Great back workout and what a gym. So many great machines. Time under tension is such a great way to explain what it takes to grow muscle. I time every set and I find that the amount of time my set lasts is as important, if not more important, than how many reps I can do. The more pain you can tolerate the more you can gain. It is not about the weight in bodybuilding it is how much burn you can tolerate. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is what it is all about.
Derek's back is in good company with the likes of Dorian and Ronnie. That is how the back of Mr. Olympia should look. He's young too and got a lot of growing today, imagine in a few years from now. I was also impressed with his controlled form, he is very focused on targeting those muscles rather than just pushing around heavy weights (especially post contest) and has a very strong mind muscle connection. Great champion Go Derek!
I know it may sound weird and I'll probably get flack for it but it's heart warming and I get heavy eyes just seeing how Derek Lunsford talks and how I can see the emotion and not feel the same... I know I'm not a bodybuilder and I'll never have the lives these guys do but it's really remarkable to kinda live through the lens that Trevor does to show their lives...
