I don't know why in every video this song is called "about fall of Constantinople" when it's clear that it's legend of Constantine XI (about his death and return). Song is full of symbolism that reference to his story . According to this legend he took off all of his insignia of power and set off to defend the City with his people. Emperor died and was turned into marble and is waiting for a day when Greek people will reclaim the City.
moreover in my interpretation return of Emperor could be metaphor of reclaiming the City itself by greek people and Constantine and his legend are used only as symbols representing story of Constantinople from Ottoman occupation to the day when it would be took back by Greeks

The English were essentially badass, they basically fought and protected this Nova Anglia until the 14th century. This was after they assisted the emperor with the siege against the “heathens” in the city itself. It definitely gives me Eotheod vibes in Lord Of The Rings.
So I’m proud that the English were a significant contingent of the Varangian guard and fought to defend Constantinople from the 11th century right the way through to the 13th century.
