Big thanks to everyone for helping solve the problem, especially ri6n43ly4u, really appreciate the time and effort you guys put into getting this figured out :)
For anyone needing to know how to export from Blender you can find that here:

If you want to know how to export from Maya you can find that here:

Also, some extra notes from ri6n43ly4u in case you are having problems exporting from Blender:
1) You may need to set your unit to 0.01 and scale up 100 times before applying transformations? If not, you may end up with a physics assets broken due to scale.
2) When you import to unreal, if you choose the Manny skeleton instead of making a new one - you end up using Manny's physic assets and the cape will bounce off of Manny's shoulders and arms and legs and whatnot. In the chaos cloth you can then set subdivision and iterations higher and it gets super super smooth as the legs move about. With 2 you can do that after too. Just apply Manny's physic assets to your mesh and delete the one that got created on import -
Can I request a Blender 4 to UE5 tutorial? How to get a "Rigify" Rig into UE5 and use the new Modular Control Rigs? The "Rigify" legs appear to be an issue with UE Control Rig Modules. When I drag the UE Control Rig "Leg" modules on, the knees fold up on themselves. Thank you for this Cloth tutorial incorporating Blender!
I think the biggest value of your tutorials is when you say "here's the four steps out of the 27 you would have had to fiddle with that makes it work."
ALGO comment, because this guy deserves it. Great video as aways!
Very high damping if u wanna be quicksilver 😅
Squash and stretch animations in unreal 5.4 pls ..it’s a new feature
ALGO thanks for making something complex into something simple and easy to follow
to complete this tutorial what would be missing is the "collision part", how to create the collision capsules for cloths and others stuffs.
the cloth penetrate her arms
How do I prevent it from clipping through the character mesh? I use cloth physics for the hair in a game I am developing for a friend's company and sometimes it will flip over her head and cover her face like an overgrown beard.
Can I request a Blender 4 to UE5 tutorial? How to get a Blender "Rigify" rig into UE and use the new "Modular Control Rigs?" When I use the Blender Rigify Rig in UE, the knees fold up when I add the Leg Modules.
Is there a way to paint the weights in an external software like blender and import them into unreal? I find it very difficult to achieve good weights within UE..
Ngl I sub just for the chill, sinking outro :D
best tutorial channel
Awesome stuff, thanks for this!
Love you mate
Now we can look epic.
How about godot?
