I like how they're normal looking. The cast of this show look like normal people and it’ll add to the realism of the world and allow you to really get immersed in the story. Young Royals is the same way.
this one got more hype and attention compared to young royals tbh cause i didnt even notice young royals existed ,i haven't even watch it yet but this one im surely gonna watch it.

@@stfu8345 Heartstoppers already had its fanbase among LGBT-novel readers way before it was adapted into the series while Young Royals is an original story produced just recently, plus it's not an English speaking show. YR defo can establish more fanbase but I'd say it's already done great the way it did bc I saw YR's contents exploded everywhere when it was first released and I didn't know about the show before.
I don't know why people compare Heartstopper and YR, but I looooove YR, and now this show too. Im in love with the webcomic 💞
@@stfu8345 I watched heartstopper ln. its very mid. its not bad but doesnt even come close to young royals. also young royals is a swedish show and isnt based off a pre existing piece of literature. which is why it wasnt marketed as much. but dont let that fool you, that show is much better than this one.
This show proves that you can make a very interesting romantic series without putting sex scene in every episode. Never have I ever skipped a scene in a series as this one. Every single scene in this series is just fantastic. And the chemistry between Nick and Charlie is so strong, even without showing the audience sex scenes and what not. I really need season 2

For real though, some shows that have scenes like that, I can never get through, but this one, I really connected well with the characters and its exactly what I want to watch .
If Netflix didnt order a second season, I'll literally cancel my subscription

Totally agree, but at this point it wouldn't bother me if they add a scene like that in future seasons because it's the normal part of a relationship. Plus, the show is already beautiful, it has content and meaning, the characters are awesome, it's a good story. It's not like they need to add sex scenes to get viewers or make the show famous, so it wouldn't be a problem for me tbh :)

I can't survive, i keep thinking about it like month now ugh.
I’m in my 60s and I’m just so glad that teens can risk coming out and having their first lives like straight kids have always been able to do, and I’m also glad for this LGBTQ+ representation. Just watched the first season (in a day) and it was truly heartstopping throughout.

I'm 66 and I too think it's wonderful. I am honestly so jealous and feel I was born 50 years too soon. It's a real shame that this is not the case for millions of young and older LGBT+ people across the globe. There is still a lot of fighting to do, but stuff like this will help.

I think Alice Oseman had more of a say about the casting and just because of that, the series was even more perfect. I can only count a few adaptations shown on Netflix that actually did it and Heartstopper's definitely one of 'em!!
Am muslim straight women. And although my religion and community are so against this I really loved watching it. And I learned soo much from this. They always make it sound horrible to be gay. But this how it should be for them

I just finished heartstopper and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Everything about it is so wholesome (besides the bullying part) and amazing. I am definitely waiting for season 2 to come out. PARIS SQUAD LEETTTS GOOO!!!

I didn't know abt this work whatsoever before the trailer was somehow recommended on UA-cam FOR ME WOW THANK GOD, and I know I've said this too many times but I never regretted watching the trailer n instantly got my heart stolen. I even binge read the webtoon, it's beautiful. I wanna thank Alice for writing such a touching story we all can relate to. Thank u for the staffs who also made this adaptation possible. And ofc, the casts, thank u for portraying the characters to life perfectly, I love you guys sm. This might be the first time I know y'all, but I promise we still hv a long road ahead of us. Can't wait to watch it! 💛

@@ly-sh1oy Disney announced the introduction from this year on of more LGBT+ characters in movies and series, and the chief creator of the MCU said that they'll not be banning or deleting characters for their sexual orientation, Billy is already part of the MCU and I think there'll be more of him in the trilogy focused on Wanda. Also Hulkling is a huge and very important part of the Young Avengers. The MCU is moving forward and really Teddy/Hulkling is too important to be deleted! I'm confident that we might see him in "Secret Invasion" or in "The Marvels" supporting Monica Rambeau in the Kree & Skrull war maybe

And yes probably in come countries, I particularly didn't see any critic or bad things about Eternals in that regard, the majority of the ppl said the movie was bad bc of the director and the order of events not the characters, like I said we'll see what happens ! Also America Chavez is lesbian, and she's yet to be introduced in this next movie, we haven't seen much of the next gen yet, and the LGBT content in the MCU is limited bc the characters haven't been introduced yet. At some point people said the same about series like this to be put on streaming services, "They'll never allow it" "They'll censor it" but here we are, hyping for them! Someone's got to be the first and I'm hopeful!

Every update is like a little pick me up, and getting to see it played out on screen is unreal! I haven’t been this excited for a show in a long time. Just everything in this story and these characters is so important and amazing! So many different kinds of people are represented here. I just love it ❤️❤️❤️

I love watching these interviews and videos after I watched the series. I never heard of this project nor Alice's web toons and was suggested to watch it on Netflix.Very glad I did. Such a positive reviewed show. Many great heart stopper moments. My favorite moment was probably the last episode where we see Nick's epiphany and how he really feels about Charlie.
