Freaking awesome! I’m about to pull the wife’s clutch on her ‘16 maxima. Got my fingers crossed the bearing comes off easy. I’ll take photos of the stater mount without the three screws. This kit has a second pin that looks like it fits the shaft grooves. Can’t find anyone’s video of the 2014-2020 version . Thanks for a great video!
Never showed the new install..?.
My 05 nissan semtra has ac but I lose lots of power when it's on and it's rattling bad. I thought it was my Trans or timing chain but once I drove with it off I realized it's my ac clutch making all that racket so I'm trying to figure out how to replace the ac clutch instead dof the entire unit.
My 2008 Nissan Note UK, pulley jammed on the electro magnetic actuator, so after standing 2 weeks I had black smoke from the serpentine belt, rusted inside the pulley, I’m just about to try refit. Seems to jam as it goes on but was hoping there’d be a install tool to draw it on straight.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU!!! for this video. I had to replace my magnet for the compressor on my wife's Nissan Murano and this video definitely helped me. Thanks again.
I'm stricken 06 ...excellent breakdown tutorial video of A/C compressor clutch components, this is very informative, well explained & straight to the point, & will help a lot of us do-it-yourselfers save time & money, so we can stop getting overcharged by these predatory a /c mechanics, I've got to change a non engaging AC clutch on an 03 honda element, watching this tutorial gives me the confidence to do so, thanks bro!
This helped me 0%. Howd u get the bolt off in the first place. Thats all im lookin for lol.
you dont know how to remove a bolt? if not, then you shouldnt attempt this repair.
T_On3 YaBoi Phimma , some have an Allen head, some have regular bolt head. Your situation is common, try heating the bolt with a propane torch first, and or cut a slot in the bolt head and use a large flat screwdriver. Hope this helps.
T_On3 YaBoi Phimma . Did one of these today. Broke the bolt off in old compressor. Just gave in and replaced the compressor.
ImStricken06 Perfect answer! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHHAAA!
TWeezyNDTraq I use a chain locking pliers to hold the spinning clutch while removing the center bolt.
Year? Make? Model?
Are you a binar?
Good explaing of the parts and complit job...👍👍👍👍
Great video! Rolled out just as you laid out. Thanks for the help.
What a frinking great videos
the 2006 altima ac compressor has a second ring clip to remove the magnet
Thanks for the video.
Just performed this job on my 2009 Nissan Rogue while leaving the compressor in (you can easily access everything behind the front passenger wheel). Everything went pretty quick and easy, however those three screws that hold on the magnet were a major pain in the ass. Really tough to remove without mangling the shit out of them. I used a manual impact driver to remove them (I had to use an extension to get the bit in there, though). You can buy one for less than $20 and it will remove screws effortlessly without damaging them.
how abou tthe pulley ? was it stuck and how did you get the pulley off ? did you use a 2 or 3 jaw claw ? or whats your method ? I have a nissan pathfinder that I will need to work on.. and am scared I will screw this up lol.,
@@grilledchickenwrap I just worked it off using a pry bar and mallet, spinning the pulley as I went. Make sure you remove the snap ring, otherwise it ain't coming off no matter how much you whack it.
@@Seismosis finally just finished mine today. I used a 2 jaw pulled from HF. Worked wonders…. Everything else was easy just very tight space…. Take time abs boom done.
This helped a lot to prepare for the job thanks!
Video helped me out did have to figure out u had to keep belt on to get the 1st bolt off but other than tht great video man. Thanks
Your intro is loud and ridiculous
Good video. Thanks for your help ! Stay Safe !
Great video! Where can I get the replacement kit for my 2019 Nissan NP300, Frontier?
Sorry, just so many strange things said during this video. Use a wheel puller to remove the pulley. You won't need to "bang" it on if you clean up the shaft before you install.
How did you go with 2 wires to one ,Does one go to earth and the other to the switch .my 2007 T30 only has one wire and the replacement has two ,How do I get this to work
I have a 2000 Nissan maxima and the A/C pulley pulley slips side to side. I don't want to buy a new compressor because this one blows ice cold. I've been told there is no hope to fix it and I must buy a new compressor. Is there any way to fix the pulley????
Best video so far. Very good sir!
great video and well explained.. can you recommend a good 2 or 3 jaw claw to remove the pulley ?
problem with mine is that the center bolt has nothing but a round hole so cant get any grip so il be using an extractor bit
1:15 how did you remove the bolt?
Mine just spins
found it here with the tools. ua-cam.com/video/8R9V7rtX0AY/v-deo.html
Tighten a hose clamp to the hub of the clutch plate with a 1/4" drive socket with a short extension. Position the hex head of the clamp screw facing down at 9:00 O'clock. Brace the socket with extension against the frame of the car. Hold it in place with your left hand; remove the screw with your right hand.
You use the same apparatus when tightening the bolt by place the clamp and socket at 3:00 O'clock.
@@galinstan5603 thanks. I managed to zip it off.
I have a 00 maxima, can this repair be done while the compressor is still on the car? I don't feel like taking it off and disconnecting the lines.
did you have the part number for the kit

U need a pulley puller to get pulley off
I have an issue with my ac system, i have 07 Infiniti G35 sedan. When I turn on my the A.C, the car and engine just completely stopped and look like some turn off the car. Every time happens when turn on the A.C. Any advice for this issue please?
I am thinking the problem with A.C compressor clutch or the stator.
Something is very seized. Might need a new clutch or might need a new pump.
Excellent video!!
Can you tell me where you purchased the new clutch and pulley? I can't find them.
amzn.to/2OQQCwm
Thank you. Good info
What year is this?
Why you did not show how to remove the clutch
Search my channel. I did
Good shit doc
Where can I get a clutch and pulley.
sorry about that. i fixed the link: amzn.to/2OQQCwm
Where did you buy the Clutch??

Can this be done without evac and removing the compressor? thinking about going through wheel well with gear puller.
Chad Ringstrom that’s exactly how I did it. Watch that video in my channel
I will look for it, thanks for responding on a 3 year old video :) Also thanks for taking the time to cover some of the steps, I could see myself loosing the shims, and now I know to look out for them.
Chad Ringstrom good luck. How many miles on your rogue?
ImStricken06 165k Km on the rogue. 69k on the 90’ z32.
Chad Ringstrom my 2008 rogue was falling apart after like 50k every 15k it was something significant. Ac clutch, tie rod, left cv axle, right cv axle, evap, all 4 calipers, lower control arms, etc. at 99k I had enough and traded it in. Total piece of shit.
where are the bearings?
inside the pulley.... watch the video at 8:41. he says that
What size is the bolt? Mine is missing.
Come on man . How about the wheel well and all the wires and plugs and when you can get the wheel well out ? .
This is harder then you think .
I did it and I give it 8 skinned knuckles out of 10. Hope your not a wrench througher
Harder than I think? This video was done AFTER I already did the job. Hence how I had the bad part out already. If removing plastic splash guards & unclipping 1 plug is hard - stop working in cars.
😊love the video
Just buy the whole compressor!
$500 for a new compressor + $150 freon refill. When a new clutch is $75 shipped. Yaaaaaa no thanks.
@@imstricken06 500? Just did one today! 1800radiator! 225 for a new compressor!
