Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Idea: Sail-winged fliers on the High Seas map that have to bomb a specific target. (I know that dogfighting would probably be too difficult.)

Edit: I just realized that the battle at the vortex looks like the battle in the pirate of the carribean

That's the first thing I thought about when I saw the Vortex for the first time, the 2 ships fighting was the first image that came to mind. Even the colours are the same

Aside from the Catarinth music, the music played during your time lapse has to be one of my favorites from your videos. Great episode. Would love to see an above-the-surface multiplayer race where the evolution is how hard the waves hit..
Suggestion: try to make surfboards and see who can stay alive longer while moving to larger and larger waves.

i want to see an actual pirate battle, with manually shot cannons and the wind will keep you moving to avoid other cannon shots, just a concept, but it would be so cool

can we just appreciate how good scrapman's content is?? i mean this guy posts consistently and all his content is great! even big youtubers like jacksepticeye have boring videos once in a while ( New FNAF series ) but scrapman's content is top notch. he is the messiah

I would love to see another similar episodes but with more power cores so that you can have extra/substitute steering and motors in case the primary steering or motor gets hit. Today's battle was lacking some bits, because once your steering or motor got hit then it was sort of all over. Or maybe if you protected your steering and motor so that they are not the first things to break.

More of this with the others would be amazing! Maybe make a rule that each cannon has to be on a different button so that firing is more complicated and more like pirate ships.

Would be an interesting idea if u could do a race around the outside of the map, starting at the volcano port and then going 'round the outside of every island (anticlockwise would make the most sense so the biggest waves in that sunken peaks part are the last stop on the way). Even more so if the vehicles used have to be hovercrafts :D

When are we gonna get another one of this? Pirate battles are so epic, but do it with 4 players and even bigger ships, could be co-op 2v2 or 4 boats but this hyped me up so much! I enjoyed it a lot
To make it harder for a clear winner, you should make each round 5 points for the winner, but for the loser it is diminishing returns where you repeat the round until they win or their score reaches 0 as they get a -1 for every round they lose.

I'd still like to see a hovercraft regatta (because making functional hydrofoils is probably too hard) where you get to choose how many power cores you use, but you get a penalty for using more. Either you have to make your boat bigger or you get some sort of time penalty. If you go with something like the later, then you could also make it a blind bid, where the penalty is based on the relative number of power cores you have, compared to the other players, rather than the absolute number and you don't tell each other how many you're using until everyone is done building.

I always liked the song you use here and in many other videos where you play it within the building phase, but today was the first day i listened to it while drunk and it really sounded emotionally epic and hit all the right spots :D May I ask, I know you are a metal guitarist, but is this track produced by you? You lot jumping off the spacecraft gave me an idea. Airdropping vehicles with detachable sails from some sort of aircraft. This could well be a combination of some amphibious plane that drops an offroad capable car or smth.. could be a fun challenge for mpm. I for one am giving this a try now. If it works it‘ll be on the workshop

Since Scrapman wins this stuff so often: either 2 or 3 against one, with the 3 having less power cores per person but more in total. the 1 having say 20, the 3 or 2 having 25 or something split between them.

Does the sea update allow for wind-affected projectiles? you could compete making turrets trying to hit eachother in different wind areas if so, might be painful to get it to work though (?)

You really need to to a sail boat race on the high seas. Only 1 engine allowed the rest of the power must come from sails. Maybe an extra power core or 2 for auto stabilization? I don’t play trail makers so I don’t know how possible this would be but I think it would make for a fun video.

and guess who it is! scrapman. always. Kosmo makes realistic or stylistic vehicles. look at their challenges, and how many times either Kosmo or Kan ACTUALLY win.
