Thank you for doing the interview again! While the last one was interesting and I listened to the entire thing, I originally came for flannel daddy and was sad he didn't have more input. It means alot that you took the criticism in a positive way and gave it another try.
"This is a question for a more qualified individual" - Flannel Daddy Just imagine a world where people said this more often and not just spew dumb shit just to not "lose ground".
The first part of this interview, 30ish minutes, about growing up in the 80/90’s is so relatable. Those truly were the golden days of our now shitty world. Also found out I’m older than garand thumb
I saw all the criticisms in the comments before I got too far into the first episode. TJ definitely cut him off a lot. That aspect was not great, but overall, I really enjoyed the stories even though it ended up being more focused on TJ. Podcasts are dynamic events. Trying to corral the topics and force focus on things removes a lot of the organic long form conversation. This was a great follow up episode.
@@raifsevrence I saw the criticisms and watched this before the previous one. Honestly came out liking JT, I wanted to hear about GT but I really liked hearing two TACPs hanging out shooting the shit.
Tbh I’d love a video from GT on basic first aid using IFAK. I know that you should go to the courses in person, but a video hitting the cliff notes of sucking chest wounds and how to apply tourniquets from flannel dad would be great.
I just this week figured out GT is a TACP and searched out this podcast. Huh. I did go from TACP to submarine, actually just an overnight cruise out of PCAN on the LA class Oklahoma City while I was an instructor at Nuclear Power School. The EOOW job is cool AF but also sucks wind. There is literally no difference between being on a submarine and being in space, other than the view and the delta p across the hull.
I love these podcasts together. You guys sound like good friends, even though it's just shared experiences. I get people's frustration from podcast thumb part 1. You guys are hilarious. Brother Thumb, I'm trying to put that positivity out. I'm with you that it feels like people just need more good in the world these days. JT, your stories are fucking great dude, I wish I had as many funny stories from my time In service.
If you’ve ever shown off your business card to your friends, but then they said they preferred Paul Allen’s card to yours, Go ahead and hit that like button.
I was interviewed by NCIS. It wasn't anything I did but it was as a witness to a crime that was not committed, and I was treated as if I was the one committing the crime because I testified to what really happened and I was one of the only witnesses who actually watched what went down. This woman hated me, this woman wanted to tear me down for saying something she didn't want to hear. I know exactly what they mean when they're talking about OSI
Its great cause i still vaguely remember a few of these shows being born in 2001 and seeing a few reruns. But still boomerang with tom amd jerry was my whole ass childhood
I was born in 92, but I whole heartedly agree you guys had the best TV shows. My sister (Thank God) passed so many of her movies and TV shows on to me. I honestly think I was born in the wrong generation because barely anyone my age gets my references or state of mind.
Damn, you guys are my exact age, and i'd lie if i said i wasn't nostalgia fanboying out for that entire section of the show. I still remember my first sleepover after Goldeneye came out, where we were up all night just blasting the crap out of each other. The kids today just dont understand how novel of a thing this was.
That was an awesome episode. I have got more done in the last hour and a half than I did all day yesterday just because I had two of my favorite UA-camrs talking in the background. Great podcast guys, look forward to the next one :D Also yes, Crack is indeed still illegal.
Most influential weapon for me has to consider the M1 carbine. Semi auto, intermediate cartridge, detachable magazine, lightweight, reliable, effective enough in close quarters. It's everything we look for in a modern rifle configuration, and it was invented 80 years ago. The AK was mostly a copy of the German Sturmgweher(sp?) 44. The M1 carbine is still one of my favorite guns all time and it was years ahead of the Garand.
Great show guys, thanks for all the laughs...:) Keep up doing all the great podcasts as we sit here waiting for our so-called leaders or whatever they are get their sh-t together and allow us Americans get back to living again!!!!!!!!
I'm not a 100% up to speed with all states laws....But I think crack is still illegal. Love the podcast! I've been avoiding new ones just because there are so many! Subscribed now. Love you guys! JT you are an endless fountain of ideas. I look forward to whats next! Flannel never disappoints either! Great chat guys!
I was in JTs ASOS when this happened. To this day, people don't believe me that this actually happened so I show them this podcast. Just a bonus that flannel daddy is the guest.
This was a fantastic interview! This was so different than others I've heard with Mike Jones. If I may ask, did the ashes that were mixed with water to curtail your diarrhea cause any issues with your stomach after the fact? We were taught in Field Medical Service School at Lejune that can turn into lye. Just curious! Not doubting your story at all! Again great interview!
I'd be interested to hear both of your opinions on OSI AST (Anti-Terrorism Specialty Team) specifically, given their more direct-action role running CT missions overseas for base defense. If you have any observations or insights on their performance from deployments that'd be cool to hear.
Finally, Brandon Rogers (maker of some of the best comedy on UA-cam) and Mike in the same video? (I know it was a commercial, but still, it counts...?) This is a sign.
JT I have to give it to you. You annoy the crap out of me... You can't sit still, you know everything, you talk to much, you where in the Air Force, you have all the addons for DCS, you almost shot down Mover, you tried to take off in a jet (across the grass and not the runway), But then on top of all that, you kinda apologized for the last interview with Daddy and how it went... I don't say this much but your all right... For an Air Force guy. And thank god, you where not in the Coast Guard. I don't think I could of handled writing this if you where :-D Much respect Brother!
Flannel daddy came back to you? This upsets me because he never came back from the “store” 18 years ago.
He kept drinking all the cigarette milk on the way home and had to keep going back
Real shit Jarred, takes humility to admit & jump in on the critique.
Thank you for doing the interview again! While the last one was interesting and I listened to the entire thing, I originally came for flannel daddy and was sad he didn't have more input. It means alot that you took the criticism in a positive way and gave it another try.
"Dude, my biggest thing is...."
Me: Get Training!
Daddy: "everyone needs to be a bit nicer..."
Classical Conditioning everyone...
"This is a question for a more qualified individual" - Flannel Daddy
Just imagine a world where people said this more often and not just spew dumb shit just to not "lose ground".
Can’t make everyone happy on the internet. I love how Garand Thumb keeps it real.
Love the BRCC commercial! Jarred rocks!
He redeemed himself from the last flannel cast
I was hoping that the subscription service would include dick touches, but they haven't gotten back to me about it yet. Fingers crossed
Most of the internet can be summed up by yelling ”REEEEEEE”
God that's so true
Flannel Daddy: Have you ever had raw milk? Its like.. really thick & creamy
Milk..yeah... Sssuuurrree thing flannel man.
*Wakes up in the middle of the night with the uncontrollable urge to poo*
"He's calling"
The first part of this interview, 30ish minutes, about growing up in the 80/90’s is so relatable. Those truly were the golden days of our now shitty world. Also found out I’m older than garand thumb
On the first podcast it just seemed to me like JT was excited to talk about tacp stuff and stories with a current tacp.
I saw all the criticisms in the comments before I got too far into the first episode. TJ definitely cut him off a lot. That aspect was not great, but overall, I really enjoyed the stories even though it ended up being more focused on TJ.

@@raifsevrence I saw the criticisms and watched this before the previous one. Honestly came out liking JT, I wanted to hear about GT but I really liked hearing two TACPs hanging out shooting the shit.
Please don’t stop these podcasts! The content is so natural and unscripted. This is quality podcasting!
Tbh I’d love a video from GT on basic first aid using IFAK. I know that you should go to the courses in person, but a video hitting the cliff notes of sucking chest wounds and how to apply tourniquets from flannel dad would be great.
that bit in the beginning was amazing
History Channel being hitlers greatest adventures made me laugh my ass off
Today I learned Flannel Daddy is the same age as me... does that make him Flannel Brother now?
I think the context of "Daddy" changes. It is no longer innocent and paternal.
I'm conflicted, I've been married longer than he's been alive...
Nah. He is that way cool cousin we always wished we could be.
I think it's more of a John Connor type situation
It’s a slide lock when it locks the slide back and it’s a slide release when you press it to drop the slide
well this has just brought back heaps of memories from growing up in the 90s and early 2000's
Another podcast like this with him would be awesome. This podcast was one of my favorites.
I just this week figured out GT is a TACP and searched out this podcast. Huh. I did go from TACP to submarine, actually just an overnight cruise out of PCAN on the LA class Oklahoma City while I was an instructor at Nuclear Power School. This was dope. Bring this back
The anger was definitely real in the last set of comments lol
I loved both of these, I don't get the haters. I really enjoyed the TACP stories. Maybe I'm just weird.
I founded interesting cause I didn’t know what branch he was in I thought he was like an army ranger the lazy kind or a green beret
Great job boys!
‘86 myself, relived my childhood in the first part. Thanks again JT and Jarand.
Adding brandon Rogers to film with you guys is awesome
This is freaking gold!!! Love how JT redo the entire interview and have a great sense of humor about it
Mike is the best! The Black rifle guy is amazing. Truth & honesty
I really enjoy this, i wear my headphones at work so its like an audiobook that i actaully enjoy! Keep up the good work!
this was possibly the funniest hour and a half I've ever spent on you tube. thank you!
Can’t wait for EP 3 !!!!
One of the Better Podcasts Ive heard, keep it up. That was a real quick 90+ minutes that Im happy I listened to.
That’s the best add for anything I’ve ever seen lmao 🤣 my brother in Christ YES!!!
all of the hard dairy
Chedderphedamine
"Who's line is it anyways" slapped hard back in the day...
So...now we know how to get a double interview with people we wanna hear more from...guilt you into a do over.
“Honey nut cheerios slap”
I never imagined hearing those words come out of flannel daddy's face
Oh, heck yeah. I'm so happy this was done again. I'm catching up with the times... I'm in the 2000s now!
Watching this episode took me back in time.
If you’ve ever shown off your business card to your friends, but then they said they preferred Paul Allen’s card to yours,
Go ahead and hit that like button.
I was born in 96 and I still have so many memories of all this lol.
Dooood!! That’s awesome, I’m from Palmdale and I had soccer tournaments in Newbury Park.
Cloud croft is amazing. Hell, that whole Ruidoso area is amazing.
The OSI sounds just as pleasant as wing safety but with more authority.
I was interviewed by NCIS. Solid content, thank you.
Loved every minute guys. So much in common! Born in 85 boys!
Being drunk And finding a podcast of just Jared and garand thumb….. my life’s complete 😅
Yeah I freaking loved this, you two again
The 90s Nickelodeon recap made me so nostalgic. I will always be so grateful that I grew up in the 90s.
You guys need to have your own podcast this was amazing
Its great cause i still vaguely remember a few of these shows being born in 2001 and seeing a few reruns. But still boomerang with tom amd jerry was my whole ass childhood
I was born in 92, but I whole heartedly agree you guys had the best TV shows. My sister (Thank God) passed so many of her movies and TV shows on to me. I honestly think I was born in the wrong generation because barely anyone my age gets my references or state of mind.
God damn, Brandon is funny as hell.
"You're gonna make poppa Evan happy!"
Best episode so far
Damn, you guys are my exact age, and i'd lie if i said i wasn't nostalgia fanboying out for that entire section of the show. I think the jarred/garand thumb podcasts need to keep coming. WHERES PART 3!??!?!?!?!
Wtf? I thought the first podcast y'all did was the best one of the entire series! The stories had me rolling
Great podcast!
Thank you, thank you, a thousand times thank you. We only learn through failure, so J.T. must be a genius! LOL. Thanks J.T..
That was an awesome episode. I have got more done in the last hour and a half than I did all day yesterday just because I had two of my favorite UA-camrs talking in the background. Great podcast guys, look forward to the next one :D
Also yes, Crack is indeed still illegal.
Great podcast guys! I loved the first one and this one is even better. Congrats on the new baby Matt! Love the stories! Keep it real guys!
Blessed be the flannel daddy for getting the cow story to us.
Both were fantastic! Keep it up guys!
The cow story is freaking awesome 👌

Great podcast guys!
Get off topic more. Y’all’s rabbit trails are excellent!
I was in JTs ASOS when this happened. To this day, people don't believe me that this actually happened so I show them this podcast. Just a bonus that flannel daddy is the guest.

Awesome show! Interview James Yeager from Tactical Response next!

“Do you think she’s pretty?! You finish this script and she’ll finish you!! Don’t worry sweetheart, we’re gonna have you sign something.”
😂🤣💀
I'm a submariner. I was very surprised when he said being in a tube was something he wanted to do. Wanna know how I know you're gay?
Bro this made me fucking laugh 😂
I Love these podcasts with Garand Dad!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Drinking game: Take a shot every time Flannel Daddy says "you know"
Has an interesting / over achieving / tier 1/2 operator and you engage conversations about Television. Fantastic……..
This was a fantastic interview! This was so different than others I've heard with Mike Jones. 90’s tv was the Jam!
I totally love just hearing you guys shoot the shit. Loved the first episode, second episode was fantastic as well.
Awesome episode to listen to
I enjoyed this podcast as well as the last one I hope ya'll do another one
It’s Never Boring
The best thing aboutJared and Mike is that that could give 2 fucks about your opinion. Love them both for the “could give a shit less” attitude.
JT...... the most knowledgeable fucking mind reading 1990’s historian you’ve never heard of!!
Brandon Rogers in a Black Rifle video? Sold.
89 here and "are you afraid of the dark" was my jam!
Take 2!!! Thank you
Dude, the General Hospital fact - insane!
JONTRON HHATH EDUCATED US IN THE WAYS OF "ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK"
As a child born in ‘84 I feel this discussion in my bones! Cereal and TV? Hell yeah!
Dude, Saturday morning cartoons were the absolute shit!!!
I'd be interested to hear both of your opinions on OSI AST (Anti-Terrorism Specialty Team) specifically, given their more direct-action role running CT missions overseas for base defense. If you have any observations or insights on their performance from deployments that'd be cool to hear.
Had the old school up down cable box with the a and b switch
Finally, Brandon Rogers (maker of some of the best comedy on UA-cam) and Mike in the same video? (I know it was a commercial, but still, it counts...?) This is a sign.
