So that water atomizer that you tried to used to create the "steam" effect on the Old style pokeballs, usually has a small fan that pushes air through the vapor chamber and forces the "steam" out. Otherwise the water vapor just builds up and doesn't go anywhere. Adding a small water proof fan might cause some of that vapor to flow out of the top. Another thing to keep in mind about those atomizers, the water that comes off them is not only really pretty hot, it also has the high frequency vibrations used to atomize it. The combination of the hot water and high frequency vibration can melt and deform plastic pretty easily. I accidentally melted a plastic ruler after placing it over one of those atomizers to keep it from splashing. also, don't put your finger in the water near it either... it hurts... keep up the awesome work!
If you wanted to go with that holographic style that you couldnt use with the sticker paper, you could have put some holo-flakes inside the epoxy resin before applying it onto the quaxly

Legally no home crafter of pokemon good would start that shit, u'd be fighting a losing battle if legal got involved. Remember these videos are essentially showcases and if ppl want to make their own good for them
I wonder if it's possible to make a Beldum Powerbank, a Ditto Stressball or a Mr.Mime table? (eg. the surface of the table is an invisible wall made by mr. mime), or maybe a litwick electric candle?
Maybe for the steam affect, the ball could contain a humidifier? The one I own at least puffs out in a visible straight line if you turn on "mist mode"
The gas expelling from the poke all both in the legends acreus ball and Tera ball wasn’t concentrated into the pinhole shape at the top. You probably have gotten plenty of comments pointing this out. Looking into humidifiers and modeling something off that could work on a larger scale, but then it won’t be a pokeball replica anymore.
To get the steam, what if you made a smaller bowl on the top of the ball so the steam has less surface area to expand gathering more energy out the spout
Not really unless both parties actually kick up a fuss over pokemon themed home crafts Nintendo can only watch and wait til something DOES ruffle both parties, remember Nintendo have a stake in it but ultimately 'The Pokemon Company (formerly gamefreak)' own all rights to Pokemon and unless u ruffle their feathers they are mostly OK with the fans doing stuff like this (just don't sell it because u ruffle someone else's feathers that NEITHER have control over)
IDEA FOR THE LEGENDS ARCEUS POKEBALLS: Make them incense holders! Have a little recessed pocket at the top to hold those little incense cones, and it'll look like steam billowing out
Their entire catalogue is mainly aimed at kids not adults...that's a BIG difference, this man just likes to make stuff that we as adults can appreciate
I was watching this from the playlist and I dunno how but, it suddenly shifted to the hologram spiritomb video so seamlessly that I thought I was watching the same video. I looked down and it said I switched videos. That or, it's a new UA-cam feature that will highlight the video that you're talking about. Edit: I guess it really did change the video somehow
tip for safe water based steam, tomy made many water mist safe steam generators in different sizes mostly in their thomas products but a few in their japanese plarail range, Fisher Price also made some thomas ones too. I’d just steal one from a steam along thomas and modify it to my needs
Serious merch question; Why does magnezone have a keychain but Klink, the closest to a 2d pokemon so far, doesn't? A klink fridge magnet would work well too ngl
I've made a working pokeball with steam, if I may try and add something to it: 1)You can make the atomizer spew steam just by pressing a wet sponge to it, this way you avoid pouring a lot of water into it and you actually make it portable and more compact being able to include a battery and a driver board. 2)You should really add a hinge to it 3)To have a bit of the steamy effect you need to get the atomizer right at the top and use a sponge to keep it in contact with a water source I found this to be more effective than a fan because shortly after coming out the steam will dissipate either adhering to surfaces or simply because at the start it's concentrated and gets spread around quickly, adding the fan is hard in terms of space and it just adds space and surface for the water to condense onto, also it would imply a larger hole in which the vapor will spread becoming less visible Also you should really start looking into using a thick coat of primer on your prints, if they don't have too much detail you will get something similar to an anti-aliasing for your prints, it will easily reduce layer lines. That said I really love that spiritomb idea, that is fantastic.
This is incredible I love Pokémon but turning them in to something like this is very interesting in my opinion, by the way I love your content so I subbed!!!
I love that magnezone, do you have a link to the magnetic levitation platform you used? I'm pretty inexperienced with DIY stuff so I wouldn't trust myself to resize the model to fit a different sized magnet.

Pretty much everything he's showcased is still in what we call the prototype stage, he just wants to make something that works, smoothing out the details like surface texture is easy enough
In future: Recreate an Avalugg taking out and carving an entire iceberg, I do see you capable 👀, ok no xd, but I do see you capable of recreating a Cryogonal with some sheets that reflect a layer of ice (since it is a snowflake) and some flashlights as eyes, as well as some mustaches that move like transparent wires, among others, I'm just saying (specify those two, being my favorite Ice Type Pokémon ^^)

That Magnezone magnet is incredible
Agreed
Fr, hologram spiritomb too
I messaged him and he said he might be releasing levitating Magezones and Metagrosses.
True, wonder if he can make Magnamites
Yea but it isn't have levitate which is disappointing.

Pure genius.
Porygon stares into my soul every time I open our mini fridge now...
This is a high quality video, I’d want the Magnezone on my desk!
I'm over here wondering if this thing runs out if magnetic power!
I’d rather have that Voxel Spiritomb...
My favorite one has to be the Holographic Spiritomb, it's got so much character for a glorified fan and I love it for that.

Something about 3D printed models with noticeable burrs and layer lines just feels lazy, especially on finished products.

Using the steam deck to read Wikipedia instead of your phone is such an unnecessary flex lol
If the pokemon company made such ridiculously unique figures for every pokemon they wouldn't have been known as one of the most profitable companies.
Sometimes ppl forget there is just over 1000 pokemon to date...yeah
I would legit get a gaming desk top, hollow out a part of it, then put the magnet part in the hole and let the magnezone fly there
Today I learned I should have been taking safety precautions when using my resin.
When using anything chemical base one should take precautions
I've made a working pokeball with steam, if I may try and add something to it:
1)You can make the atomizer spew steam just by pressing a wet sponge to it, this way you avoid pouring a lot of water into it and you actually make it portable and more compact being able to include a battery and a driver board.
2)You should really add a hinge to it
3)To have a bit of the steamy effect you need to get the atomizer right at the top and use a sponge to keep it in contact with a water source
I found this to be more effective than a fan because shortly after coming out the steam will dissipate either adhering to surfaces or simply because at the start it's concentrated and gets spread around quickly, adding the fan is hard in terms of space and it just adds space and surface for the water to condense onto, also it would imply a larger hole in which the vapor will spread becoming less visible
Also you should really start looking into using a thick coat of primer on your prints, if they don't have too much detail you will get something similar to an anti-aliasing for your prints, it will easily reduce layer lines.
