  • Moses McCormick (AKA Laoshu) was one of the greatest polyglots who ever lived. He was not only known for his tremendous skill with languages, but also for his compassion and humility. He was one of my biggest inspirations for making content and learning languages in general and I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to laugh and learn languages alongside him.

Thanks for this. I appreciate the respect paid to this legend and his brand of Embrace'ism (word I made up just for what Laushu did, feel free to use it) It's nice to see other Poly's that pay respect to what he did opposed to other's that tried to make a video claiming he was a fake like
Oriental Pearl and Matt vs Japan tried to intimate in a past video. Respect!

@ColeLangs I have to say you are a wonderful human being!! Thank you so much for honoring my brother's work and giving his legacy the light that you gave it in this video. I was just searching youtube and this video came up and it touched my soul to the core. You are an incredible human being how you humbly and honestly explained the dynamic of his talent. I thank you so much! I am now a fan and now a subscriber. May God bless you in abundance and keep being awesome like you are!! Thank you!!!
    Peace Love and Light,

Moses was so amazing and made such an impact. I have revisited his videos so many times just to rewatch some of the genuinely happy connections he made along the way as well as to see if I have progressed in my languages to understand what he and the native speaker said hahaha. I am so happy you showed the fishing video as that is probably my favorite video as well since the first language I learned (besides my native one) was mandarin so I went from understanding very little of it to understanding the majority if not the entire thing hehehe. It makes me so happy to learn languages no matter how laborious it might be at times.

He not only spoke the languages but also knew how to read and write the different alphabets. By chance the first video I saw of him was this one with the fishermen. RIP Moses. What i find sad is that once moses passed, his brother which seemed like a great person in his videos went mental and started making tons of videos on his own channel saying the government killed his brother with a heartattack pistol, and he even opened a copied website to mose's where he redirects people and sells moses courses (Even though they are still available on laoshus official website). Even set up a gofundme for "catching the killers" which is at $10k now! However the money probably goes to his own pocket..
To see him taking advantage of his brothers death like this is disgusting! RIP Laoshu legend!

A close friend of Moses did a live stream exposing his brother. Basically Moses was providing for him because he didn't have a job and once Moses started dating that girl he felt threatened and their relationship turned toxic. He even played audio clips of Marc screaming at Moses and his girlfriend to the point where they locked themselves in a room because they felt unsafe with him in the house.
