Damn. I remember when this kid auditioned for that tv talent show. Then one direction was huge and i never cared bc i am too old for that. But this kid has MADE me sit up and listen (since seeing him on SNL). He freaking delivers the vocal. Gorgeous voice. Rich and strong. He has intention, he is present. Storyteller.
Just going to go ahead and say this: if you don't like Harry Styles and think he isn't talented, you are disagreeing with Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood who said that this is the best cover they have ever heard of one of their songs - they also want to adopt him, and Stevie Nicks came to sing with him. (You're also disagreeing with Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney, who have sang Harry's praises). Upon seeing negativity in the comments for him, I wanted to point this out.
I think it's more of an opinion than anything else to be honest.. I admire his talent and he a good musician for sure but this just doesn't work for me, although I'm a die hard Fleetwood Mac fan so I very rarely take well to any of their songs being covered. A lot of that comes down to the chemistry that Fleetwood Mac had on stage, the tension was always electric and I just don't feel like anyone else can capture that same chemistry on stage when playing their songs.

To be honest, I wasn’t really a huge 1D fan and never really paid attention to the individual singers when they were a group. They sang catchy tunes that’s for sure, but oh boy how much I regretted because when they went on their own directions and found their own voice, I learned to love and respect them as individual artists, but Harry, Harry caught my heart and soul when he turned to be such a fine and talented man. His songs, the meaning behind the lyrics, his individuality, he is pure art.

Sure. But you should definitely give a listen to other 1D members. They make great music too specially Louis and Niall...Louis' "Walls" album is an absolute masterpiece. U will also find many beautiful lyrics with deep meanings in it. Also, I know Harry deserves everything he has. But can't deny that other 1D members are underrated af specially Louis. Also, in his 1D days, Harry and Zayn were the most famous no matter it was not their fault but I think people didnt/don't give other members enough credit. But this kid has MADE me sit up and listen (since seeing him on SNL). He freaking delivers the vocal. Gorgeous voice. Rich and strong. He has intention, he is present. Storyteller.

Just going to go ahead and say this: if you don't like Harry Styles and think he isn't talented, you are disagreeing with Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood who said that this is the best cover they have ever heard of one of their songs - they also want to adopt him, and Stevie Nicks came to sing with him. (You're also disagreeing with Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney, who have sang Harry's praises). Upon seeing negativity in the comments for him, I wanted to point this out.

I think it's more of an opinion than anything else to be honest.. I admire his talent and he a good musician for sure but this just doesn't work for me, although I'm a die hard Fleetwood Mac fan so I very rarely take well to any of their songs being covered. A lot of that comes down to the chemistry that Fleetwood Mac had on stage, the tension was always electric and I just don't feel like anyone else can capture that same chemistry on stage when playing their songs.

To be honest, I wasn’t really a huge 1D fan and never really paid attention to the individual singers when they were a group. They sang catchy tunes that’s for sure, but oh boy how much I regretted because when they went on their own directions and found their own voice, I learned to love and respect them as individual artists, but Harry, Harry caught my heart and soul when he turned to be such a fine and talented man. His songs, the meaning behind the lyrics, his individuality, he is pure art.

Sure. But you should definitely give a listen to other 1D members. They make great music too specially Louis and Niall...Louis' "Walls" album is an absolute masterpiece. U will also find many beautiful lyrics with deep meanings in it. Also, I know Harry deserves everything he has. But can't deny that other 1D members are underrated af specially Louis. Also, in his 1D days, Harry and Zayn were the most famous no matter it was not their fault but I think people didnt/don't give other members enough credit. Louis' songwriting skills are also on a whole next level. He is jus simply amazing!

Red 91 we wont know if he is going to be popular in 40 years time until that day comes. obviously fleetwood mac, the beatles etc are legendary and comparing harry and one direction to them would seem outrageous to some people. but that being said..one direction is statistically the most successful boy band in history, so saying that he “is just a kid from a boy band” seems far off. in my opinion (and in the opinion of thousands and thousands of others) harry is very talented and has more to him than just being in a boy band. i’m guessing you aren’t a huge fan of him, and you wouldn’t know how far he has come since the beginning. he has achieved so many incredible things in the past 10 years, and over that time has grown so much as an artist. moral of the story, a lot of boy bands disappear after a few years, but i truly believe harry will stay an iconic artist for many years to come.
