Now that JB is gone, so glad there's a torch bearer out there who can keep "cause we've ended..." afloat. It's such an amazing piece and GK is an amazing player! I'm going to see him in San Diego later this month.....Can't wait!
I am so pleased and proud of Greg, and having his fantastic drummer son Dylan playing together... as a father- I just find this beautiful!!!! everybody talks about "who is the best" I always say there is no best- music is not a competitive sport, but I must say Greg Koch is very special as a player and person, and I love his music and playing.
First saw Greg on Tone Talk with Dave Friedman and Marc Huzanski and Greg was talking about the first time they played together and it was Immediate magic so they recorded a few songs and I must say Im very Impressed, and how cool is it to play on stage with your son
I have heard of him, but just now finally got to see this, and I am very impressed! Fender named him as one of the top 10 best unsung, guitar players, or something along those lines. They were right! Love it.
Once I heard the middle solo section of 'Cause We've ended as Lovers, I said, "Oh, okay, so this is how it is." Dude is a monster at phrasing and creative playing.
I am in awe of your camera and editing work. The closeups of the fretboard during Greg's solos are wonderful. I would love to see some videos of how you record and post-process.
If Satch and Vai ever do another G3 tour, Greg needs to be invited. And just before that, someone needs to create the 'Jorgenson/Koch Housewreckers' (or something along the lines of that title).
The Tele & LP are still very relevant in the modern age. Check the specs on Greg's signature Reverend T-style, though. Pickups & onboard preamp are definitely a step beyond Leo's originals.
the organ bass lines aren't picket up as much on this recording. I have seen them live a few times and Toby does fill in with b3 bass lines to make up for not having a bass player. Although not as much as Joey DeFrancesco did when I saw him a few years back. Joey really is one of the greatest Hammond organ players.
Thank you man! Great job!🙏🏼 and thank you Datflys!! Wonderful job with your cameras and with the sound!! This Trio is great!!! Datflys…put the tracklist by @namelesgrey as first comment😉
To elaborate on tylertribby's response to your question, is the keyboard has foot pedals to play those deep bass notes. John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin for example, is using only keyboard foot pedals for the bass notes in the song "No Quarter"......among many others. If ya don't hear them, is because ya need good headphones. The tiny speakers in iphones, laptops, and tablets, just don't cut it for true sound quality. Even cheap headphones don't capture the low frequencies of bass notes very well, whether those notes are being played through a bass or keyboard pedals.
David Garibaldi, Mitch Mitchell and Ian Paice somehow molded together to form a new drummer! I’m sure Jimi would brand Greg his favorite guitar player.
Incredible performance! Also incredible recording. Clear, crisp and punchy. Thank you very much for sharing.
Saw them last night in Atlanta. Hell of a show! My wife makes his beanies.
This is one of my favourite guitar players, so underrated , so fcukin slick it's so unbelievable and for a German guy - and what a sense of humour
Koch can do everything on any axe and any genre.. incredible player and his band mates and just as great... hello from cold NJ
Excellent band.❤🎸.
Perfect......one of the best Boca Raton concert.....
This is the chit I like. They can have the ones heard a million times because that's who they played on the radio.
This is the shit.
Thank you
Hands down, one of the very best guitar players on the planet. His vocabulary is immense.

Outstanding.
Greg is always great.👍
Datflys delivers the goods again. Thanks!

trop bien ! trop cool ! merci !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A big thanks to whomever is recording, mixing and sharing this. It's an excellent performance by the band in an excellent setting.
Thank you for the compliment!
Stunningly amazing. I sometimes think of Greg as the ghost of Danny Gatton. If Danny were alive today, I think these two would be the best of friends.
Exactly my thoughts about the recording!!...that drum kit sure sounds awsome!!...
Thanks for the work you put in recording and mixing. I love gregs playing.
This band COOKS!
Awesome ❤❤❤
That's just too much !! 😳😵 Gerg's the MAN
One word: Fantastic!!!
Dylan is just as badass as Greg. Awesome!
That drum kit is tuned perfectly
I was there❤. Incredible camera work on the close ups
Loved it noting more to say great music and great talented musicians, excellent show very inspiring

Fantastic opening. I did hear the "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" quote. Greg Koch's great.
fucking good keyboard bass and same times great organ playing great keyboardist
Hope you guys make it to nj or Philly
Fantastic!!!!🔥🔥🔥

I bet these three could tear Deep Purples Lazy a new one!
Outstanding performances by these seasoned musicians. Beautiful tunes, skyrocketing solos, super fun show. KMT delivers!!!!
Couldn't agree more!
Beck-isms ahoy in Sweet Tea !!!!
🎸🔥🔥🎹🥁❤❤ Master Koch
Great hands and brilliant melodic guitar ideas!!
The gristle is SWEET!
Great trio
Awesome!
what a beautiful kock show indeed

And just before that, someone needs to create the 'Jorgenson/Koch Housewreckers' (or something along the lines of that title).
Here we are, 70 years after the invention of rock and roll and electric guitars, and this guy plays pretty much the first electric guitar made.
The Tele & LP are still very relevant in the modern age. Check the specs on Greg's signature Reverend T-style, though. Pickups & onboard preamp are definitely a step beyond Leo's originals.
The best! Greg is a fun guy, but can you see the level of concentration when he's playing? He's just taken to another world. Can you dig it?

@2:25:06 Funk meat
Thank You!

Jimi Hendrix. Jeff Beck. Adrian Belew. Greg Koch.
Jeff Beck (RIP) can't be copied, but no one ever said he couldn't be Kocheried. Well done, Gristlemiester. :-)
Is there a timeline /song list for this amazing performance? Incredible talent!

@@datflys No sweat, thank you for another wonderful production. I don't think they've recorded "Ropes" on an album yet.

Awesome as always! May i just ask, is there no need for a bassist?
Toby is playing bass on the keys

Once again a master musician chooses Fender to express.
Not a Fender😮. It’s a Reverend.
And not when he's playing the Les Paul!
It’s definitely inspired by a Telecaster.
