Fatih Sultan Mehmet, during the conquest of Istanbul, transported about 70 ships over land in one night to bypass a chain blocking the Golden Horn. This event occurred in 1453, and the Ottoman fleet's ships were moved from the land between Galata and Sarayburnu into the Golden Horn. This strategic move played a significant role in the conquest of the city.

Troys, Lydia, Hittites, Urartians, Babylonians, Assyrians lived in Anatolian lands.
The ancestors of the Turks are Troys (Trojans).
Your lying historians changed the whole history. Troys was already the homeland of the Turks. And after the Greek Trojan War, the Trojan Turks fled to the Scythians towards Asia.
The sources of the Trojan Turks thought are the "Fredegar Chronicle" written in the 7th century and the "Gesta Francorum" written in the 12th century.
According to these works, Turks and Franks fled the region after the invasion of Troy. While the Franks migrated to Hungary and the Rhine region, the Turks settled in Scythian lands.
Coluccio Salutati (1331-1406), one of the rare writers who had a positive view of the Turks before the 15th century, said that the Turks' attacks on Christian kingdoms covered up their virtues. According to Felix Fabri, the Turks were the real Trojans who were Muslims and the real enemies threatening the Christian world at that moment.
Famous Spanish traveler Pero Tafur also wrote in his travelogue about the last periods of Byzantium that the Byzantine people said "Turks will avenge Troy!"
      And we avenged Troys..

The genius tactic in war history was to run ships by land. He needed many cannons and the men with the ships in the war. Byzantines put the huge chains from head to toe at the entrance of the Golden Horn. The battleships were carried from Bosphorus to the Golden Horn by the land. It was the most important strategic move of Sultan Mehmet that enabled him to conquer Istanbul. Without this, Istanbul probably would not have been conquered, and Mehmet the 2nd would not have been able to take the name of “ The Conqueror”. Your effort is valuable, but this is a great shortcoming of your work. I hope you will make an edit as soon as possible. Believe me, it would be very nice.

Bizantines + the few foreign elements (genoans, venetians) defending the city numbered less then 10.000 men while the sultan had more then 100.000...and a very strong artilery with the famous huge wall-braker canons designed by a renegade Hungarian engineer called orban.
Catholic Western Europe who were strong enought militarily to send a relief force, abandoned the city to it's fate and did nothing because they regarded the christian orthodox as schismatics..while the rest of orthodox countries were to weak to directly intervene or already had been conquered by the ottomans at the time.

)))))) LOL...You gotta be kidding,no? Every defender killed could not be replaced while for every attacker killed ,another took his place immediatly..
During the siege the ottomans had far bigger loses then the bizantines ,(about 4 ottomans killed for every defender ) ..if mehmed didn't have a crushing numerical superiority ,the siege would have ended in disaster..the defenders were simply overwhelmed by the endless waves of turks sent forward.
Ya it's true that the ottomans won many battles against the christians ,just because Christianity was divided at the time and didn't present a united front against the invaders..but when it started to unite together at the beginning of 17 century it meant the END of the pillaging ottoman empire ..

Trebizond declared independence days before the Sack of Constantinople. Cyprus was already independent. The Byzantines commited suicide, they brought the Crusaders because of their never ending schemes.
The result was the Ottomans who succeded them in many ways.

Well done! The only cons are; 1) The lack of ships in this mod! It would be nice to see the naval aspect of the siege, especially when the blockade broke during the battle of the 18th of April by four incoming freighters, 2) There's no large/monster bombard model available as in MTW2 & 3) I think that both sides had handguns at their disposal and the defenders had also crossbows. Other than these limitations, it's pretty decent job!!

An epic tale that took place during the siege of Constantinople: on the 15th of March 1453, five ships full of Cretan Archers, under the leadership of Manousos Kallikratis (Μανούσος Καλλικράτης), left the port of Souda (Σούδα), province of Chania (Χανιά) in the island of Crete (Κρήτη), to assist their fellow Greeks and their allies defending the legendary City of Constantinople.
After crossing the Aegean Sea and while sailing at the Sea of Propontis, they got involved in a Naval Battle with numerous turkish ships, sinking many of them but also losing two out of total five ships. The remaining three arrived in Constantinople, where the Archers were divided in two teams. The first team under Captain Pavlis (Καπετάν Παυλής) rushed to provide back up to the besieged gate of Saint Romanos (Πύλη του Αγίου Ρωμανού), where Emperor Constantine XI Palaiologos was fighting. The second team defended at the three towers of Vasilios, Leon and Alexios (the names of the towers, πύργοι του Βασιλείου, Λέοντος και Αλεξίου).
The Cretan Archers in those towers (the era of cannons had arrived, but Cretan Archers had been famous for their relative skill since antiquity), fought bravely and killed many Turks along with their mercenaries, that even after the Queen of Cities fell, they still kept fighting, killing their enemies by the thousands.
Shortly after, the Ottoman Sultan himself, admiring the spirit of those men, granted the glorious Cretans the right to flee the City unharmed. The Cretans, knowing the City was already lost, accepted, and they were allowed to return to their ships in their full combat gear and in a victorious parade they marched to their ships, where they embarked for Crete. On their way back, one ship was damaged and was forced to harbour in Mount Athos - Hagio Oros (Άγιο Όρος), where one of the Monks recorded this legendary mission. Commander Manousos Kallikratis descended from the region of Sfakia (Σφακιά) in Crete, the only place along with Agrafa (Άγραφα), Souli (Σουλι) and Mani (Μάνη), that never fell under Ottoman rule.
Eternal glory to our formidable ancestors

double city walls that havent been conquered for 1000 years and a river from the see to infront of the first wall to the other side of the see so its like a island u cant attack from everywhere because u have to fill up sand to several places so the waves of attacks where only on several chokepoints, militairy strategist say that the byzantine army with such walls can defend againt a 100 000 army at least 6 months , conquering the first wall doesnt mean much because there is a second wall after 20 meters, u have to put large planks to attack the second wall while its raining crossbow arrows greek fire, oil and stones, so what im trying to say is the Turks had much more courage to attack such walls with river infront and after first wall its raining crossbows arrows oil greek fire and stones thats what i call courage to still attack those walls and conquer it!

the city was besieged for 6 months, large Apostolic cannons were built by Hungarians(mercenaires) and Serbs(Ottoman Vassals) and on April 12 fire was opened, the fighting lasted 3 weeks and the surrender was reached by agreement because the Byzantines were alone. Catholics did not help. Before attacking Constantinople, Mehmet Fatih wrote the 10-year non-aggression pact with George Castriotis (who was forced by the Vatican to do that)

Actually the main Turkish canons that broke the walls were designed by a single renegade hungarian engineer called orban..the serbs were occupied by the ottoman empire at the time indeed and were vasals of the turks but they didn't participate in the battle.
Indeed catholic Western Europe ,who had the military means at it's disposal to send a relief force..did nothing.
