They clearly state that the fruit was inedible because the tree had been neglected so long that it was diseased. And they did replace it with another tree. In the meanwhile, they could use some portable umbrellas for the BBQ or back lounge areas in the summer. And some lighting for extending the space to use into the evening hours. Good lighting can be a game changer! Making a simple garden very sexy and elegant. The planting is still very new. Give it another year , then two. It's going to get better if they give it some love
OMG they took down the Lemontree 😢😢😢😢 Very bad decision😢😢😢 This is not a garden, this is a good-looking ecological disaster! A garden is nature, not concrete! The floor has been completely sealed and not a single drop of rain can seep away: something like this has been banned in Switzerland (were I live) for 20 years!! And after two years the bamboo roots will stick out every where.
I love the area at the end, but wondered why mobility was not included. Right now they probably don't care but what about when they are older or someone has an accident and uses crutches or a wheel chair. Most of that garden would become unusable.
Not only that but in about a yr those 2 kids will be "tasting" everything. They won't be able to relax out there with kids because of constant monitoring to keep em from poisoning themselves. $65k....should have been thought out better. 😐
These new designs where every living thing is toutured into submission by concrete and steel just make me depressed. This is a patio with really large container plantings, not a garden.
Stuart + Monique: What you have there is, HIGHLY DESIRABLE, what is called (under one 'brand'?) CORTEN STEEL. I'd give both my right arms for it! Please be grateful & happy; it'll be beautiful.
Das Schönste, wurde entfernt, und das war der Zitronenbaum. Man haette ihn auch Ausgraben koennen, und in einen riesigen Terracotta-Topf stecken koennen.
Spectacular. Best thing to have removed that Lemon Tree. Was never going to work and you have a garden that far out weighs that Lemon tree, it was yakky anyway. Would love to know the name of many of the plants chosen, they are gorgeous. Is that a type of Fiddle Leaf Fig plant just before the table @ 27:13, wow
With global warming and water shortages, not a good idea to recover one’s garden with concrete and sacrificing a superb Lemmon tree. Fully disappointed. 😢
Now the home is going to be too small and the twins have nowhere to play so they will have to move to a larger home and yard. Of course there will be no return on their investment.
He mentioned nearby parks. The yard increases livable space, so definitely increases value. Need a barrier at deck edge when they are mobile, a bench or planters. TFS
Why do they cut the citrus tree? It was beautiful.
I agree . They need some shade . That tree just needed to be pruned professionally . I hate to see trees chopped down unless they are diseased .
Agree, took many years to grow and produce 😢

Because it was wholesome food. They can't have ppl actually being able to have real food. 😐😠
@@tlvance3973 ...replacement tree doesn't give edible food. 😐 And that lemon tree wasn't diseased. Just needed care.
Boo on killing the lemon tree to suit tfe design!

I already hated it for cutting the lemon tree...

Immediately looking for this type of steel in U.S... so beautiful
that's just cor-ten steel basically.
@@ursonateThank you for the name; I wanted to know as well!
Beautiful. Shame there's nowhere for the garbage bins and cars to be off the street
The monster sized bbq is ugly and why not a water feature ... More trees!
I am soooooo sorry dor this beautiful lemontree, how could they do this???? Every home should have a lemontree!!!
Sad about the lemon tree😢
What's on the walls.? Aircon
Ich denke, man hätte alles sein lassen können, wie es ist, und nur die hintere Bretter-Wand entfernen.

really overlooked, no lemon tree, no mobility, so much concrete... blurgh.

Шкода лимонне дерево. Дизлайк.
The introduction to this video with the dumb dramatic music turned me off. Don’t want to watch the rest.
