Carlo Ancelotti did what he could with the squad at his disposal
Once Real Madrid recalled him, Everton's exposed dramatically...
Ancelotti and Benitez are both great managers but you can't really do much when the owners are shit.
I don’t think young people realise how much a power house this club was, massive club, the owner is absolutely ridiculous, more money then sense
Good summary. The only thing I'd add is that the investment under Koeman was woeful. First season they banked €56m for John Stones + spent €28m on Bolasie, which was ridiculous, even if he didn't get badly injured soon after, €23m on Schneiderlin, who played one good half-season and €14m on Ashley Williams who was 31 + managed just one OK season. 2nd season the club sells Lukaku for €85m + proceeds to spend all that plus another €73m on the likes of Sigurdsson (€50m from a relegated team when we were the only club interested, mind-boggling), €29m on Michael Keane, who has been mediocre, Davy Klaassen (€27m, sold a year later for half that) + Rooney (free, big wages). So in that summer we lost an elite striker + signed 3 guys to play as number tens - then didn't play formations using a number ten. Welcome to Everton c. 2017. Then, in the winter window Moshiri blows €23m on Cenk Tosun, who he'd watched score in a Champions League game (total bust, eventually left on a free) + the semi-washed up 28-year old Theo Walcott (€23m), who Sam Allardyce liked (another bust on big wages who left on a free.
The problem when people find out you have money. Average players suddenly have 30-40% tagged onto their price and even worse is that Everton were willing to pay it.
Spot on mate.
Your content gets better and better my man.
The irony of Benitez signing their best player gray for 1.5 million, absolute bargain 😂
While running off a better player they signed for free a year earlier.
@@jetorixjones digne? That was bonkers especially now emery doesn’t fancy him.
@@Roundholesinsquarepegs he's talking about Rodriguez
@@Roundholesinsquarepegs James, Digne and bernard
How about the irony of Benitez telling James to leave because he is 'too old' and then signing Rondon and Townsend
nice, short, prefect. Well done
Bundesliga "fans" who want to get rid of 50+1... take notes. For every Chelsea and City, these 10-20 clubs like this
Imo the boom and bust of English football is better than the stagnation of the bundesliga, 1 winner in a decade shows how broken 50+1 has become
@@indiekiddrugpatrol3117 football is for the people ;)
@@mikexstad1121 and I bet "the people" really love having 1 league winner in a decade. And what about Shalke and Hamburg? They are both massive clubs that are struggling to survive under 50+1
@@indiekiddrugpatrol3117 in last decade (2010-2020) PL had one more different winner club as Ligue 1. PL is de facto farmer league with city as farmer.
@@MasonGreenWeed because ligue 1 was traditionally a league with no big teams until psg monopolised it a few years ago. How can man city be a farmer? Do they farm Man United players? No, do they farm liverpool players? No, do they farm arsenal players? No, do they farm Chelsea players? No, do they farm Tottenham players? No. Now you go and find another major league that has that many teams at the top of the foodchain
I’m so sad for the toffees when I was little they were my favourite team😢
Why not now mate
It has to be Sean Dyche. It just has to be. Sean is the man for the job.
nooo not the ginger dinosaur
he plays negative tactics, a defensive 4-4-2, who are our two strikers and set peice takers??????
@@kenzkinny3540 maupay and simms, set piece taker his dearly mcneil who was with him at Burnley
I thought olly might of been a good shout. The 2 managers in the hat have both been sacked cos their teams were plummeting??? I dunno i think everton will finish bottom.
@@armondtanz Olly?
Brilliant stuff again
Everton have had too many different managers spending lots of money on the squad. The result is a buffet of a team with no real identity. The two top managers for the job in Sean Dyce and Bielsa couldn't be more different. The people at the club need to decide what type of football Everton should play and hire a manager to go do it.
Everton the english version of Hamburg HSV
Spot on
Its all down to one man, picture of the two men who its down too.
Agent Rafa, that's what happened
This needs an update. Especially with Brands coming out pubicly and speaking about Moshiri's nonsense. Hopefully it can end somewhat positive if we manage to get a win or two in the last 2 games of the season. But until that clown sells, we can hardly call it a true happy ending. Thanks for the video and for letting others know what he is doing to this massive and historic football club.
Also, don't forget the clown that is Bill Kenwright.
Everton relegated to EFL Championship is such a national tragedy.
Look what happened to Argentina football after River Plate got relegated in 2011.
Everton isn't as relevant in England as how River Plate is in Argentina.
Yeah it would be more like if united or arsenal got relegated
@@tobiajayi2706 This is just like La Liga without Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as Serie A without Juventus, Milan, and Inter.
@@ezraezra2928 nah it would be like LaLiga without Malaga or Serie A without Parma
@@MasonGreenWeed I believe Chinese football is just a trash. How some clubs like Guangzhou and Hebei ended up being relegated after a financial troubles, with Hebei even got a minus 3.
At least they have Duncan Ferguson to fall back on.....
Oh wait
Everton has seemingly succumbed to overweight expectations absent any actual planning like any Olympian could and would, or rather ominously, will inevitably, infallibly.
In football, an IDENTITY is integral to club growth as it is players, management, coaches, staff, et al. It sounds like the new regime at Everton forgot to read the rest of the New Oil Money Football Buyer’s Guide beyond Chapter I: Identification, namely the identifiers like CITY, PEOPLE, CULTURE, HISTORY, etc.
That they even conceived of bringing in OUR COLLECTIVE GODFATHER, His Holiness Marcelo Bielsa in for an interview is testament that the club, err, it’s so called ownership and leadership has not identity its own (like a Red Bull or City model) nor could be bothered to keep the EVERTONIAN fire alive. For their crimes against this Colossus of FOOTBALL, I call for their removal from the game, and for the FA to pioneer a new ADMINISTRATION model, creating within the city of Liverpool a new model for the club and its suppprters to restore the CLUB.
It’s bad enough that we failed collectively as a species in many arenas fore, let’s not fail in this endeavor, too.
This is an opportunity for the RED ARMY to join the BLUE ARMY and create a new wave of rivalry to reverberate throughout the world. Too long the people of the city of Liverpool and every other town have been deprived of their beloved rivalry.
Here is looking at every town, every supporter, player, staff and board member. Football deserves more, football deserves better. We don’t need SUPER LEAGUES, we need models. Club level, domestic level, continental, global, from the solo kid practicing keep-ups to the two friends playing one-a-side to citywide everyone-a-side, from green pitches to grey cobbled stones, wherever the football is, plastic bags and pig blathers, #ONEFOOTBALL for all, just like the EARTH beneath our feet. 🫡🖖🏼🙏🏼
Just a simple requet please add some subtitles...
Headlockers
everton spend 500 million in 6 seasons more like 500 million in the last 15 to 20 years as the prior owner spent nothing compared to the likes of Chelsea spending 500 million in 9 months or city City spending over 400 million on defenders alone since pep as been there.... People forget evertons staduim is costing 700 million not the original 500... As soon as that is built Moshiri will sell the club to the Qataris.
Arsenal you say? 😁
So its confirmed : Moshiri, lifelong liverpool fan, his 5 year plan to bring down the club has worked .... mwhahaha.
Everton and their vile fans deserve nothing but relegation. The death threats against Rafa Benitez's family and then the chasing down of players in their cars and harassing them is some of the worst fan behaviour in recent memory.
Check what ultras get up to in other countries. By "death-threats" I take it you mean the note left outside Benitez's house before he got appointed? Except they got the wrong house, being idiots. Those handful of stupid kids running after Gordon's car as he drove away from the stadium? You mean Mina getting out of his car + talking to some excitable young fans, the one where he shook hands and drove off?The peaceful sit-in against the board + owner that went on at the same time, attended by thousands of fans, you missed that? Sorry, but if you're getting your information off Talksport or some red--sheet newspaper then you have no clue + your comments are ignorant + uninformed.
Yes, a few kids did stupid things that stupid kids will do, anywhere. the village idiots that write abusive messages on bed sheets against Benitez, they just embarrass themselves + the club by association. There has been ZERO violence.
So take your dumb, hateful remarks elsewhere. You sound exactly like the sort of fan your sneering at, one with a myopic opinion + a knee jerk, uninformed slander.
@@johnniea4684 I'm sorry but you can't cry foul and try to sweep things under the rug as the acts of a few cretins when hundreds and thousands of fellow fans seemingly endorsed that kind of behaviour or didn't call it out. What about the pictures of those fans who brought knives into the stadium that emerged during that oil protester tying himself to the goal post. Pr the countless abuse hurled on social media at previous managers, the owner and everyone under the sun. The fact is many of your fellow fans seemingly have a sense of entitlement to success and PL football because 'we have history and have never been relegated before'. That is complete hogwash, the league is a meritocracy and if your club wastes hundreds of millions on dung like Prickford, Iwobi, Klaassen, Tosun and a dozen others, then you reap what you sow.
@@TheAlphaDingo Maybe do some research on the social media activities from fans of other clubs? You'll find identical content because, well, social media 🤷♂️
Sounds like you're obsessing over Everton for some reason, then using that bias to attack a club + it's fanbase, which is odd behaviour, gotta break it to you.
Entitlement? What does that even mean? You mean wanting the club you support to do the best it can, right? Doesn't everyone want that? I can remember very clearly the likes of Man City stinking the gaff out. Their fans still wanted better. That's exactly what EFC fans want. Or are you one of those who think you can lecture fans of other clubs as to what they can expect, or hope for?
Regardless, your comments about "vile fans", "deserve to go down" etc come across as hateful. Demonstrates irrational bias, a lack of critical thinking, ability to see nuance. Them + Us type of mindset that I find very limiting, including amongst fans of my own club. Fans of clubs up + down the country are basically the same. Thinking otherwise is delusional, sorry that's how it is.
@@johnniea4684 I don't buy this fallacy and myth that clueless pundits put out that Everton is a passionate club and who's fans deserve better. For mine, as soon as sections of your fanbase made death threats and harassed players and managers, you lost all moral high ground. Again, you can cling to whatever narrative you want but the fact remains, your fanbase is highly poisonous, excessively demanding and downright abusive. It puts a a brown stain on the rest of the league and frankly, that behaviour isn't wanted or something that should be tolerated hence why your club should be sent to the championship to teach your entitled fans humility.
@@TheAlphaDingo Just proving my point with all that bile, amigo. Believe me, as an actual Everton fan I certainly don't need to be lectured by you on my own club + it's fans. Wouldn't dream of doing the same about any other club. Stick to getting your opinions off Talksport + quit embarrassing yourself by talking nonsense 👍
If they actually Hire Marcelo Bielsa, they will Officially become a Banter Club …. ⚽️. 💀
Why? Bielsa is a good manager
Tactically it’s like fitting a circle in a square hole with Everton current roster
@@edwardkelly3280 exactly! Those players ain’t capable of learning his football in a few months, it’s too demanding
They've been a banter club since the late 90s

Liverpool loving this downfall no doubt. 😂
Think they other things on their mind tbh, like stinking the league up themselves this season 😅
Would be funny see to Everton go down hope they do a Sunderland
Weird.
obsessed
giddy up and get relegated already.
Just loving it 😂😂😂
The fans are toxic lol.. Ruined their own club
‘Lol’ yeah we were real toxic during that 1-0 win against the league leaders the other day weren’t we mate
Don't be pessimistic, Everton will survice 2022/23
It's starting to look like Moshiri was just a front for the eventual buying of the club by Usmanov . Who obviously now can't do anything financially given the sanctions against Russia. Something isn't quite right.
What happened?? Once Everton touches you 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
