were 'super [anti] hero's', people would probably buy the outlandish scenes a lot more! I didn't watch it until long after it came out and I wasn't really engaged with the story despite McAvoy's solid performance. They were planning a sequel [with Terrance Stamp's small role in this a seed planted for it] with at least Jolie's character [maybe others] being resurrected but Jolie's reluctance to return pretty much killed those plans although it has been talked about occasionally by McAvoy and the director in recent years.
I just Rewatched Wanted, I Actually Quite Loved Wanted, Great Action, Well Written & Directed, Solid Cast, James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie & Thomas Kretschmann did a Good Job, Definitely 1 of my Favorites Of 2008, my Only Issue is Matt I do Agree Matt That Some Of the CGI doesn’t look the best & Still Put Other Over The Top Action Films Like The Crank Films, Shoot Em Up, Death Sentence, Transporter 1 & 2, & The Beekeeper Above It, But Still Love Wanted

Remake are Ok but those are my Least favorites of his

When I saw this in the summer that came out along with Hancock, my older brother didn’t like either of them. I mean I agree that Wanted is a little bit over the top and the twist might be a bit cliched but I like it. With Hancock well a bit of a different story but I can see why people would have problems with it. My father also didn’t like Wanted and James McAvoy in the film
Cool movie but the bullet getting flung in a complete circle like it’s a boomerang at the end was too stupid and it ruined the movie for me. Passengers is Chris Pratt’s best movie
I’m Not a Huge fan of James McAvoy, But I Like him I think he’s a Talented Actor, I Love Wanted & Deadpool 2 those are my Favorites Of his, I Like It Chapter 2, Split, & Last King Of Scotland those are my Least Favorites Of his, I just Dislike a lot of the other Films I seen Of his X Men 4, 5, 6, & 7, Glass, Trance, The Conspirator, Atonement, & Victor Frankenstein Those are his Bad Movies IMO

Jolie said her dying at the end was her suggestion so I do find it odd they announced she was doing a sequel when she was quite firm about not coming back which pretty much ended the plans. They wanted to bring her and Common back, probably via some nonsense with the wax.
I used to think this movie was okay but now I think the movie is CRINGE. The bullet curving is such a stupid idea. In no universe does that make any sense, not even in an over the top movie such as this

It had to be someone who's not a typical action hero really to sell the 'nerd' to 'badass' transformation so Reeves especially wouldn't be suitable.
