Didn't think these ornithopters would be that simple, i actually overthought them a little bit. Well this is what i watch your videos for, to learn new things, and get more ideas and Inspiration for more creations. Keep up the great content :)
Yes, more ornithopters, and I think the flawless takeoff and the aesthetics make the Parrot a total win. I liked the Toothless and the other Dragon, as well, and sweet backflip, btw.
The first one can fly a little, it’s just really slow and you have to time the space bar presses really good. It’s meant for the high seas map so that it can go faster and ‘use’ the wind for the sails to fly.
Great builds. The detachable Rider was great, the big dragon and the parrot. And tdg of course. So all was great lol. I guess that means : more ornithopters.
Thanks for showing off my seagull and eagle! And... we're showing off the same builds on the same day with almost the same thumbnail, including that parrot. Weird coincidence. My builds had first used motions in three dimensions, but in the end I found up and down motion worked best for me.
I liked "Best Toothless ever" 's stability, and wing design. the smaller opposing wings were very effective. But the Parrot was shockingly good, especially being able to take off unassisted.
Don’t how possible this is, but I figure that making a detachable folding parachute with a figure might be a fun video. The idea being that the figure would be attached to a plane/jet and once released a chute made of sails unfolds to send the character on a nice little glide.
"it's even faster", ofcourse it is with more than twice the wingspan and servos instead of hinges compared to the parrot, btw i also tryed with weak hinges for wing rotation but it was less stable in vertical glimb and couldn't easy take off on its own... oh and thanks for featuring, parrot creator here. fun fact: i didn't intent to create a parrot, just an ornithopter, it somehow naturally evolved that way ^^
The pirate + parrot trope began with the novel “Treasure Island” where Long John Silver had a pet parrot. Ever since then, it’s been referenced thousands of times to the point it’s become a stereotype along with the “peg leg” and idea of “buried treasure” also coming from the same novel. The hook-hand came from Peter Pan and eye patches have always been common among all walks of life. If you have not seen the video of the American Kestrel “hovering” in a headwind, I recommend it. His head and eyes are perfectly still as his body down to the very feather moves around to stay in place… so as a bird flaps, their head is very still as it’s the rest of the body moving to make flight happen. Literally, tens-of-thousands of calculations and micro-twitches from hundreds of muscles per-second… and for them, it’s as normal for them as walking is for us… but more perfect steady-cam with quad gyros level.
Try using suspensions in the wings to see if it’ll make the dragon (or whatever you make) not rock back and forth as much. Maybe even have two suspensions angled at a 45 to cancel the forces.
Ello ScrapMan! for me, if I had to pick, I think the top of the ornithopters would be the parrot. that parrot is so engineered well, it just beats all its competitors in one single shot. but design wise, I would go for Toothless. for me, I LOVE toothless so much! but that detachable rider (hiccup) that is a whole new level of not just ornithopter creativity, but also Planes!! who knew you can be creative with the detachable blocks! EIther way, Parrot for enginuity, Toothless for design and creativity!
Build Idea: Car/Boat that pulls behind a kite/hang glider! Bonus points if your seat is attached to the kite and not the tow vehicle!! I think you did something similar to this on another video, but I cant find it! Maybe yall could also add steering to the kite as well and make it some sort of multiplayer Monday challenge!
Yeah, the Parrot has it all: Power, maneuverability, aesthetics, even the little touches. Now, let's see you make a CARGO ORNITHOPTOR! See how big of a Scrap Chunk you can pick up in Survival Mode with it (if the sails are available)
Oh hey Scrapman! How about this for a race with your buddies! An ornithopter race! You can use the parrot as a base for your own ornithopter! Not copying just analyzing the basic principles of the bird and apply that to your own.
I wanna build a good ornithopter too! but it won't be easy:( gotta stay positive tho, thanks for the vid and effort, this is why people like ur channel
Asking for ornithopter battle... 🤣, Slow flying speed would be great for fights, but complex build would be extremely hard. Ornithopter in Scrap Mechanic?
everyone has to make an ornihopter and they have to collect food[ exp.barrels] and take it to the nest[helipad] while the hunters hunt them with guns[cannon] in multiplayer do this in trailmakers
That parrot was just on another level. Mindblown
Yep, that was amazing

That detachment had some "hiccups".
These builds were incredible today, congrats to the builders for their work and Scrapman finding them!
I hate you for that awesome pun
I love that awesome pun
Didn't think these ornithopters would be that simple, i actually overthought them a little bit. Well this is what i watch your videos for, to learn new things, and get more ideas and Inspiration for more creations. Keep up the great content :)
That Parrot is not simple!
@Erez RotGelb thats exactly what i mean, but i guess its just trailmakers physics
They use sails, the drag will automatically angle the "wings"
Yup, that parrot is really well done:) Kudos! The Toothless was really cool too. A detachable pilot is a great idea:)
I remember you from almost all the best creations videos
aye
The man the myth the LEGEND
LEGEND WE LOVE UR CREATIONS AWESOME
The parrot not only flew well, but also looked so natural doing it. Amazing design!
Yes, more ornithopters, and I think the flawless takeoff and the aesthetics make the Parrot a total win. I liked the Toothless and the other Dragon, as well, and sweet backflip, btw.
Definitely the parrot. It moves so lifelike and graceful. I wish I had trailmakers so I can build one as well.
get trailmakers then
Its on pc game pass if you want a cheaper way to play it
The fact that the sails make flapping sounds when they move is ultra immersive
The parrot and Toothless Dragon were definitely my favourite. Can't wait to see you build one of your own!
Love how the search for the perfect ornithopter is a running thing in the channel, and I knew with the sails added an episode like this was coming.
Much love to ScrapMan, been a fan for years now. But that pirate parrot just put to shame ever single creation you have built lmao. Great video!
The first one can fly a little, it’s just really slow and you have to time the space bar presses really good. It’s meant for the high seas map so that it can go faster and ‘use’ the wind for the sails to fly.
The parrot was just....unfathomably amazing. Best one no debate needed. 20/10.
Great builds. The detachable Rider was great, the big dragon and the parrot. And tdg of course. So all was great lol. I guess that means : more ornithopters.
I honestly didn't expect these creations to be so good.
"Wait. If you cross a bird with an eagle, do you get a beagle?"
-ScrapMan
I mean, there's always genetic engineering.
And the parrot pirate?
And the fact that an eagle is a bird
Thanks for showing off my seagull and eagle! And... we're showing off the same builds on the same day with almost the same thumbnail, including that parrot. Weird coincidence. My builds had first used motions in three dimensions, but in the end I found up and down motion worked best for me.
Good content tho u even got a heart from scrapman
The parrot had an amazing takeoff but my favourite one definitely was the third. Loved the dragonfly vibe
“this is unexpectedly simple”
says the man who has a series of overengineering things
that's what he said! he did not expect such simplicity!
Hi persun
For the sails propulsion project you are working on. I would like to tell you to use the stacked rotated servo method
I liked "Best Toothless ever" 's stability, and wing design. the smaller opposing wings were very effective. But the Parrot was shockingly good, especially being able to take off unassisted.
At first, I liked the simple ornithopter the most, then the parrot lifted itself of the ground and worked perfectly
Very cool, love the addition of sails to Trailmakers.
Would love to see you make it one with your cool 🤘 rock style!
ornithopters have always been my favorite, great vid btw!
The vid got uploaded litteraly 3 mins ago 🤔
Same
@@Cucube great vid so far my man it will be good tho sooo
@@Cucube yeah but the comments get refreshed but the video wont
You know it's gonna be a good creation when it's created by thatdomguy.
I want to see you get good at ornithopters. My favorite was probably Toothless, but the Parrot was an ultra close second.
7:31 "this a pirate" that made me laugh so hard. and idk why.
btw that parrot was awesome.
Almost all of those were amazing but that parrot absolutely stole the show.
I for one am definitely down to see you create one yourself.
I so want to see you not only build a simple ornithopter but also a complex one(with all the struggle that comes with it).
Technically Scrapmans ornothopter from the high seas (the one that was for under water) was an overenginering ornothopter video :)
I would love to see an ornithopter battle with guns
Good morning scrapman! I love your videos so much that even though I'm on vacation in Puerto Rico, I still had to watch your video!
To launch, drive off the cliff and transform
Scrapman : *im gonna say i didnt see that*
ha! ha! ha! ha!

This was an awesome episode. These creations were amazing!
ornathopters with counter moving wings to stop the bobbing sounds like a great idea
My favorite was toothless with the star posing pilot. It was hillarious!
I was so mindblown by the parrot I had to rewind the video several times to grasp how awesome it was lol.
5:11 *realizes that eagles are birds*
the parrot was mindblowing. excellent onrithopter.
I think the first one would work on the high seas map cause of the wind acting as propulsion

Ohhhh the second last one was cool, you definitely should make a video of you making one
The parrot was is my favorite creation that you showed and it woud be very cool if you make an ornathopter!

The Lubrication in yer Brain Pan is High Viscosity...!... And Dragon Ornithopter the landing sold me...
You should try to make a sailboat that stabilizes using a hiking system in Trail Makers. #27
This episode just had scrapman experience shower thoughts, I like it
That beagle joke was unnecessarily funny. 😂😂
Toothless one is easily my favorite
"if you cross a bird with an eagle... do you get a beagle?" 5:12 scrapman stop thinking too hard about it my brain will explode lol
Now I just want to see an Ornithopter that can grab stuff with their legs or mouth. Magnets would feel cheatsy tho.
Sadly is the only safe way to do it, with magnets, Trailamakers don't like part collision, it will probably explode if u try
6:47 poor toothless can't stop losing his tail .
Omg thank you I love ornathaptors
I'd totally like seeing you give it a whirl.

I like how when something bad happens and he just stares.
That parrot then the second dragon both were mine. Moooostly the parrot tho. That one was mindblowing
The parrot is so cool!!
Met a guy who made a super cool ornithopter dragon, wouldn’t let me try it out though, he was paranoid I would copy it and post it on the workshop

7:44 WOW me neither
That parrot was quite impressive.
Hey scrapman, can you try to build one of those big triple sail sailboats and test it on the high seas map?
Now that ornithopters are more practical, it's time for a multiplayer ornithopter stunt challenge!
The parrot one is so good now make an over-complicated eagle
Fun fact bats fly with the power of jazz hands
Yeah, the Parrot has it all: Power, maneuverability, aesthetics, even the little touches.
Now, let's see you make a CARGO ORNITHOPTOR! See how big of a Scrap Chunk you can pick up in Survival Mode with it (if the sails are available)
Hey SM buddy! Just wanted to let you know I was jamming to Catarinth on my badass new hyper x headphones last night I'm loving it!

that Parrot is really amazing
Oh hey Scrapman! How about this for a race with your buddies! An ornithopter race! You can use the parrot as a base for your own ornithopter! Not copying just analyzing the basic principles of the bird and apply that to your own.
The parrot and the dragon after it! 😱😱
When something is made for a certain map. It is unfair to compare it to other things that were made for a complete different map
nice job with river fallen
bird+eagle= beagle this man is a genius
If you have 2 wing sets moving in opposite directions will that help with the body being thrown about?
More please!! Also build your own
ye i would really like to see you make your own ornathopter it would be amazing
today's Ornithopters hit scrapman differently and he is like Birds + Eagle = Beagle, (thanks to those mind blowing Builds)
That parrot though… but yeah i personally want to see you build your own. Can’t speak for everyone but i can’t be the only one
Toothless looks so cool tho
I wanna build a good ornithopter too! but it won't be easy:( gotta stay positive tho, thanks for the vid and effort, this is why people like ur channel

Yes do an ornathopter video! I liked the second dragon
"if you combine a bird a eagle do you get a beagle?"
best question ever asked in man kind
Asking for ornithopter battle... 🤣, Slow flying speed would be great for fights, but complex build would be extremely hard.
Ornithopter in Scrap Mechanic?
The most mind-blowing part is that when u combine a bird and an eagle u get a beagle
Dragon and parrot are out of this world.
Finally! I was waiting for this episode!
everyone has to make an ornihopter and they have to collect food[ exp.barrels] and take it to the nest[helipad] while the hunters hunt them with guns[cannon] in multiplayer do this in trailmakers
ScrapMan: The first ornithocoptor is bad, bareley flew.
Creater: use it on high seas for better results!
Bird v3 blew my mind it has good animations and flying and very good control
MAKE ANOTHER ORNITHOPTER! I WANT TO SEE IT NOW!
Yea, you should try building one of these, still have not forgotten about cosmoteer though -._-.
Scrapman you definitely need to make one yourself. You could do a series of under-engineered creations instead of over-engineered.
Definitely make one!
