Croatia and Ukraine were the strongest for me at this stage. Ireland are really coming up on the rails. I liked Slovenia and I certainly hope Portugal make the cut.
I think Portugal is a safe qualifier. Luxembourg is a bit "throwaway pop" for a finale (although I think it still probably goes through) but the last big moment in people's memories at the end of the night will be Iolanda's scream. It would be a disaster for the final if Portugal and Serbia aren't there too. We need high quality ballads!
Ireland is one of these cases where a countries qualification record can negatively influence how people asses a song's chances. It's an absolute nailed on Q at this point and even the bookies are starting to come around to this idea.

I said it from the start, and I'll say it again, Australia is a dark horse. No matter if people think its bland or boring, the majority of people will see this song to be the most honest and authentic of them all. People keep sleeping on this, and thats just how Electric Fields want it.
Moldova is interesting cuz all the countries that usually vite for Moldova, vote in the the first semi. Let's not forget the big ass diaspora Moldova has. I persoanay think it will qualify.
I think Poland is overdoing it, the song is supposed to be elegant, but that staging is a stark contrast to that, I'm starting to doubt now too. Australia is lucky to be in SF1, they wouldn't have a chance in SF2. In my honest opinion it's very hard to visually improve one of the blandest songs this year to the point of qualifying, but they can do it, Australia doesn't do budget performances ;-)
No one dares to say anything bad about Ukraine obviously. If this song was sent by any other country peopel wouldn't even give it a qualifying chance I'm afraid. I think it's one of the weakest songs Ukraine did send in the last 20 years.

You’re right Australia are lucky to be in semi final 1, I do think they stand out in the second half of the semi though!

But at least 20 times in a row, if the song is the best. It didn't stop Ireland from winning three times in a row in the 90s.
