It makes such a difference in these small spaces to have some architectural detail - that ceiling is a treasure. It's hard to imagine anyone being thrilled in future years to uncover the original features of our developer-built housing. A lovely little space and clever use of the length with the one built-in piece.
This apartment was definitely a challenge with this long small shape. They did a great job, and the balcony is a plus! I also like that they didnt customize everything, but just the kitchen/wardrobe and used vintage design furnitures to make it more personal.
I love how they designed this incredibly small space! It is extremely functional and cozy. The layout truly maximizes the natural light. Situating the living room next to the balcony was a smart choice. My favorite part is the ceiling. It adds so much character and charm to the home. Bravo!
The ceiling makes it. Marvelous restoration. And kudos for the thrifted furniture. The space has it all with the balcony. Beauty, simple luxury, & function.
love the idea of bringing natural light to the living room area and shifting the bed room to the darker side-smart! also love the idea of keeping the character of the building and still very practical.
Agree that it's a smart idea to have the bed on the darker side of the apartment. However, I do find it kinda strange to see the bed right as you enter the apartment 😂 I would've put a Murphy bed instead.
@@AlexAlex-gj4jdI don’t think a Murphy bed would allow the amount of storage the current bed manages to achieve. And there is something to said for an inviting bed just waiting to be jumped on. No fussing about. Instant indulgence.
@@jobro45 Murphy bed frees up a big space for a storage cupboard (beside the bed) and space to walk around freely for most part of the day. I think it also looks a lot better walking in without the bed in sight....especially if you have visitors.
Wow, 29m2 is a serious challenge. This has been nicely and logically done. I would suggest adding a shelf above the bed, to match the one in the kitchen, to provide some extra storage, and a dedicated space for the projector.
amazing how they made such a tiny tiny space feel cozy and inviting. the ceiling and the lightning is amazing. also adore the table and chairs she chose.
Can’t believe someone covered that stunning ceiling, but maybe that was a blessing as it wasn’t damaged. Love the use of the single piece of furniture, very clever and thought out.
This ceiling is everything. Clever decision to put lights between the beams, love it! Old architecture is a treasure. And I love practicality of the approach - I need the same or similar sofa❤so friends and family can stay for one night with enough comfort.
Absolutely love it! ❤The balcony is a plus, where you can have breakfast, work on your laptop, contemplate the sky, feel the breeze of the wind, feel the warmth of the sun, and philosophize on life 😸 Absolutely 💯
Beautiful!! I would add a heavy curtain at the end of the small entrance to stop the noise that would come from the staircase and would have created a nook for the bed area to separate more from the dining and kitchen area.
Lovely, and mainly, very functional! One really doesn't more (space!) to live a quality life! I love BCN to death; the time I lived there was fantastic and absolutely unique, thanks to its original architecture, among other things. Kudos to the cooperation of the owner and the architect who together created a very livable space without spending tons of money on useless total remodeling and compromising the owner's needs. The light distribution is well-thought, and the vaulted ceiling is a hidden gem of this small space. Though the entire apartment is pretty minimalistic, the overall impression is rather cozy, though modern. I am a big fan of the originally Hungarian architect Marcel Breuer, and I have been in love with his Cesca chair forever, so I am thrilled to see it in this small cutie. Well done, ladies!
Nice! I saw a similar design on a different YT channel for a railroad-styled apartment, but there was no implementation then. This work really brought out how nice a place this style can be. Thanks!
my university room had an all in one wooden piece that was bed/kitchen/desk/wardrobes and although obviously not as beautiful as this but it always stayed with me as an excellent idea!
this elongated floor plan is challenging indeed and I think especially the living area came out very nice. I'm not sure about the bed. I would have probably opted for a Murphy bed or another solution that could keep that space more versatile when needed.
En el segundo en que empezaron a hablar sabia que eran argentinas jajja..loved it girls, great choice of materials, the sealing and flooring are just perfect
I believe it's the appartment of one of the Never Too Small employee (or CEO ? idk). You can see some of it in the episode "Multifunctional Furniture for Your Living Room", and overall during the sponsored parts of the videos.
beautiful space and i love the decor! personally, I feel the bed juts out awkwardly and I would have rotated the bed so the bedhead was perpendicular with the kitchen - maybe using wardrobes or shelving as a partition, to separate the spaces and make the bedroom feel more private and cosy also using the curtain. but otherwise a great use of space and beautiful custom joinery :)
VERY impressive amount of space for 312 sq. ft! Love the thin refrigerator that blends into the wardrobe. The only downside (or upside) is the bedroom/entrance seems to be a bit dark due to limited windows/natural light. Would've liked more details on the budget as they mentioned limited budget affecting any upgrades in the bathoom.
Love this micro-apartment -- they did everything to maximize the space and the payoff is the spacious feeling and multi-functionality. Seems like a manageable reno, too, on that micro scale, therefore inspiring.
The integrated furniture was a practical move. In such an elongated space with only one side receiving direct sunlight, it's always best to avoid walls. Very compact. The best feature is the vault ceilings. ❤
Completely brilliant. A bed is more easily transformed into a greeting space for guests than anything else. Simply a brilliant way to make sense of the rest of the space.
@5:10 It would have been great to make the door of the wardrobe a 2 part foldable variant, hinged on the right side. That way, when opened/folded out it would serve as a dividing wall between the bedroom and kitchen/living room (and make the bedroom dark, if needed)
Congratulations to the designers, you can tell they really care about meeting the owners expectations and creating a warm, personalized home out of every projects. Kuddos!
Absolutely beautiful and liveable. Whenever I watch these episodes I try to imagine living there. I could definitely live in this one but I’d have to get rid of some animals 😂
love this space. the only change i'd make is having a murphy bed instead to free up some more room during the day but i understand that's not everyone's preference. nonetheless, really well done design despite the challenging layout
Fill the cushion with knitted blankets to allow air to penetrate through (effective ventilation of air). Make the blankets the size in which they are conveniently washable by hands. Can roll up a knitted blanket to make a pillow that is thoroughly washable by hands and that can 'breathe'. Thank you so much. I think I can return to work quite soon!
My major objection is the placement of the bedroom. Personally, I would not be comfortable sleeping by the front door. Perhaps it could have been incorporated into the living area. So, order of spaces... living area by the windows, dining and kitchen following. Bathroom of course would stay at the same location. Love the ceiling.... ❤
This is exactly as my former flat in Barcelona. Funny to see the potential unfolded for real. Mine was in the raval so i sold before loosing my investment.other hoods are still bearable
Holy moly they actually made an episode with less than 30sqm apartment. Truly a never too small
The funny thing is that they make 10 minutes episodes with those little apartments when you could do it in like three minutes.
Oh, I saw episodes with even 25sqm apartments! Quite a miracle how nice they can still be.
yeah some are to much big 😅
Really nice points made in this Video. I've just sent an email to you asking about the link/website for the 1:1 you recommend :) *suluxy*
Just in case you missed it last video was one hour compilation with 13 apartments under 30m2

IMO having access to some sort of outdoor space is absolutely essential with apartments of this size.
Fresh air is heavily underestimated

The choice of lighting fixtures to accent the ceiling is lovely.
how do they get power tho, and why does the swinging lamp not use the same power?

Charming 29 sqm apartment with a distinct Catalan vibe. Loved the clever study, kitchen, and wardrobe combo. Well done, Eugenia and Camila!
opening the door, taking off shoes and jumping onto your bed is the cosiest feeling. Perfect solo place!

Beautiful!!

pretty typical here in Barcelona! but hard to get a flat like that these days.

Very beautiful and intelligent use of space. Love the simplicity and respect for the history of the building.

Definitely a favorite of mine now. It's perfect! I'd only need space for books.
Great point! There is a space for books behind the bed!
Really like the plush, soft, comfy, velvet sofa bed.
Very smart space.
I really like it.
Feels calm.
Very clever use of space. Think I would add a second curtain to mask off the bathroom and front doors from the bed.

That dog at 1:44, giving the camera operator the side eye. Hilarious!
cheeky and adorable❤
Beautiful cosy apartment with airy feel, Spanish designers often create great spaces
One of them said they're from Argentina :)
The renovation really highlights the perfect balance of preserving the apartment's original character while introducing functional, modern elements.
