Despite the popular belief that survivors rely heavily on these perks, the group decides to challenge themselves by playing with no mither and no other perks whatsoever, depriving themselves of even a first chance at survival.
With no safety net to rely on, the players must rely solely on their experience and skill to outsmart the killers and make it to the end of the match.. Will the survivors be able to hold their own and prove that skill and experience are truly the most important factors in Dead by Daylight? Watch this video to find out!

Seriously, on high MMR and/or 3man + SWF, no second chance perks should be base kit. Or +1/2/3 additional perk slots for killers, to counter balance the game. Solo with 3,5k hours is manageable. With a good team that actually does gens however, it is laughably easy to win. As survivor, most of the time i die it is because i run high risk stuff, run into the killer on purpose, play ultra altruistic et cetera because this whole holding m1 and run for exit gate for the three thousands time is just too boring.

Honestly skill can only go so far if your opponent is equally as skilled or even better so I think second chance perks matter more to help you if you do mess up... don't know if that's a hot take

That blight must've experienced the worst gen-rush game they ever played against
The Blight had to bring 4 slowdowns otherwise he would have gotten gen rushed. He’s only the second strongest killer in the game so there’s no way he can adequately pressure gens and end chases quickly without those perks.
@@swatson5699 getting down to 0.5 gens left with all four alive with probably the most powerful anti-gen setup possible at that time on one of the two most powerful killers vs a team of people that are all 1-shots is legitimately peak 'just pressure gens', so i appreciate that, i'm always on the lookout for high-end [your brain on survivor] moments
@@Evalora The survivors had over 38,000 hours of playtime and were juicing the Blight at times. Even so they didn’t even come close to winning. He had a 3 gen build (Eruption and CoB) and they had zero ability to break that 3 gen. The game wasn’t even close.
That being said, I’m not 100% sure what your point is so I may be misunderstanding you.

the match 'wasn't even close' when 5th gen likely would've been completed if the voip callout on going down wasn't completely flubbed - because they obviously weren't taking the match seriously at that point - with extremely massive handicaps
the point of my comment was to be satirical to your sarcastic comment that was completely and utterly oblivious to how the second most powerful killer in the game with good addons and nearly the most powerful build vs pure 1-shot survivors with no perks came within an inch of losing because of their game experience, a shit map and out-of-game communication
unless you somehow weren't being sarcastic and were actually sympathetic to the blight despite your comment reading like someone mocking the killer in this instance
@@Evalora You claim old eruption doesn’t work against swfs and then say it won the blight the game versus a swf. There’s a reason it was a staple in the competitive scene.
The game wasn’t close at all. If you’re going against a competent team the first 3 gens will pop immediately because survivors have every pallet for the first chase and the three survivors not in chase can all work on gens. As soon as the killer has one hook the gens massively slow down because someone is hooked and another person has to go for the unhook. Of course a squad with no Mither will still manage to do a few gens.
The blight wasnt tunneling at all. If he did he would have won by even more.

I once by pure chance got 2 no mither guys in my soloq, and i was also having no mither. We had a lot of fun bodyblocking the hooks. Couple guys might go down, but that was not a problem

Perks, items and RNG are so influential in the game that sometimes it doesn't matter how good or bad you are, they will carry you or doom you. And yeah, second chance perks are the best perks for survivor, just how gen control perks are the best ones for killer. And most of the playerbase sadly relies on both of them to get carried.
Add Skill and 2nd chances together and BOOM, INBALANCE EXTRAVAGANZA. No wonder every game is against Blights and Nurses.

I had a 4 no mither team yesterday. They probably had resilience and other gen rush stuff I forgot to check. They were all good in chase and had an autohaven offering. I only managed a 2K with trickster. It wasn't a draw though because they used no mither apparently lol.

Second chance perks are very strong but imo skill always ‘wins’ whenever it comes to enjoyment of the game. When I first started playing I’d use perks like DS and Adrenaline on most builds but once I got comfortable in chases I dropped both perks and now just run whatever builds I feel are fun. I hardly even run any exhaustion perks either and just make niche builds that are unique or interesting. I’ve always found it more enjoyable and fun when people run things that aren’t quite predictable. Instead I end up seeing the same perks from a pool of like 12 on others every match lol.
I really wish they just buffed underused perks on both sides and experimented to see what makes more perks stronger and more worth bringing so there’s a higher variety to use from. Although there are some perks that just flat out need nerfs to balance them out before any buffing.

Ayrun plays in such way that second chance perks do not matter that much for him. The man does every imaginable risky thing can be done in a match, so not getting away with 2 or 3 risky stuff when his matches are filled with them would make little difference.
