This is incredible
This ain't no cover, this is art.
luv him on a tele .......
He is on fire man!!!!! His chops run deep my friends. One of the most knowledgeable players out there with great taste and an unmistakable sound and character.
No one living can touch this man.
Greg's made this his own now, with Koch Jr paying loving tribute to Bonham's organic style behind the kit. Tastefully done!
Damn that boy can sure play that plank....One of the best around!!
“FAB-Bliss-E-Mo!”
Killer technique. Killer tone!
5:51 saw right into your soul. You had to turn away
“Mommy, look! That man has no hair!”
'Be quiet! He might hear you!'
Superb, Justsaying
Wow!
Woah! Is that Jimi Hendrix Koch?
Plexi sound?
I have nothing, I sold my gear. 🤣
I normally don't like Greg's ostentatious style and IMHO obnoxious "chicken pickin" but he's right on here/fantastic rendition.
Hey, "chicken pickin' pickers" need love too...
When iconic songs are covered the guitar player should always play the solo EXACTLY like the original recording, it's a Respect thing.
That has pretty much always been my long-held belief, and I couldn’t agree more! About the ONLY guitarist I give a pass to.. SRV (Voodoo Child/Little Wing).
If it was you, that would be your challenge. We let Greg get up there and do whateverthehell he feels like pulling off, because not only did he do a great job sticking to the original job, he embellished like a good talented guitarist should, to make it his own RENDITION, as the title implies. This isn't for the record, its just the way the world revolves around a guitarist. Sorry we all got in your way, not so sorry though. Besides, if it were truly this "competitive" to be exact ND right on, we would just listen to the recording instead. I came for Greg, I got Gregzeppelin. Great!
That is just an absurd statement. Playing it the same negates the whole thing. No musician is (or aspires to be) a Xerox machine.
What makes you think any famous guitarist would care about that? I'm sure Page would enjoy hearing variations on his riffs. He didn't play it the same way live himself. Ironic that you say that about a group that played variations on many songs they didn't even credit the original artists for.
@markmarsh27 I was preparing to type up a response to your comment when it suddenly dawned on me that your comment is so ridiculously absurd it can only mean one thing... you're TROLLING! You almost got me 😅
