Always a hysterical part of the show.

Just for the sake of clarification, and facts. Pink has a four octave range, and sings and swings from a trapeze, and does gymnastics; all without missing a beat. She does this to give the best to her fans, as well as proving all the "singers" who claim one can't sing and dance simultaneously. Broadway performers do it all the time. Furthermore, they do it every night, and twice on Sundays. Having said that, I saw Madonna during her first three consecutive concerts. When I was a teenager I saw the Virgin tour, and I was blown away. I saw the next two consecutive tours, including this one, and each one was better than the last. And I was close enough each time to see the sequins on her clothing. Lol! Singing is not her strong suit, but that's not what she's ever been about. Thirty years ago. I don’t feel old. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to have the Blonde Ambition tour run through my veins. All of Madonna’s tours are epic. Blonde Ambition and The Confessions Tour are the top two. Blonde Ambition was about power. Confessions was about dancing. Power and dancing; there’s nothing better.
I worked in the Radio business in 1990 and was visiting a client station, WGN, in Chicago. The night before my meeting, another client station KSTP AM/FM in Minneapolis had brought in contest winners and some of their advertisers to attend the concert, and invited me and my coworkers to join them, with amazing seats. We were very lucky: Madonna caught the flu and only performed the night that we attended, and had to come back months later. But you wouldn't know from her performance, which was flawless. Constant motion, and precision, for an hour and 45 minutes. I have never been in a crowd so crazed with excitement as that night. I remember it as if it were yesterday.
this and Confessions on a Dancefloor are hands down. 1000%. her best live performances. She is able to blend different genres and create completely new tunes to her music and still make them iconic.
What I love about the filming of this concert is that there are not endless crowd shots. We actually get to watch Madonna and the show without the endless panning over the crowd you see in more recent productions. I wanna see those dance moves man!! ( which I memorised as a boy 30 years ago!!)
Right???? The HBO version I recorded on videotape and played it repeatedly until it wore out. Thinking back on her values and the country today, she was WAY ahead of society on so many levels -- diversity, women's equality, AIDS/LGBTQ issues, artistic expression/freedom of speech, cultural appropriation (no one said much at the time about the "Geisha" period), etc. etc. etc.
I don't think people realize how athletic madonna is. Like she has muscles and her energy is beyond this world. Wasn't she in her early 30s here? She is a true star and has massive stage presence as well!! Nowadays, she has nothing else to prove. I do hope that she releases another album that succeeds and has longevity on the charts. I think that she needs to not try too hard to be "hip" but stay true to how we fell in love with her in the first place. We love her catchy songs, ballads, groovy melodies, and choreography! We want to see her having fun and being free again! Especially, in this time when there is so much depression and deadly viruses going around.
Being 31 or 32 is still young, as it is not middle age. It's not like she was pushing 50, like at Coachella in 2006. She was live, real, had no fillers or surgery and looked and sounded amazing! I don't think Madonna ever needed any work, she was beautiful as she aged.
Madonna may reference her music but she never really goes back. She’s experimental and is no longer doing fan service or needing to do a cash grab. A true artist makes music that’s inside them and it’s up to us whether we like it or not. I haven’t loved everything Madonna’s created, but I love her risk taking creatively and socially and politically. Her newest album, Madame X, is among her best work, honestly.
I had never seen these performances. I watched this last night and I am absolutely shocked at how amazing this is. “Like a virgin” is phenomenal. She’s singing that from her soul. The theatrics. The aura she had. Madonna was IT.
I was at this concert in Houston! It was surreal and by far her most ICONIC tour. Not only did she make her backup singers Donna De Lory and Niki Haris household names. She was the first artist who made her dancers famous as well...They were her posse during this time in history and I'm glad I was able to watch it through "Truth or Dare" and the Houston concert, which was the first city on the American leg of her tour. Thanks for the upload.
i miss the summit i saw during this video people where just sitting in their chairs. i saw whitney houston in 1987 in the summit we were on feet threw the concert
We know new New Jersey was professionally filmed but was replaced by nice and we know new New Jersey audio was leaked back in 2015 .......so the video exiats . The reels for new new Jersey was sold on ebay a few years ago for a lot of money.
30 years ago. Jesus I feel old! Was the first concert I ever went to. Wembley Stadium July 20th. I was sweet 16. Still one of the best live shows I ever saw x
exactly!!! its the most iconic tour, i will never forget any of her shows i have seen, but this is still my favourite. She is a powerhouse of a performer!
She was untouchable during this time. I was unfortunately to young to go see her in person @ this concert. She is the QUEEN 👑 OF POP UGHHH THAT VIBE SHE HAS.. ❤️🙌🏽
For the empteenth time, I'm watching this and my eyes are heart shaped in admiration and love for this woman. I think Madonna has had so much influence on so many uf us out there and we're so lucky and grateful that she's still been sticking around. So sorry she gets so much bad critics for her body, but I'm sure she still has a few rabbits in her cilinder to show us in future. Long live the one and only Queen of Pop, Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone.
The final keep or together IS great! Blond ambition tour : A piece of art, the show girl at the top! Madonna is with Michael Jackson the biggest stars !
Madonna was a force to be reckoned with. Just a glimpse of her takes your breath away. I don't blame her for wanting to be youthful forever..just look at her!
Despite a few prerecorded sections, and looking back from the age we're in where everyone lip syncs or has a lot of digital tuning, this was a TON of pretty good live singing with this level of dancing and performing. Real excellence in performing here. Iconic time that no one could reach now, sadly. There's no digital live work on her vocals here at ALL, and I don't think most people know exactly how significant that actually is. She's also not got a ton of reverb, etc., if any at all. Just blows me away, her energy level at that time.
I remember at the time she caught a lot of flack for a few "pre-recorded" sections/tracks, too! Doesn't even begin to compare to today's auto-tune and prerecordings.
@@Camille_Anderson TBH -- NO, "EVERYONE" does not. Been to a Pink concert? Or Lady Gaga? Pretty sure Bruno Mars wasn't lip syncing when I saw him. Definitely not the Rolling Stones on their latest tour. -- Yeah, "EVERYONE" does not exempt anyone.

Into the Groove. ...omg, insane ❣ Her male dance partner is incredible ❣ Havent seen this for many years and it gets even better from an older perspective. Want to go out now and rock it out, but its a freezing cold Wednesday evening in UK..my dog needs walking and I've got my grandson cominig at the weekend. 💕 So I will have to make do....close the curtians...and dance by myself.😂 That'll do very nicely ❣💕💕

I saw in it Los Angeles with Technotronic opening. Who opened in Houston? And how was the crowd? The L.A. crowd was electric. And if you Truth Or Dare, the section when the celebrities show up backstage was from the L.A. show.
You know MA I honestly don’t recall. I do recall we weren’t on time and just made it before she went on as we drove from austin. I can remember other openers like the breakfast club and the beastie boys!
we were born the same year, all her hit songs from like a virgin,to material girl...even up to this date-2020 i consider this Blond Ambition tour the Best for me, especially the finale “keep it together”...Bravo Madonna😊👍❗️

I remember the sensation and aura everything Madonna. The concert was televised on HBO from Nice, France and all my friends got together to watch... snacks drinks everything singing along, like we were attending in person. Not to mention the stunning concert segments and song play list. She pioneered ahead of her time and on TOP OF THE WORLD! Good memories.
En aquella época ella merecía todos los premios, toda la fama, toda la fortuna... Fue el pico más alto de su carrera artística. No había ni habrá nadie como ella. Es una completa Diosa! ♥️
Ladies and gentlemen the most iconic opening to a show ever! Madonns really is an artistic genious! I love watching old footage of Madonna live and still listen to her classic material from her early 80s up until 2005's Confessions album and that Tour just blows my mind today as does The Blond Ambition Tour 90 Nowadays her material is just ok and Madonna seems more focased on social media which is cool but she really was a force of nature and deserves her Queen Of Pop title. Simply an Icon! 👑
Waoooo ! I had not seen this for almost 25 years . It's incredible how this woman redefined the pop music industry, the concert tours, fashion and specially female empowerment. No female artist I know has been as big as she was in 1990. What a legacy !
30 years after and I am watching the Blond Ambition Tour, 30 years after and I feel excited for this incredible show... Madonna knew exactly how to make pop and entertain people... She's the only one... QUEEN OF POP and still counting... thaks for the video! I appreciate!
I love the uncorrected notes and out of breath moments she never let happen on tour dvd recordings after this. Many tours Madonna would go back in and fix the vocals so it would be perfect.
Excellent performance by the woman who had clearly conquered the world when this tour came out. I loved the raw photage of the the video, it gave it a somewhat of a reality TV feel and to think tickets were only $30 in those days.. of course me and all my friends went to the LA Forum show.
3:53 The Queen rockin' the iconic Jean-Paul Gaultier cone bustier. Damn. This sh*t is epic-genius. From the dancing, to the performances, to Gaultier's designs..... Nice to see the pony tail before she switched to the curly mid-tour. The 'Express Yourself' entrance is amazing, and probably my favorite concern footage of all time. Just awesome. I miss those times.

I have always loved the end of "Papa Don't Preach", but watching the dancers work so hard, from that angle, just gave me chills!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!😍 So many memories! Thanks so much for uploading this!!💗
considering she was plagued with voice issues this tour she sounds really good in this show, probably the best vocally of all the blond ambition shows i've watched on yt.

I consider myself supremely lucky to have lived in an era where I got to see Madonna's Blonde Ambition Tour and Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation tour in the same year. This is not meant to stir a comparison/fight between the two. Both women were just killing it at that time and I was glad I witnessed it.
CHERISH in my opinion is among the perfect songs that have no weakness. Catchy melody, beautiful Vocal harmonies,Delightful music, Strong Chorus and with such depth!
I was 15 yrs old when my lovely uncle and aunt maid me the surprise to see her on the the stage. It Paris at the Bercy stage. (I'm french) So much good memories and thank you for remind me that
Will pop music ever get this perfect again? I think this is by far Madonna's best tour in all times and I feel really sorry I was a bit too young to go see it live back then. Perhaps the greatest watershed in live perfomarnce. Thanks for sharing the Houston show - I had never seen it before.

Forever will be the Gold Standard for female soloist tours. Also keep in mind that this concert looks and sounds the way it does during an era when women were still wearing acid wash denim mom jeans and had mall bangs. So ahead of its time.
This will forever be Madonna most sublime concert! Madonna at her best, with the most marvelous dancers, backup singers, her brother's sets, the costuming, choreography and Madonna's beautiful voice, face and body, her total performance was breathtaking! The ultimate set list, The ultimate film to go with it,Truth or Dare! Blonde Ambition indeed! MADONNA! ✝
Amazing event! This was my second of Madonna's tour to catch( Went to Who's That Girl at Astrodome). This tour was so iconic in so many ways> i went to the show with my two sisters. I remember seeing Downtown Julie Brown at the front of The Summit and remember all the Madonna music blasting from cars after the show. I feel every Madonna Tour is a different adventure and have only missed two tours- Virgin and Girlie Show.My top three are Blond Ambition, Reinvention and Confessions but I love all of them for different reasons . I was also so fortunate to win two upgrades as won two passes to front and center were me and my partner were in the fan pit for the re Invention tour in 2004...were I was mad as she actually touched him when she slapped hands of people in our pit..lol and also got pink triangle passes for MDNA.. danced my ass off!! Sorry for all that but The Madonna concert experience excites me!!
Thank you for 100k views! ❤️ Remastered versions of the Japan and New Jersey show will be coming next! (if copyright allow me 🤪). So grateful 🥰

What Madonna liked was her dancers, who are always on point and on top of their technique .ua-cam.com/video/1eGSV4v1fI4/v-deo.htmlsi=YGu7EtJUmDXtK7kx
this and Confessions on a Dancefloor are hands down. 1000%. her best live performances. She is able to blend different genres and create completely new tunes to her music and still make them iconic.
could not agree more. was front row at her confessions tour and just marvel at her artistry and her reinventive powers.
Confessions was a good show but like 75% of it was lip synched. Yet, more of Sticky and Sweet was sung live than Confessions.
Yep I do agree
EXOTICA is to date my favorite of her later compilations. I flew to Australia in '93 to see it. She made 92 a great year for Madonna fans.
@@OriginalSilver416EXOTICA????
Mike BlueT You do realize she has a new album out right now, and has been touring up until corona shut down her show??
#madamx
She was 31/32
Being 31 or 32 is still young, as it is not middle age.
Shes very athletic indeed!!
This was her BEST TOUR! Her singers are amazing, her dancers are outstanding and she never sounded better ...She looked amazing!
Thank you! I've been wondering for decades how her backup singers were called.

That energy this woman has, and still has! Amazing concert and performer!❌❌❌
30 years ago. Jesus I feel old!
Was the first concert I ever went to. Wembley Stadium July 20th. I was sweet 16.
Still one of the best live shows I ever saw x
I remember watching this live on HBO in 1990. The transition from Like a Virgin to Like a Prayer shock me big time and even scared me a little.
This HBO special was legendary at the time...EPIC. I remember it like it was yesterday. The WORLD was watching!
I miss this Madonna 🥺😭
I was at this show. This brings back wonderful memories!!!

What year was this?
@@MrTREYNA31 1990
She was the first artist to put one a concert of this magnitude.
This tour is best in history.Madonna's choreography, energy, talent, power=big respect !!!!!👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
This woman gives everything in every show, pure energy and talented. She deserves the title of queen!
The blond ambitions tour was the best musical tour in her entire career
Omar Alqiwani not really
exactly!!! its the most iconic tour, i will never forget any of her shows i have seen, but this is still my favourite. She is a powerhouse of a performer!
She was untouchable during this time. I was unfortunately to young to go see her in person @ this concert. She is the QUEEN 👑 OF POP UGHHH THAT VIBE SHE HAS.. ❤️🙌🏽
I saw this show live in Los Angeles. AMAZING.
ICONIC HAIR, ICONIC OUTFIT, ICONIC DANCE, ICONIC MUSIC, ICONIC ARTIST 🥳
Nicki and Donna made her songs sound full and rich along with Madonnas voice.
Madonna. One of the best Entertainers during my teenage years...Getting older is strange.
It's amazing because we can hear clearly the voice of Madonna. She's not lip syncing in Express yourself here. Madonna deserves more credit.
With the vigorous dancing of the number, a backtrack was used in the background but yes, here she uses all her vocals!
The final keep or together IS great! Blond ambition tour : A piece of art, the show girl at the top! Madonna is with Michael Jackson the biggest stars !
She is phenomenonal, I just love her energy ... spellbinding
@@beaellie9766 everyone lip syncs now, tbh.
A few?
yeah? only a few of the songs. Majority of it was actually live. @@SP-fw1xe
In my world we are still in 1990 and the BAT is not yet finished ^^ thank you for all these good huge memories 😘👍

I was in the audience that day in Houston.
She danced her ass off on Where's The Party 18:45. She gets bonus points for jumping to the ladder steps backwards. My God!
The best superstar and performance of all times
I love you Madonna. This show brings back wonderful memories.
Great concert! I went to both shows when she was here..Friday and Saturday nights....awe i was a freshman in high school then....good times . I was CRAZY about her. 🎶🎶🎶🎶👍
No screens, just screams. Incredible show, and timeless.
💕 So I will have to make do....close the curtians...and dance by myself.😂 That'll do very nicely ❣💕💕

facts!!!
38 years. "Everybody" was released in 1982.
I saw this live in Houston opening night in US. Still my #1. But love all her tours.

Here's to all the people who say she "never sings live". Yes, she can sing, quite well, actually!~
True she can sings live
Yes! Absolutely amazing vocals. I was just thinking of just one of the many unfair criticism she receives from naysayers.
Girl calm down Hahahahahah we love Madonna
Definitely live when she cant even hit the right notes - however - shes singing along with a track of her own voice.

Sin dudas uno de los mejores recitales de Madonna, la performance, coreografía, vestuario, ambientación... De pie! Vida larga a la única 👑💗
Oh Father! I love that song and video so much!
Waoooo ! I had not seen this for almost 25 years . It's incredible how this woman redefined the pop music industry, the concert tours, fashion and specially female empowerment. No female artist I know has been as big as she was in 1990. What a legacy !
To me, that's her BEST concert to date !
30 years after and I am watching the Blond Ambition Tour, 30 years after and I feel excited for this incredible show... Madonna knew exactly how to make pop and entertain people... She's the only one... QUEEN OF POP and still counting... thaks for the video! I appreciate!
Saw it live in 1990- so great- we all dressed up like Madonna, even my friend Steve- her best concert ever!
Just awesome. when i say the best madonna song is keep it together... i mean THIS keep it together
Calvin Miranda Moritz this is the 12” Remix, they released it on Like a Prayer 30th anniversary album + a few of the singles when it was originally released

The Blonde Ambition Tour was the best Madonna live tour she ever did.

Sorry for all that but The Madonna concert experience excites me!!
what a story!! i wish id been that close, but im lucky enough to have been to each tour and Blonde Ambition is still my favourite!!
